Comics The SUPERIOR Spider-Man - Part 2

If it goes monthly, give us back Spectacular, Web of, Sensational and the quarterly Unlimited!

what, no Marvel Team-Up, adjectiveless Spider-Man, Webspinners or Untold Tales?...

oh, I get it, you don't want to seem TOO greedy...

or to make it appear that you're living in Fantasyland... :oldrazz:

:cwink: :woot:

I purposely didn't include Adjectiveless/Peter Parker because he truly did die in 700. This is just fragment/ ghost Peter.
:'(

If the books are monthly, I'd be happy with an Amazing Spider-Man & a Marvel Team-Up...

Along with Superior Foes... arguably one of the BEST books Marvel puts out... definite Top Five...

:yay:

We don't know that, they might do a body revive/brain swappy thingy.

I mean, Ock/Peter's body was missing from the grave. *nudge nudge wink wink*

Ohhh yeah... forgot about that.
But right now what we are getting is a clone of Peter with less memories. And that would suck...

the variant cover to Superior #27...

Hey just like SpOck said "We truly are the sum of our experiences". This Clone that has formed into his brain does not have them all. He says that the ones that he has are the ones that define him but i still dont think he will be the Peter we all know and love. To me this Clone is just another charachter, a Peter with less memories and that does not sound to me like something i want the new status quo to be. I enjoyed that hell out of Superior and i would have liked it to last longer but if it has to end, it has to be with the one,the only Amazing Spider-man.
Now if they do something with Ocks body that will bring the real Peter back im all in.

Here's an idea:

Try waiting for the last few issues of Superior to be released and the story to end before declaring the "real" Peter Parker dead.

They already said that the Ghost Pete isn't the real Pete.
Also, they said that both the Mini and the new Amazing will have a memory loss afflicted Pete.
The Mini will have Pete, with the authors quoted as saying, he will have no memories...

Hey i am not giving Slott crap for his comic. I am just saying that what we have NOW is a clone of Peter with less memories and hopefully that isnt the same Peter that we get back. I will wait just as i waited for every issue to come out so far. I am just deducing what will happen or rather what i hope will not happen...

Despite not reading Superior. Those are two very cool pages. Who drew the bridge shot?

I believe that's Camuncoli... a perfect example of why HE should be Spidey's artist... that is some fine-ass art...

the Spidey/Gobby cover is Mark Brooks, I think...

It's def Camuncoli. Weren't there a few people just complaining about him a page or two back...? Yeah....OK. :whatever:

This guy rocks.

Thanks guys. Haha yeah I don't prefer him but I did say that some of his very recent stuff looks really good due to the colors. I'm sure his pencils look awesome but some of the coloring ruins it.

I also like his Peter Parker. Modern with general taste in clothing. Very similar to how Peter looks in the newest movie.

yeah, by the ones who consider his art too bland and by-the-numbers, no doubt... :o

I did not like his art in issues 4, 5 and 11. But starting with 12 his art was incredible. What they did to those colors... man it looks great.

OK. I KNOW that crack is aimed at me... :cwink:

First of all, that bridge picture is either a splash page or a cover. And, yes, that pic is great! Looks so cool!

What it does NOT show is a face. With the exception of Spidey in the foreground with his back to us, it is basically a background. What it also doesn't show is the scratchy inks usually connected to Camuncoli, which is reminiscent to Sal Buscema's work in the 90's. And, I know it's not a popular opinion, but I didn't care for Sal's work back then.

And, for the record, I don't think I said I disliked Camuncoli's work. It's just I preferred Ramos and Stegman. I think it's the Buscema-style inking that bothers me.

But, yes, that is a very cool shot!

HOLY S**T!... for ONCE, we agree on something... :wow: :woot:

yeah, Sal Buscema's too-long run on Spectacular made my skin crawl...

Sal Buscema was awesome until they paired him up with Bill Sienkiewicz.

I had the same feeling, even MORE so, when it came to Web of Spidey being drawn by Alex Savi-yuk.. for the most part, bad writing and bad art... in general, a completely bad title...

Never was wild about Buscema before then either, but yea, the inking really wasn't my style.

Web didn't bother me as much as Spectacular. Spectacular was my least favorite during the time period, aside from adjective-less which was hit or miss with the artist that put on after McFarlane left.

Aloha,
I completely agree. His work had a lot of sharp lines that I didn't care for but it wasn't Ramos. Look at PP Spectacular #200Those were nicely drawn issues. But when they paired him with BS(no pun intended), it was some of the worst Spider-Man I have read. Almost as bad a Ramos's run on Spectacular.
