That monkey screech deserves to be nitpicked
Or is it ape? Sounds like a chimp

Well season 2 is now officially over. Wasn't like a game changing, OMG cliffhanger, but more like a tease to setup season 3. Spider-Man and the Avengers.

Now I'm glad Spider-Man fought his fist fights alone in this episode, to save his team
At least they made a solid ending for this season

I liked the conflict setup. For a while Peter was trying to prove he's in the big leagues. Now he's there but he doesn't want to leave this team after having bonded with them.

The development of the  member becoming the best is always funny
I hope he does like Nova and be a member of two teams

I hope they don't delay in releasing episodes for this season, delays are annoying

It's under development by Marvel Animation, no license changing hands
And their movies succeeding financially provides solid source of income, there is a promis of no bankruptcy this time

Welcome back you shadow ninja from Konoha :D

Still waiting for their cancellation. It would be awesome if they released few direct-to-video animated films that weren't related to this series. They have the animation rights, and its Marvel, so why aren't they doing something great with Spider-Man?! I just want to bang my head on the table every time I think about this show being a replacement for Spectacular Spider-Man. Such an embarrassment.

They are it's called Ultimate Spider-Man. The show is already getting a third season. If they want to keep making more they will.

This show wasn't a replacement for Spectacular Spider-Man. The TV rights reverted back to Marvel. Sony owns Spectacular Spider-Man. They couldn't use it anymore. Them's the breaks.

Get over it dude. Was Batman: Brave and The Bold better than B:TAS and TNBA? No it ****ing wasn't! It was still a fun show in its own right. Spectacular Spider-Man wasn't a better show than the 1990's series.

Not everything can be like Spectacular Spider-Man.

You're going to be waiting a long time. Spectacular Spider-Man is never coming back.

Can't you guys basically wish this show improves in quality? Its cancellation won't bring any series you like more in its stead, same team is in charge of the animation and production

Even if it does improve in quality, its still build on the grounds of two seasons of making Spider-Man look like a dumb kid. How much better can it get?

Spider-Man has plenty of dumb moments in this show, and a few episodes he was the worst character in show, that is a fact I won't deny
But he still saved the Hellicarrier, the Lizard, Norman Osborn, caught Green Goblin more than once, he did plenty of good things showing him as one of the superheroes I enjoy the most

Hatred is harsh

Spider-Man has plenty of dumb moments as an adult in the comics. So the show is merely being faithful to the comics.

And then there's that
Dumb moments are relatable

There is a difference between making a stupid mistake and being outright dumb.

"Spider-Man reporting for duty, sir!" SIGH.

After purchasing "Ultimate Spider-Man: Avenging Spider-Man" on DVD, enjoying it, then waiting for the second half of the first season to be released, I have gotten slightly annoyed.

HOWEVER, I looked on eBay last week and Australia have the complete first season! I bought it and it arrived today. Comes in a cool looking metal pack too

Seems to be the only way to get the complete 1st season - it's region 4, so should play on multi-region DVD/blu-ray players

Been reading some of the comments.
Regarding this series, in terms of where I'd rank it as a Spidey show, I'd probably put it either joint 2nd or 3rd

1) Spider-Man: The Animated Series & The Spectacular Spider-Man
2) Spider-Man: The New Animated Series
3) Ultimate Spider-Man

Spider-Man Unlimited was just all kinds of crazy lol

I'm one of the people who likes the wackiness of the show.
Don't get me wrong, I love it when Spidey is taken seriously, but there's only so many times you can do that. On top of the previously mentioned shows, there's the movies for that.

That's why Batman: The Brave and the Bold was so refreshing, it wasn't another "serious" Batman show or movie.

If they do make another Spider-Man show with this animation style (which I personally love by the way), maybe they can have some story arcs or serialized story telling, instead of episodic. Yeah, have the humour too, but don't overdo it.

Just my thoughts on that

The only series that took Spider-Man so seriously was "The New Animated Series" on MTV. Spectacular Spider-Man was colorful and super fun, but the writers took the show seriously in a way that it was very well written and captured the essence of the early comic books quite well.

I agree with you Spidey. This show is doing things different, and I don't have a problem with that. The Brave and the Bold did a lot of things different and had a lot of humor and downright wacky storylines. Doesn't make it a terrible show.

The 90's show was better in terms of writing and story.

Hard to say because the pacing was really bad.
