The only series that took Spider-Man so seriously was "The New Animated Series" on MTV. Spectacular Spider-Man was colorful and super fun, but the writers took the show seriously in a way that it was very well written and captured the essence of the early comic books quite well.

Agreed.

So is Season 3 starting early or mid-2014?

Only Disney XD knows, since there hasn't been any news articles about Ultimate Spider-Man lately.

Any news on USM being cancelled yet? No? Okay, I'm leaving.

I would be satisfied if we were at least getting a continuation of TSSM in comic book form. How about any of you guys?

I've been re-watching it on Netflix. Having lots of fun.

I can't watch a single episode without skipping through it entirely.

No. The show had its time. Its over. Lots of good shows end prematurely without ever resolving the dangling plot points.

I can't watch a single episode PERIOD...

and ever since the sixth episode from the first season, I DON'T...

I'm not missin' much... :o

The act is getting obnoxious Picard Sisko. The show was already renewed for a third season. It's not getting cancelled yet.

The act is getting obnoxious? What? :whatever:

Yes, lots of good shows do end prematurely with cliff hangers, and it sucks. If you think the show is good and don't wan't to see a conclusion, even with a different format, then that's something I don't understand. It would be an opportunity to finish a series that just about every Spider-Man fan really loves, and you would prefer that it stays dead completely?

Whenever there is activity here, you come in to post about the show getting cancelled. It's ****ing stupid. The show isn't cancelled dude. The show is successful and it's getting a whole other season. It's ridiculous that you cannot comprehend this. Also if the show were to ever end, I'm pretty sure you will know about it if that were to happen.

Marvel doesn't even own the show. Sony does. So there's no point in continuing it anymore. The guys who worked on the show have already moved on to other projects. They aren't going to continue it. The time of Spectacular Spider-Man is long gone. Lots of other good Spider-Man stories out there. Time to move on with life.

I'm aware of the fact that the show is long gone and that there is no chance of it ever continuing in any way, shape or form. My idea was hypothetical: all fans of the show would like to see it continue.

Instead we have an awful show as a replacement that turns your brain into mush. You seem to like USM a lot, so wouldn't you be upset if it suddenly ended with no conclusion and replaced with a show you hate?

I'm upset for about five minutes. I absorb it, and I move on with life.

I can't spend the next several years whining about Thundercats getting cancelled and replaced by Legends of Chima. I watch other shows I like instead.

Ripper Street just got cancelled by the BBC and it's being replaced with some celeb-reality show. What am I supposed to do? Start an online petition? It's beyond my control. Not going to cry about it. It's not worth the energy.

I'm happy now that Marvel and Disney are supporting the shows that are on now. Which is more than I can say for CN and DC.

Its not like I live my life crying about TSSM being cancelled. But as long as I'm a Spider-Man fan, I'll always be disappointed about it, and honestly USM is a real piece of garbage.

Star Trek Nemesis is a piece of garbage.

:lmao: Is that supposed to be your revenge? I actually hate Star Trek: Nemesis myself. Though Insurrection and The Final Frontier are worse.

How is this even relevant to the conversation?

There are no news on season 3, yet

please guy, don't get my hopes up like that with talk of cancellation...
It's still in the hands of the same people, cancellation of that show won't bring a show you'd like more in its place

No. The show had its time. Its over. Lots of good shows end prematurely without ever resolving the dangling plot points.
Like two more comic book shows I want to see continued, and their end was recent, or maybe just one show
I would still like to see continuation of Young Justice

Good words

Every franchise has its low points
Is what he means

And he wants people to accept change in these franchises, or if not accept it, leave it, and think 'ok', then move on

I'd like to point out that that's fiction, in case any of you thought it was true.
