The Winter Soldier The Winter Soldier Thread

I found this GIF between Batman and Bane in TDKR and we can do a little comparison:

Batman fights like a geriatric boxer.

hahahah .although i am a big batman fan
i must admit the fighting in nolan trilogy is quite bad!.
the fight in TWS blows nolan's batman film away, fighting wise

ok i dont wanna start a war here!!. haha
i am a big nolan fan too, it is just that the fight scene are really not well done!

Sebastian Stan interview The First Avenger & The Winter Soldier

Love watching his interviews and interesting to watch the ones for TFA and the ones for TWS.... still kind of bummed he didn't do the talk show circuit before the movie came out

And (warning: fangirl moment ahead)... I just realized Sebastian has the type of hair that I would :hrt:LOVE:hrt: to run my fingers through :sus :oldrazz:

CA2's fight scenes are definitely more intense and shot in higher quality.

Nolan and Snyder should take notes on how to shoot hand-to-hand combat.

look at the speed, amazing

That scene was so beautifully choreographed and performed that it's a marvel to watch. They are both so graceful and swift. Chris said that the fights were like dancing: once he had the moves down it became effortless. You can see that in all of the fight sequences. And unlike so many action films, none of the movements seemed forced, unnatural or "scripted." It all seemed to be so natural and smooth that while watching you could forget about how they did it and simply enjoy the spectacle.

Even though that knife flip and one of the pics above is of Sebastian Stans stunt double - I think SS did an AMAZING job as Bucky both physically and emotionally.

Id love to see him as a darker, more brutal Cap somewhere down the line if Evans leaves - Id much rather that than Marvel recasting Rogers.

I'm fairly sure that Sebastian is in both of those pictures. He learned those knife moves himself and perfected them through constant practice.

Chris Evans' Captain America is already quite brutal. He literally beat people to a pulp and in one fight you could hear him cracking bones (Bucky's, I think.) He strode through that film and kicked every ass in sight. That's exactly what I wanted to see.

Ugh... that scene broke my heart, just him trying to get Bucky to drop the chip, and though he doesn't want to he has to do what he can to get it and just cracks his arm, and Bucky's cry of pain and then having to choke him into unconsciousness :(

one thing really bothers me.

someone help me out.

remember bucky was opening fire at steve when steve is trying to insert the "cartridge" for fury to take control of the 3 helicarrier?

why didn't bucky get nearer to steve to stop him from doing so?

1. is bucky injured in his legs?

2. or is bucky slowly regain his memories of who he is?

You mean at the very end right before Cap succeeds in getting the chip inserted?

Bucky's legs were fine, his right arm (the non-metal arm), however, was broken or dislocated by Cap when Cap was trying to get him to drop the chip. It would've been pretty difficult for him to climb up and follow so really all he could do was shoot at him from down below

Yup man, i am refering to the part before steve insert the final chip into the helicarrier.

hmmm. he still got his metal arm, which is very strong. yet he stood below, just shooting at steve. i really though he stood stationery because he was starting to remember stuff from the past. hahahhah

Climbing would have taken longer than shooting, even with a mechanical arm. Steve only needed a second to put the chip in. Considering he shot Steve several times and then proceeded to bash his beautiful unresisting face in I'd say Bucky's memories were still a blank. He might not have still remembered when he pulled Steve out of the water, but did it because he didn't understand why Steve had stopped fighting. We don't know what or how much he remembers at The Smithsonian. He knows his name since Steve told him.

are we really going to compare TDKR human level fight to Ca:TWS Supersoldier level fight
as for me I think they both gifs shows how the fight scenes are very well tackled as per the characters strength and ability .

It is very strong, but (given the way he was holding his right arm against his body when firing with his left) there is only so much one strong arm can do when trying to climb a structure (that really isn't made for climbing - I mean, look at some of the acrobatic moves Cap had to do in order to get back up to the console/alot was relying on his upper body strength) when your other arm may be pretty much useless/has no strength to it due to the injury.

thanks for all the explainations guys!

it makes totally sense now :)

I don't think its blasphemous at all to compare Cap and Batman. Both are supposed to be at the peak level of the human body's potential (Cap may be a bit enhanced, but not by much), and Batman is supposed to be one of the best hand to hand fighters in the world.

It'll be interesting to see what the Russos do with the Winter Soldier in Cap 3. IMO, he worked best as a mysterious, lethal killer. Now the mystery and shock factor is gone, and I highly doubt he will be a killing machine without H.Y.D.R.A controlling him.

It's gonna be nigh impossible to top what they did in TWS for Bucky.

I'm not judging the speed, Cap and Bucky would be faster however I don't think one hit looks like it landed in TDKR. Every kick that Catwoman made was about a foot away from the actor. It is very noticeable IMO.

gonna agree with you,
even in the ed brubaker cap run. winter soldier was always in the shadow.
being mysterious and basically you can't find him.
once he regain his memory, he work closely with nick fury!
