MTV Spider-Man was on... Well... MTV. This is not a children's channel like Disney XD or FOX Kids. I often hear people say "but adults watch spectacular,animated series etc" which is not the case. While MTV Spider-Man was not exactly a show many adults watched it was darker than other cartoons simply because the audience of MTV is much more mixed.

I for one enjoyed the more mature tone. I also thought most of the stories (particularly the Lizard) was pretty good. I liked the animation style too.

For me, this is easily the most underrated adaption of a comic book character on television.

Last Saturday episode of Ultimate Spider-Man does 2.3 million viewers on the Disney channel.

That episode already aired last Saturday night on the Disney channel. The Halloween special. Was actually a really fun thing.

after bailing on it over a year ago, I took a look again at it for a couple of episodes... nothing's changed or improved in MY eyes, so I'm not missing it at all...

It's not that I want this show to fail as that would be ignorant. I just want either two things:
1) Please improve the quality of the show, even the defenders must admit this is geared more towards selling toys than telling a good story
2) Keep everyone happy, have two Spider-Man cartoons

I stopped watching cartoons years ago but if they had a cartoon that had the quality of say BM:TAS then I would occasionlly watch them. Neither this or Avengers Assemble are any good IMO.

even though the current Avengers cartoon isn't up to A:EMH standards, it's still easier to digest than USM...

Not anytime soon. Season 3 is already in production. Show just did huge ratings on the Disney channel. One of the higher rated Disney XD shows. Also helps move merchandise for Marvel/Disney.

I hated the MTV Spiderman show when it originally aired but I gained a new found appreciation for it when I watched it a couple of years ago. Its actually quite good and I wish there were more episodes

oh, because the version I downloaded was only 22 minutes long. Was the episode supposed to be 1 hour long.

I like USM and AA isn't too bad,just somewhat unimpressive. Hulk: AOS on the other hand,is a train wreck that I don't see improving anytime soon.

Shock of shocks, except for Spidey being a yammering idiot (instead of a flippant wisecracker, which IS the character) this was the best thing the series has done. It looked great and had actual twists and turns. I myself would have gone for a different team of specialists (say, Blade, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Werewolf by Night and Brother Voodoo) but the Howlers weren't insufferable and Draculla came of as a real formidable threat. So that's ONE decent story (a 2 parter at that) out of... How many have aired so far?

You only got the first part, it was a two parter that was aired as a one hour special.

22 episodes have actually aired counting the Halloween special. Those were episodes 2x25 and 2x26 in the production order.

I agree. I've seen a few other episodes, but they were mixed bags. This one was actually entertaining from start to finish. I still can't believe the show made the "Giant-Sized" Man-Thing reference.t:

What's the reference?

Man-Thing shows up during the the siege on Dracula's castle. He's able to turn to a giant size form and the caption reads GIANT SIZE Man-Thing in a similar font to the classic GIANT SIZE Marvel Comics.

Saw the episode, and it's fun
And same goes for the Iron Patriot episode, I will admit having a soft spot for the Iron Patriot, it's the concept that truly made me a fan of Norman Osborn

One thing to note about this show; "the best performing underling of S.H.I.E.L.D is the least obedient one"
I hate it when they do this in certain stories

something weird and kinda annoying i noticed. every episode i've seen has peter do that weird monkey screech at some point. i just tried watching the old teen titans show and they do the same thing
