"Gotham City Noir" RPG Application
Screenname: Apprentice
Gothamite you would like to portray: Dr. Victor Fries
Class of society: Rule breaker
Resume: Victor Fries is a world-renowned doctor subsidised by Wayne Enterprises. When his wife, Nora, fell ill with an unknown disease that ravaged her body, Fries cryogenically froze her in order to both subdue her illness and preserve her body. This garnered a lot of attention and he is currently working with a host of medics to produce the necessary antibodies and identify the pathogen.
Factoids of interest: He is a world-renowned doctor and scientist, as well as the only man to have perfected the process of cryogenic freezing.
Known associates: Lucius Fox, Assorted Medics (including Thomas Elliot)
Three integral reasons behind choosing the character:
1. Any time that Fries has been mentioned before, everyone has discounted him as being too unrealistic for the theme of this RPG. I have planned everything out, and hopefully risen to this challenge.
2. I'm looking forward to developing Fries and explaining his transformation from famous doctor to embittered villain.
3. When Fries was depicted in the movies before, it wasn't done too well in my eyes. I'm hoping to show what I think would work best for a movie version of him.
Please provide a brief explaination behind your character's motivations: Fries' motivations can be summed up in a single word: Nora. Everything and anything he does is to restore his wife to the woman he knew and loved.
File Headshot:
Please provide a small sample post, in the format you plan to portray this identity, with three paragraphs at minimum:
"So, does anyone have any further questions?"
Doctor Victor Fries presented the congregated member of the press with a warm smile that ccompanied the enquiry, before glancing back at the chamber that held his comatose wife. A mass of wiring had been sloppily strapped back around the sides for the conference, allowing a clear view at the beautiful young woman; even though her skin was pallid and her eyes were firmly closed, Victor still believed that she was the prettiest person he had ever had the privilege of meeting. He returned his attention to the throng of eager reporters, his gaze roaming across the mass of raised arms. He noted a smaller hand vying for his attention, and caught a glimpse of a brunette attired in a light pink frock. Nora
adored pink. Victor directed a single digit at her and called out, acknowledging his acceptance of her question. She stepped forward, evidently surprised by his choice and satisfied that she had not been drowned out by those around her.
"Samantha Wright, Globe Information Network," she began.
"Would you mind going over the basics of this chamber again, Doctor?"
