BvS The Superman Suit Thread - Part 3

The best change is the more vibrant blue, and the wrist piping is toned down.

Negative space is a beautiful thing.

The piping on the MOS suit was design to look like the pieces were split in certain areas (like the bracers), but it was really a solid piece with indentations to give that appearance.

The revamp here, whichs add alot negative space, give the suit a cleaner, and much less clunky look.

I like everything about the BvS suit except the size of the 'S' which better in MOS.

I just don't understand why Superman's hair is so tapered down as if a cow's tongue passed through it.

This is amazing! I love being able to see the differences of the two suits so precisely! I really LOVE the BvS Superman suit I mean the color/cut/detailing all are better in my eyes...Bravo again Wilkinson and Snyder! Bravissimo!

Sweet. Wonder if...well doesn't need to happen...but if Superman will have another adjustment to his suit in Justice League？ Maybe an occasional spit S curl would be nice.

Btw...while I love this manip, maybe muscle adjustments should be done. After all, Cavill has gained more muscle since Batman v Superman. Do we know for sure if the blue will look this blue in BvS? If so, I much prefer this blue color to the blue in Man of Steel, which could easily look purple.

I like both suits, but I would have liked to keep the boots the same just the way they were.

Yes. for merchandising even if its a minor improvement. Of course there will be changes.

Me too. but purple? No way!! It was blue with the appearance of steel glints.

Cavil has even more muscle now? He was already really big in man of steel. So the lighter blue is what it is going to look like in batman vs superman? If that is the cause that sucks because man of steel was already like the perfect costume and form the few set photos I didn't noticed a difference at all in the costume.

Well again remember that it's not just about making a suit that looks good but a suit that looks good on camera. Camera's are funny in what they pick up. When you're removed from a year after working on something, you see it with fresh eyes.

If Superman get's another adjustment it will probably be a camera issue.

I've always thought that it would be awesome if the S curl made its debut after Supes is battered, mid battle, just casually and then he charges with more power. Thus every time it happens you'll know there is an upcoming Superman foe beatdown.

I wonder if they'll address the changes to his suit.

Suit is ok. Nothing spectacular (bit unsure of the fingerless gloves/sleeves). Though the art overall isn't that great. Romita Jr's a good artist, but sometimes his art can be pretty ugly. I'll reserve final judgement until I see some other artists tackle the new suit.

Romita JR has his moments. There are some splash pages in the current Superman run that are quite awesome. But yeah, I would have preferred someone like Ivan Reis, or Jim Lee.

Yikes...i mean the suit itself is alight other than the fingerless gloves. But it may look better when drawn by Jim Lee. This image just doesnt do it for me at all!
