Here's some more . I just hope they've changed the suit again for JL, bring back the better qualities from the MoS.

Maybe they considered what kind of color needed for the costume after color timing.

It looks a lot better in trailers.

I'm sure they'll make changes again in JL. I just hope they change his hair to have the S curl etc. Remember those pics of Henry walking around at comic con with his hair like that? Looked amazing.

I like both suits but won't choose one over the other until I see the BvS suit on film. Sometimes I appreciate the MOS suit more in behind the scenes photos than on screen. It all depends on how it is shot.

I love both, honestly. I like that they made tweaks in the BvS version that didn't completely redesign the suit. Not only because, continuity wise it would make no sense since it is the only suit Clark has, but also because that suit is perfect. A perfect redesign of a timeless classic because IT IS a timeless classic. You know it is if you put that suit in 1938 and it would fit (literally, if you know your Superman publication and in media history). Granted, it does feel "off" when you are looking at the BvS suit so much, then go back to the MOS suit. But that's just me, and that's expected, not a criticism or something like that.

I love both, and even though I do like the New 52 suit they had (still have, IDK), I wish DC would just take this outfit and have their comic Superman wear it. If they have to add some "armor", or change the "S" to their classic design, so be it. But it would be great. Let's see what happens with that "rebirth" from the comics side of things.

In the actual film (MOS) I think the suit looked best in the scene with Superman on the Black Zero when he was talking to Jor El

I do. It's not the muscle suit though, Henry put on 10 pounds more muscle compared to MoS. But anyway, I do think Henry had the perfect physique in MoS.

Even with extra muscle he's no where near as big as the suit is. I'm not even gonna get into the batsuit which is just total overkill. They both look very idealistic and comic book accurate, but also a little silly.

We've spoken a lot about the S shield having been lowered/smaller in BvS and I have just watching the trailer again and noticed something, the S seems to be in different places??
This shot you can see the pattern on his suit has like 3 rows above the S

But then in this shot there is really only one

Maybe his suit gets messed up in his fight with Batman and he gets a new one

^^ I doubt it. It's probably just a minor inconsistency when creating several suits for Cavill.

It's also possible that they maybe changed the positioning of the shield soon after they started production, i.e., the Trinity fighting Doomsday being one of the first few things they shot.

I find the MOS and BvS suits about equal. For a major shift from the classic suit they are not bad at all.

Hair? Cavill looks so beater in the not slicked back look. I'd prefer they go with the hair he had a ComicCon. Softly slicked back - not severly so.

The 'S' - I could go for that. GC did it perfectly. Not too conspicuous but there if you looked.

I think the shadowing around the pipeline collar is throwing your off. It looks the same to me.

I have to agree with Matt on this. If you zoom in you can really see it. I've noticed it in other pics actually.

I wonder if people can't quite reconcile a still image with the needs of production and a video.

I can see why they changed the size of the S. In close up's, a good portion of the S is more visible with the new suit. There's no point in having this huge S if your can't see it in too many shots.

Now the only did we miss is the bottom of the S. You can actually see the same approach with the Batsuit. The Batman is top heavy and visible in close ups.

That makes no sense though. The S is lower on the suit now so really now you see less.

that actually got me thinking. So far it doesn't look like this movie will have as many close up in your face shots as Man of Steel did. Fong has (and I'm very grateful for this)back the camera up and is showing us more of the suit.

Well it's actually closer to five minutes when you add up all the different scenes from each trailer and teaser and extra footage from the CW special.
In those 5 minutes I've seen more of the suit than we got to see in the whole Man of Steel movie.
