Only Uncanny came out today, right? I haven't gotten anything yet so I can review tomorrow. (Chaos you can do what ever you want here related to the X-Men). And good job on tracking down those books. The Astonishing's are all sold out here. If you want to know the third one came out and I'll be sure to keep the next weeks comics posted and up to date.

ok all, day late and a dollar short of buying X-Men:The End, i shall give a review on what i did get.

Uncanny: Big battle time has come people, it's the X-Men versuses the mighty power of The Fury, and what a battle it was. Whats the only thing that can stop everything, the Pheonix, and a BLACK HOLE!!!!! Through Sage's quick thinking they subdued the mighty foe and destroyed most of the Braddock Mansion. But what of the mighty retired Captain Britain, that shall be found out soon enough...

Unlimited: Two action backed, and back assward stories! The mighty Cain Marko has a dream as a new member of the X-men, that dream is to be.... the gym teacher?!?! Through Logan's and Scott's test Cain proves to himself that he can do more than just destroy and that he can take care of those kids. Second story stars the beautiful Emma Frost and ... Logan. Emma is invited to a friends wedding, Emma doesn't want Scott to know so she brings the animal with her. At the cerimony they are met with surprise and fear. Emma is constantly taunted by her peers and Logan gets ambushed by some mutant haters, dont worry he takes care of the rich pricks. There is even a lesson to learn in the end.

how is the End? Ultimate? I'm gonna try and pick up some books this weekend.

the emma and logan at a wedding sounds like a funny scenario. I might have to pick that one up too.

i'm really looking forward to the ultimate issue. i've read the last 2 or 3 of the series.

I've even subscribed to like 4 series cuz there had a deal of 13.50 a yr, but I sent a check like a month ago, and it still hasn't cleared yet. Hope they got it.

I subscribed to Ultimate, Astonishing, Uncanny, and I think the regular X-Men title. (it was that one or excalibur, I dont remember)

I just picked up the new books and it was an okay week. Nothing really bad nothing really good. I would like to say though that I loved the cover to Emma Frost 14. This series has barely been mediocre at best but continue to get it for my "everything X" collection and to fill my pride of knowing as much "X" as possible.

But anyways I like the cover because the the Sting nod. In the reflection of the window the teacher has "Don't Stand So Close To Me" written on the board. This was a Sting song about a teacher/studant affair, and one of my favarate songs of all time. It goes with the storyline so well.

Also, even though Liefield's art is okay, I would just like to go on record and say that it is WONDERFUL seeing Shatterstar back in action! I hope he stays in the mainstream and they just clear up that whole confusing history thing that messed up his character in the first place.

Well, I leave in 6 hours for Wizard World Chicago and I plan on trying to get some X-Men comics but this is mainly a trip to get some DC tpbs. Now I want to start somthing I like to call, WHAT BOOKS ARE X-FANS READING. This is where you post your pull list and tell us why you like each book. Hey no prob Dwarf, I'll do the best I can (while juggling my DTL match, it may not be easy).

My pic list and why (FC =favorate character)

Uncanny X-Men - I collect all things X so just assume that on later X-titles. But here are specifics why I like it. This is the original book that I have every issue but 3 since the dark phoenix saga. I like the team and the current direction of the book. FC - Cannonball

X-men - I'm not a big Austen fan but this title has a lot of great characters that can result in a great book. I'm intrigued by the Xorn mystery. FC - Currently Havoc though Xorn could replace him if he's like he was when Morrison wrote him.

Astonishing X-men - great writing and characterization. Good mix of humor, action, drama, ete. FC - Beast

Excalibur - I love the odd conglamoration of characters and that it's based in Genosha. I also love that Magneto and Xavier are working together. FC - Currently Freakshow but will probably be replaced by Shola as I loved him in Mekanix

New X-Men: Academy X - I love the "next generation" books, like I loved Generation X. I like the characters and like how we are seeing how Scott and Emma run the school. FC - Wither, though Rockslide's growing on me.

Cable and Deadpool - To of my favorate characters mixed with great humor. FC - Deadpool (eh, it was a 50/50 shot)

District X - This is accually just a great book. The writing is wonderful, the characters are real. The last page of issue 2 has got to be one of my favorate endings of a book ever, and it was so simple. FC - Officer Ortega

Emma Frost - I buy this in hopes it will catch up to current continuity. The first arc was good, it's been boring since then. The "all things X" strongly applies here as if it were any other non X title I would have dropped it by now. FC - none (now that's a smack in the face isn't it)

Weapon X- I'm a fan of the underdog and they are all crammed into this title. It was interesting at first because it was weapon X, now I'm stoked to see what characters I'm going to see next. I hate that it's ending. I accually sent a letter to marvel in reguards to my wishing it would run a bit longer so all the threads can be tied up. FC - Agent Zero/Maverick

Rogue/Gambit/Jubilee/Nightcrawler/Madrox/X-force - I'll get them or am getting them to try them out. They are too new to really go on anything yet. I look forward to Madrox the most though.

Exiles - I love the idea of the book and I'm really curious to see where they end up next and to see who the newest Exile will be. FC - Mimic, with Beak a close second

X-Men Unlimited - I like the randomness of the stories as long as they don't just start sucking like they did in the previous Unlimited and as long as they don't saturate it with Wolvie. I'll make an exception for his anniversary month, but no more. FC - N/A.

Ultimate X-Men - Just pretty good story telling and cool characters. I'm currently enjoying seeing where this whole Apocalypse thing will go. FC - Nightcrawler

X-Statix - I'm now bored with this comic. I'm only getting it until it ends. FC - Orphan.

Wolverine - I liked it up until toward the end of his first series. I got behind a bit but got ticked when the restarted it and stopped collecting it. I've only recently started recollecting it with the dream issue. Right now I like the current Native storyline (that I predict has something to do with wolverine's daughter over in NyX but we'll see).

I'll stop there as I can go on forever on other non-X titles and limited series's. This is an X-Men thread so I'll leave it at that. So what do you guys read?

Okay guys here's a question. Best and Worst storylines that were hyped.

Best - It wasn't hyped very much but it played out wonderfully, the fued between Bishop and Fitzroy. It started with Bishop's first appearance and lasted through out several years. It resulted in Bishop the Last X-Man and specifically issues 12-14 "Chronowar" The whole series had a LotR feel to it and it was just amazing all the way to its final page.

Worst - The Twelve. This took years to build to and then it was rushed and thrown together completely disreguarding anything that was build before it.

So what do you guys think.

i liked the promise of the 12 storyline, but when it was over and done with,it felt a little anticlimatic i guess. i felt like it left me unfufilled.

Yeah, I think that if they would have actually killed both Cyclops and Apocalypse at the end it would have all been good. I never really liked the Skrulls and I didn't like the way they found out the 12. They just read it out of a book instead of having Cable gather them like he was suppose to. I felt like it was too big of a storyline for it to just be 6 or so issues. It had good build up but it should have taken a bit longer. Go for a time of Cable gathering the 12 and once the 12 were there perhaps have a war with the Skrulls were the mutants prove to be the more fit of the two races. Then have the final showdown including Apocalypse, Wolverine, Ahab, Caliban, and Deathbird.... and also I would have liked more with Ozymandias, Sinister, and whatever living Dark Riders there were left. They should have tied all loose ends up with the story instead if ignoring most of them.

Best: Hush. It might not have been pulitzer prize material but it was a fun read. I loved seeing Jim Lee draw Batman's Rogues and It was just a cool read. (You never said X)

Worst: Draco. I remember it was hyped but it sucked.

Worst was Onslaught. I liked it as a story but just to have it all undone withing a year. It will be like Avengers Disassembled. Hown many of them are really going to be dead for a long time. Although Colossus isn't back yet, sniff

i just got my copy of astonishing 4 in the mail the other day. I'm sooo excited that i can't wait for # 5 to come out! I HOPE and PRAY that they do this story right and don't make the comeback suck.
