Maybe with the success TWD is having Kirkman can get an Invicible project off the ground. Be it live action or cgi, movie or tv show. I just wanna see something, I love that book as much as TWD.

I've never read Invincible but I've always wanted to look into it. I read the first few issues of Kirkman's Haunt and thought that was decent.

Never read Haunt but Invincible is great. I know some libraries carry trades so you could see if yours has any Invincible trades to try it out.

So for people who have kept up on the comics, how is the series after the Governor/Prison arc? That seems to be the stuff people talk about most, so I was curious as to how the comic stacks up after that arc is done. No spoilers or anything, but I was just wondering if the comic keeps up the same quality.

It's still great, but there's been nothing quite as iconic as The Governor and the prison yet. But things have been building up recently.

Is anybody worried they might switch Dayrl for Tyreese as the Governor's sacrifice outside the Prison? I was thinking about it earlier, and Daryl fills a similar role to Tyreese in the comic. They're both the tough guy/muscle aspect of the group. Now, yes, they're still very different, but I could see it happening. If anyone was going to sit there and let there head get cut off without saying a word it would be Daryl. I hope it's not him, because I love his character, but I'm worried about it.

I loved it. We get a great character study of Rick/Carl afterwards for a few issues. Then it picks up with a sick little arc, the series is a lot about trust after the prison. S4 could be very interesting, especially with the Abraham/Eugene crew -> traveling to DC...

That's good to hear. I'm really interested in how Rick develops over the TV series. Comic Rick gets very intense, and does some things I'd consider "Shane-like" at times. I'm interested to see if they're going to push TV Rick in that direction.

I'd be upset, but I suspect the same. Michael Rooker confirmed he'd be back next season, so I'd be more comfortable with it if Daryl were to get closure with Merle first.

The stuff after the prison is terrific. Not as iconic as The Governer or the prison as said, but it's true quality in its own way. In my opinion, it just keeps getting better. The more we know Rick, the more compelling the series becomes.

I was thinking T-Dog. I mean hey, if they need a black guy... but nah, seriously, I don't think Tyreese is going to show up at this point. But it's possible. I do need to stop making paralells to the comic and show like the Tyreese/T-Dog thing. They're two completely different type of characters.

If Daryl goes like Tyreese did, people are gonna be horrified/shocked/pissed all at once.

But that's what TWD is about. Anyone can go and it pulls no punches.

So far, the show has done a pretty good job at that with shocking people.

Man, I really can't wait to see what they do, given the material in this whole Prison/Governer arc and how much they stay true to it. And if they don't, how shockigng it still could be for people. Including myself, which it has been doing so far.

Part of the joy of watching this show is observing the people who haven't read the comic. They're in for a hell of a lot this season and I can't wait to see how they react to this. Same with myself and how they do everything.

I don't see why they wouldn't. It's a great shocker moment. And in terms of sfx, it's not like they'd have to give him some full-blown Lieutenant Dan treatment. Just keep the hand out of frame when they don't feel the need to cgi it out, but when it's necessary, slip a green sock over it. I say they go for it.

I mean if it's just there for the sake of shock, I'd be cool. And it does say that nobody is safe in this series and it will set the tone for whatever comes next in the season.

But zanos brings up a good point. Will Lincoln want to wear a green sock over his hand for the rest of this series? Will the people keep wanting to digitally remove that thing in every shot?

Or are these petty questions that really don't make that much of an inconvenience for all when making this series?

Things I want to see from the prison arc

Thomas decapitating people, The zombie heads in Jars and the cage death matches, the tank, Tyreese and Axel, Rick's axe, the epic battle between Tyreese and the zombies, T-dog doing something, Hershel being awesome, the women killing zombies for once, Carol's suicide and Merle and Daryl fist fight and settle there problems, and having only 6 or 7 people survive the over all arc.

I also want Gabe, Bruce, Alice, Stevens, Bob, Martinez and the rest of the Governor's group to be characters with personalities and sympathetic(not all but like Alice and Stevens) not just nameless thugs so you care or cheer when they die

Ever since the shake up after Darabont left, I imagine there was many rewrites/changes in season 2. Now that the dust is settled and the new showrunner really wants to stay closely to the comic I can see Season 3 be the best season so far.
