went to see john carter, not bad.

Anyone play that I Am Alive game yet? Played the demo, seems pretty good for 1200 MS Points.

**** that Kony video. As if I got 30 minutes watching that ****.

It's not the 30 mins, it's the fact that apparently it's the "in thing" to talk about this shi* (which have been going on forever) because some white guy made a video about it. F*** that.

Yeah honestly. **** is ****ed up in Africa, no ****. I watched Black Hawk Down.

Yeah... because it's totally not worth your time to save the universe if it's brought to you by a hipster.

I mean... I cared about Africa when it wasn't cool.

What exactly is the end goal here? People will probably give like 10 bucks and around $3 of that might make its way to children. Sure, overall it will do some marginal good, but then the problem will be swept back under the rug until next month when, I don't know, either India or Japan sunami relief comes back in style. Either way, someone is going to make a buttload of money off that FB video and it won't be child soldiers in Africa.

Oh, and I came in here to say how much I've enjoyed Swamp Thing and Animal Man but you guys have thoroughly bummed me out. Thanks for that.

I think the main point is, we already know Africa is ****ed up. This isn't new information. However, a viral video and posting some flyers isn't going to change that. Of the millions of people who linked to the video on Facebook, Twitter etc how many of them are actually going to donate their time, money or resources to actually do something about it? Creating awareness is great. Creating awareness and feigning outrage waiting for someone else to do something about it is disingenuous.

Plus, this particular issue is already old news. Apparently stats are down like 80% in . . .

You know. No. **** it. I'm not getting into that. Someone talk to me about comics right ****ing now or I'm gonna lose it. Jakc Hawksmoor: Super cool guy. AmmIright?

Helping doesn't suck. I maybe wrong but where in that video did they present a plan? Where can I donate? Where do I sign up for the trip to Uganda? What am I supposed to do to help?

The one you didn't watch? It's at the end.

I'm just saying, signing a pledge and getting a bracelet isn't going to change anything. And again, like Womp said, I wouldn't trust these people with my money.

Anyway, is Animal Man still awesome?

It is very awesome. It's coming to a sweet crescendo of a Swamp Thing crossover. The best part is, it's still not clear as to what that relationship will be like. The avatar of the Red (Socks, Buddy's daughter's talking cat) is telling Buddy to go to LA to find Alec Holland, and meanwhile the Parliament of the Trees is telling Swamp Thing that the Red is as big of a threat as the Rot (in so many words). I'm really digging it.

Swamp Thing vs Cat.

It's kinda funny, earlier in the week I was watching Machine Gun Preacher which was a biopic on a trailer park guy who went to Sudan and tried to take down the LRA. It's a good movie overall and it kinda relates to Kony.

I need to start buying both series again, though I didn't really like Swamp Thing.

Oh, and actually killing this Kony guy is something I can get behind. Twittering about him isn't.

It was a really good time for both of us :)

I love seeing my girlfriend so happy like she was last night

went to see john carter, not bad.
