Maybe Melisandre will bring him back. I think she showed up in Alexandria right before he got eaten.

No matter how it's resolved, people will call ********.

Lawd TWD fans can be hard to please.

If this is how Glenn dies, then it's how he dies. His death isn't anywhere near as dumb as Beth's or Tyreese's. Now, THOSE deaths were dumb.

Glenn didn't do anything stupid, and there's a really gut-wrenching tragedy to his possible demise, which makes last night's episode super-effective for me. Glenn giving Nicholas another chance ultimately led to this, and he doesn't get the heroic death he deserves. Does it suck? Yes. Is it not fair? Yes. That's the point, though. Sometimes, s*** happens ... Especially in the apocalypse.

If Glenn makes it out alive, that's awesome (and it adds more to Glenn's "underdog" nature). However, if he survives this, then [blackout]I don't want him to suffer his fate from the comics; another character should. I just think that would be too predictable if they kept Glenn alive just to have him die by the hands of Negan.[/blackout]

It would be predictable for those who have read the comics, but the vast majority of the viewership hasn't, so it would still come as a shock to them.

Well when you do a **** job of (maybe) killing of a core character who was there from the start, you are going to get people complaining.

If they killed him by slipping on a banana peel and falling onto a sharp piece of rock would you still accept that as a good way to write him off?

[BLACKOUT]True, but I know that some of the writers for the show and Robert Kirkman have expressed how they like to change things up a bit to make it a surprise for everyone (even fans of the comic). Personal preference, but I would like it if they continued that.[/BLACKOUT]

So, I haven't noticed many people talk about this, but ...

Has Rick been bitten? He definitely injured one of his hands. Maybe this is a way to incorporate him losing his hand finally (which was in the comics)? I know Kirkman said he regretted doing that in the comics, which is why Rick didn't lose his hand in the Season 4 mid-finale ... But maybe he was tricking people so he could save that moment for another time? It's pretty safe to assume that Rick won't be dying right now, and his hand injury could be nothing, but I can't help but speculate a bit!

I'd be fine if it wasn't Glenn as well, but it needs to be someone who the audience is heavily invested in, because that's why that scene worked so well in the first place and it would give us a really good reason to hate Negan. Personally, if anyone has to take his place, I say it should be Daryl.

That could very well be true. I brought that up with my brother and he said "No. He just scratched it on a knife," or something to that effect.

If there's ever a time for Daryl to go, THAT would be the moment, in my opinion. I think it will either be him or Morgan.

Hm ... Maybe once Rick gets back to Alexandria (however he gets back, that is), then people there will think he was bit? Either way, it's going to be one heck of a s*** show once Rick gets back. I doubt the remaining Alexandrians will be happy to see him.

I don't remember seeing anything happen to his hand specifically but given the running around and the situation it wouldn't surprise me if he had cut it on something somewhere along the way.

It's easy enough when you're stabbing zombies with knives or trying to run and trip or slip or stumble and jab your hand into a sharp object, not necessarily a bite.

I'm fairly certain Rick cut it killing a walker, it's a common stabbing injury when your hand gets too slick with blood. If he was bit he would have cut it off right away.

What an episode. All I'll say is that they seem to be following the comics so far. Not everything is as it seems.

Rick will NEVER die, unless it's the series finale or something, never ever ever gonna happen.

Rick injured his hand when he ran into that zombie trio eating that poor guy on the highway. There was one zombie in particular with a machete stabbed through it's back and sticking out it's chest. Rick cut his hand on the blade when he was grappling with the zombie. Thinking back now, that blade has to be covered in all sorts of nasty filth, I think Rick is going to become sick and may or may not [BLACKOUT]lose that hand.[/BLACKOUT]

I'd have to rewatch the scene but that does make sense. Even ignoring zombie rot he could have picked up some nasty stuff from that blade.

I don't think the hand thing is going to have any repercussions whatsoever, he just cut his head, it's bleeding, it just added an extra difficulty to his situation. (and yes, I do know what happened in the comics, but this deviates constantly)

I'm assuming the entrails being shown are Nicholas's, but with the hoard of walkers, I can't imagine Glenn making it out alive unless there's someone else there to create a diversion before the zombies get to him.

On the flip side, though, Glenn and Nicholas DID start to fall sideways, so maybe Nicholas wasn't on top of him and those guts really are Glenn's?

So the actor of Glenn has been caught on set filming with characters that have not been introduced to the show yet. We'll see how that plays out ...
According to Spoiling Dead on facebook, who take set pics, Glenn's been on set filming not only with Jesus but even in locations which are hard for them to get photos. So I don't think this about faking out people who follow spoilers, to make them think he's alive when he's not. I think only a small majority follows spoilers and set photos online lol.

It's going to be interesting to see the follow up to this.

He definitely was not bitten, but he cut his hand.

Based on recent set photos, he doesn't lose his hand.

Like squeekness said, if he had been bitten, I could see him getting rid of his own hand lol. Don't think he'd hesitate.

Episode's got me devastated. There's no way Glenn should survive that. If he was meant to live through the episode they should've left him on top of the dumpster. I don't see a means of escape even if the walkers were, in fact, eating Nicholas. But a part of me still hopes Glenn is alive. Nicholas really breaking down as all the walkers closed in on them, sounds muffled but certain sounds enhanced like the zombie's teeth clashing, then Nicholas thanking Glenn, and the look on Glenn's face as blood splatters all over him. Really great visuals there. I'm not sure about an episode all about Morgan, especially seeing how he is now. I would've looked forward to it a few weeks ago but not now. But everything else has been good so I'll wait and see.

Of course I've never understood how it is that a bite will turn you but being covered in zombie blood is okay, lol. :p

That is exactly what I was saying. He wasn't bitten but more likely cut it on something. Why do people seem to think I said otherwise?

I didn't think you said otherwise. :)

I'm surprised at the amount of people who do think he was bitten though, on facebook and twitter lol.

It's just something about the bites cause you to develop a fever that kills you. Who knows what exactly it is lol.

It's the fever that sets in and kills you after the bite.

It almost makes sense except as some have pointed out he would still be exposed and still vulnerable to getting bitten anyways.

We'll have to wait at least a week to find out the truth though and maybe two weeks if next week is Morgan centric.

I can see that possibly working if it was someone as big as Otis that Glenn was underneath instead of Nicholas, but who knows.

You're both right, I just think that's how they'll get around Glen not being dead.
