Looks great and IMO looks better with the shorter cape, just for that suit though, the regular MOS suit looks best with a long cape.

I would imagine it's more down to the suit's resilience being dependant on the environment in the same way Superman himself is. In a Kryptonian atmosphere, it's vulnerable to damage. Under a yellow sun, it's indestructible.

Thats what I thought. The atmosphere inside the ship was kryptonian, thus superman was made weak. I think his suit was going through the same. Their tech appeared to be organic based, so I assume that included the suit.

yes royal makes sense...so a longer cape is fine with me..
but i dont get why such a cape is mounted to their undergarments....
i think it should be handled like in thor for example...he actually should wear the helmet in battle...which is what they are doing wrong in my oppinion...superman shouldnt wear a cape at all. i know its iconic and without it would be missing something. but just by deffinitions the filmakers chose he should wear an actual suit with attached cape over the undergarments.
or maybe like jor el where he suits up...lets just have the upperbody part be armorlike with an attached cape.

btw: shorter cape appeals more to supergirl i think

Very well done manip. However, Don't care for this look at all, maybe if the cape was left alone and not so short. I understand what you were going for and making it a true comic to live action suit, but never been a fan of that short of a cape.

I don't care for that look. If there is anything from the New 52 I would like to see a yellow or red belt incorporated
