I still can't get myself to watch this show. I keep trying to give it another chance but I can't sit through an entire episode without skipping through it.

Honestly, everytime I see this show I'm reminded of how much the Avengers have dominated Marvel since the 2012 movie. With this show, instead of it really being about Spidey/Peter Parker it's all about Nick Fury, the Avengers and Shield. Spidey seems to play backseat a lot to these Shield storylines and characters. Granted I haven't seen a lot of this show lately, but last time I watched I wondered what happened to Aunt May,Mary Jane or if Gwen Stacy will be in the show. We really don't see anything too much about Peter's life, romances;etc, etc.

It's like a modern day "Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends."

I know dem feels. With great effort I was able to get through seasons one and two. I did find some enjoyment with a few things but otherwise it was very difficult to stomach. There were multiple episodes where I had to stop watching and take a break before coming back to it.

You may ask yourself why would I put myself through that. Well, if I'm going to give a review on something, good or bad, I'd prefer to be as educated on the matter as possible. I've heard that season 3 is an improvement over the first two seasons however I randomly watched a couple from that season and I saw no improvement. Same ol' garbage.

I saw your review of the first 8 episodes or so of season 2, did you review the rest? I'm interested in seeing them, and your grade for the entirety of seasons 1 & 2.

Oops. Sorry, Aziz, I missed this post. Yeah, yeah, I know. I've been procrastinating writing the reviews on the remainder mostly because it's a lot of bad stuff to write. I dislike when I sound so negative. Maybe I'll just write up the positive stuff. That would take less time too.

Understandable, and thanks in advance. :)

It is cool, for people who like it.
It's all a matter of opinion in regards to the show's quality. But however way you put it, the show is a "dumbed down" children's cartoon and Spider-Man isn't being taken very seriously.

Lol. And in all honesty I have no issue with people enjoying the show for what it is. But Disney could and should be taking Spider-Man more seriously.

He's like the Ninja Turtles or Transformers, taking him less seriously shouldn't be an issue.

he's saying that just like the Ninja Turtles and Transformers, USM is for kids and shouldn't be taken seriously...

Well see that's the thing: TSSM was technically "for kids" and could be taken seriously.

true, but there's an OBVIOUS difference between TSSM and USM... USM is obviously for an extremely younger audience below the 12 year old mentality...

Yeah but that's why I was saying that Disney should do something with animated Spider-Man that can be taken more seriously. Heck, they can keep USM going in the meantime while they put out direct-to-video movies that are unrelated.

they won't... as evidenced by all the current and lesser Marvel animateds, as opposed to years past...

As long as Spider-Man exists, there will always be Spider-Man cartoons. Eventually USM will come to an end like all other shows and Marvel/Disney will do something new. Unless USM ends up being like The Simpsons and runs for the next 20+ years.
