Is it weird that the suit excites me so much? I mean that big red S on both versions is what I'd always hoped for. I was so dispointed when Singer made SRs and the S was so small. When I first saw the MOS I was blown away by the S (and the cape). It's amazing how well they updated it, the new comics should be ashamed MOS showed them the way to truly update the costume yet still have it maintain that classic feel.

As to the comics I'm going to semi disagree. When they first started the artists were screwed. The armor line fetish DC heads wanted just didn't work. Look at Supermans suit down the line and the current version(not the T Shirt) and it's much better. A great artist draws the new52 beautifully.

Though personally I love the futures end Superman outfit. It's just the T shirt, cape, beard, and regular pants. It feels more Superman to me. Like it nixes all the BS and makes the symbol and man important. It's like a modern Hercules.....not from Marvel.

I would love if in the JL movie if Superman had to pull out some street clothes and mix and match and save the day.

I do. It's not the muscle suit though, Henry put on 10 pounds more muscle compared to MoS. But anyway, I do think Henry had the perfect physique in MoS.

MOS suit was perfection. There's a sort of ancient quality to it that really makes Superman seem godlike.

And maybe it's because MOS is what really got me into Superman, but the MOS suit doesn't register in mind as being too dark or colourless even if what's technically on screen sometimes is basically as dark as a Batman costume. Apart from a shot in Smallville where the sunshine is awkwardly darkened, for the most part it just seems right to me.

I always thought classic superman outfit is lame even for comic book hero but Cavill's suits looks so majestic. Like something alien royality would wear.

It was a horrible design, kind of weird he went for that. You'd have thought given his love for the Donner film and him wanting to make a (semi-)continuation of that he'd have made a suit similar in appearance to the Christopher Reeve suit but obviously with updated materials.

Those MoS shots just make me angry at the idiot who thought it was a good idea to slick back Superman's hair in BvS. Cavill looks so much more like Superman without the half tub of gel in his do.
