I cancelled my standing order for Superior. Money is tight and I felt I didn't care enough about where Superior is going to really put up with it. I'm still a bit curious, but I think I'll just listen to reviews or hand out here occasionally to see what's happening. Other than that I'm not too bothered.

It does look nice. But he ****ed up the back of the Spider-Man costume in that first page.

compared to the rest of the work on those panels, a very minor and inconsequential ****up that is easily and quickly corrected... ESPECIALLY if Soy became a regular artist on the book...

now THIS is a Soy product that I can willingly digest without complaint...

FEED ME MORE!... :cwink: :woot:

It is easily fixable. So why didn't he fix it in that one panel? It's just lazy. "Yeah, I messed up that costume. Who cares? It's only Spider-Man. And when they see the rest of my art, they're going to overlook it."

No.

 The rest of the art really makes it irrelevant.

lighten up... don't be such a nitpick perfectionist... it's such a minor thing that possibly may have been overlooked by him, dontcha think?...

There is a separate issue 6 that sticks to the main story in the book. 6AU is pretty much a side book.

Ok... thanks...

It's pretty much like a 0.1 issue...

So we'll get Superior Spider-Man #6, Superior Spider-Man #6AU & then Superior Spider-Man #7 in that order.

:yay:

Awesome preview. Is Spidey-Ock's little spider robots turning those Ultron robots into tentacled machines?

Looks like it, having Ultron Doc Ock's running around to help save the day. :D

I might just skip #6AU as I'm skipping the whole AU event entirely(due to money)...although its difficult to resist Spidey...

Yeah, because detail isn't part of an artist's job or anything.

It's not gonna keep me from buying the book or anything. I'm just surprised that an artist can't remember how to draw one of the most well-known costumes of all time.

I know, it's UNHEARD of for an artist to forget how to draw one of the most well-known costumes of all time... :whatever:

Did I say that it's okay when other people do it? No, I didn't. That's as much of a **** up as the one in the preview.

You're making this out to be way more than it is. All I said was that he messed it up. Not OHMIGOD HE'S THE WORST ARTIST EVER BECAUSE HE MESSED UP THE COSTUME I'LL NEVER BUY ANYTHING HE DRAWS.

Pick your battles.

jesus already, SOMEONE'S wound up tighter than he needs to be today...

just appreciate the art that you like for what it is...

relax and slow down, young man... you'll only wind up giving yourself a headache having a battle by yourself... :whatever:

Well, if anyone had any doubt that Doc Ock, by adopting Peter's creed of "with great power comes great responsibility", will only wind up becoming an even greater menace as Spider-Man than ever, one only has to read today's Avenging Spider-Man #17.

How so? I dropped the book due to money.

Well, the issue not only involves SpOck babysitting the Future Foundation kids, but also the Time Variance Authority, who, of course, know full well that "Spider-Man" is now Doc Ock in Peter's body. Towards the end of the issue
it's revealed that SpOck will, in the near future, do something "horrible" that will cost many lives and that the TVA can't do anything about because it's "out of their jurisdiction." As they're saying this, we learn that SpOck, while at the Baxter Building, took from the vault the glass encasement that Peter imprisoned Sandman in during Ends of the Earth and hooked it up to some device in his old underwater base.

Holy crap! I've owned that issue since buying it off the rack as a kid... and I never noticed the back Spider missing on that cover. haha, what a trip. I just had to go pull it out of the long box and see. Sure enough. That just blows my mind.... see, us old folks can still learn a thing or two these days!!! Ah, the good ol' days of 15 cent comics.

Keep On Thwipin'!!!
Sam

I wish we could have 15 cent comics even today. :( Marvel could quadruple ship for all I care and I'd be buying up a storm.

EIGHT 12 cent Marvel comics for a dollar back in the 60's... hell YEAH, those were the days...

Issue 5 full preview:

Slott with more Batman references. And yes Peter, you've discovered the point of Superior! lol.

And Otto gonna jackhammer that midget.

And I just noticed that when Otto is in costume the pages are black and when he's Peter the pages are white.

.... am I missing some subtext here... eight 12 cent comics for a dollar would be an overcharge of 4 cent

...Ms. Marconi is pretty cute...can't get mad at Ock for being entranced by her.

Anyone notice that Ghost Peter isn't in costume when Otto is in costume? Is this a sign that Peter is gaining more control?

no subtext, just reminiscing about comics being 12 cents a book is all... nothing to read into that other than what it is... or rather, what it WAS... ya got a dollar, ya got eight books... simple...
