Arrow The Summer Glau/Isabel Rochev thread

I really liked her. Also remember there was a business woman in high heels talking to Fyers at the end of last season, could potentially be her.

Bringing in Black Canary allows to have a high level female villain, wouldn't really be right for Oliver to seriously hit a woman beyond restraining them. The character she plays seems loosely connected to the New 52 write up, would expect some backstory involving her and Olivers father, mom obviously knows of her too.

Could be this seasons Barrowman.
Why? If you're a villain in a CB world, then the hero will punch you regardless of your gender. I see no reason why male villains can get the tar beaten out of them, but somehow you can't hit a female one simply BECAUSE she's a woman. That's just stupid.

It's the difference between comic books and television. No show on a respected network which airs in the evening is going to show intense male on female violence anymore, and if they do they'll get tons of complaints. It's just society. You don't even see it in pro-wrestling anymore.

Oliver has beaten the crap out of China White before and shot her in the leg with an arrow.

That double standard is annoying, and also kind of insulting to female villains in general.

I hope they're leading up to something significant with Glau's character, because as of right now her character on the show seems very wooden.

What I always loved on BSG was that, when a female character threw a punch at a male one, the male wouldn't hesitate to throw one back.

From the spoilers that I had read, some of her back story and motivations will be revealed in later episodes..presumably before the winter break commences.

She is on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson tonight on CBS.

I think they are setting the character up well, she's playing Ollie along.

Well, I totally called the Summer/Oliver hook up. This is going to come back to haunt Oliver later.

I'm glad they bonded and hooked up. It gave the writers an opportunity to give her a personality.

That was an awkward and strange interview. I caught the end of his previous interview and that was pretty awkward as well. What a strange show and a waste of time for everyone involved.

^ I suppose you are talking about the talk show?

I like how they always have her wearing red dresses. Nice subtle nod to the comics.

Wow! Lydia Wilson looks like a carbon copy of summer glau!

Craig Ferguson is the worst interviewer so no surprise there

It is sort of odd to have that double standard and sadly enogh might be part of the reason a new Wonder Woman show hasn't been made.

Isabel Rochev was actually one of those people on the list.

I think I read somewhere that Oliver will realise he was on the list
