Comics The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 2

I got extremely behind on my comic book reading and pretty much read from Amazing Spider-Man 696 to Superior Spider-Man # 25 in a span of a week. What an amazing run this has been. I feel exhausted. In a good way. It's going to be great to see how Goblin War plays out. Dan Slott should be given many awards for this!!

I know right? The way he ties everything together is just brilliant. What a great book.

The inker killed the art in this issue... Seriously, WTF happened?
The Bait and Switch made no sense.
The Death had no impact... I didn't care about this character, nor was this character even in that many issues.
This, like the Chapter before it just wasn't interesting.
Here's hoping that the next (and final) issue is good.

Theory time:
Otto willingly gives up being Spider-Man due to what the Goblin is doing. He can't handle the stress or mindgames.

Not a bad theory. I liked this issue though. The stakes are high and there's a feel of doom and gloom hanging over everything like it's going to end badly for some people.

So far, Goblin Nation ain't exactly something new, but I think it really works, and you can feel how outsmarted Otto is. I'm also very glad to see Miguel taking action.

the hero facing certain doom, and those trying to help him being unable to, with nobody being safe? It really reminds me Ben Reilly's last stand, just before we learnt Norman wasn't dead. It was, imo, the same kind of story. Regardless, I really like Goblin Nation so far. Superior has been an amazing (!!) experience.

Oh well, geez...of course that's something seen in most comics. I thought you were referring to a specific Spider-Man story.

I didn't make myself clear enough in my first post. I can't wait to know what will happen to Otto eventually. I hope he doesn't die nor become a villain again.

Ah, I see. No worries.

I have a feeling we may get a role reversal where Ock is stuck in Peter's brain with Pete in control.

that'll work...

For a little bit.

But honestly I hope that doesn't even last long. I'd like to get back to 100% Peter soon after the ASM relaunch. Anything more than 6-9 issues of the 2 guys/1 body might get a little old to me but we'll see....

And it would confuse all the movie fans as well...you know we can't do that at all.../sarcasm (not directed at you just the whole situation and its timing)

I could honestly care less about the movie fans. To be honest, the movies have hurt the comics creatively since day one.

So... the penultimate issue comes out today/tomorrow (Time zones depending).

Did you guys enjoy Superior or not?
Do you think Peter comes back in 30 or 31?

I loved Superior, it added a ton of interesting things to the Spidey mythos and was truly an odyssey for both Peter and Otto- showing us what makes Peter the best and somehow making us root for Ock as well. Spoilers for #30 are online, keep away!!
I thought #30 was the last issue...

#31 comes out April 16th.

Spoilers? Where!?

Just kidding. :oldrazz:

But seriously, where are the spoilers?

Ahh thanks.

It's just so I know to stay away from a site until I read this issue. :P
