I think my favorite part about it was that Superman, at no point, forgot that he knew how to fly.

It would be great if we could get a JLA show with that style of animation in lieu of the blocky GL type. Whereas it is interesting to see a 3D version of Timm-style, even Clone Wars' style looks superior and more detailed than GL's. And honestly, I want to see some damn creative constructs from a lantern instead of beams, bubbles, blocks, and lazers.

Cool video. I didn't mind the Reeve face in that context for the animator to have something to base it on, rather than the hundreds of different artistic interpretations out there, but a pet peeve of mine has always been the greased and impossibly well combed hair. I've always been a fan of the way Byrne and Lee draw his hair windswept but still falling into an S shape. The look of slicked down hair that live action Supermen use always makes me imagine a moment when he's called into action and needs to save people right now! ...But give him a second, he has to style his hair first.

Routh's look was the worst for it, with the ridiculous curl they gave him.

I agree but the thing is that's like every heroes hair. Lee does do the best Superman hair though.

I ask myself the same question because I don't remember any hype surrounding the release of the books that came anywhere close to Twilight or Harry Potter.

Well the movie and cast look a million times better than twilight, so I don't view the buzz as a bad thing. I know nothing of the books though.

That's the thing. I frequent bookstores (the ones that have gone under yet) and usually take a look at the New Arrivals and Best Sellers displays before making a beeline to the Sci-Fi or Graphic Novels section.

I don't ever recall seeing this particular title as a highlighted feature.

Maybe it was buried under tons of Avenger movie "must buys" like Iron Man, Capt. America or Thor stuff.

i remember there being a stand for it at the books a million i would visit some time back.

The train fight in that movie is insanely awesome. Best movie fight scene I've seen in years!

After seeing Gantz Abridged I'm always dissapointed that in the actual show the orb isn't a sarcastic dbag who speaks like Stephen Hawking and Kato isn't the worlds most violent pacifist
