The Parasite's eyes shifted with anxiety. He dropped the Terminator onto the floor, letting him land on his feet. Even though he didn't require oxygen any more, Rudy found himself breathing heavily by reflex, just trying to assemble his thoughts properly. "I-I'm sorry Wilson. And I mean that. Apologies don't come easy from me, but this is a special occasion."
A chair materialized from the ambient matter of the Unity's ship. Rudy slumped backward into it.
"The cobwebs have finally been completely removed. Ya remember a couple years back when you, me, Luthor, Sinestro, Joker, and a few other guys were on the Injustice Society?" Rudy leaned forward, towards Slade for emphasis. "Lex and Sinestro screwed us all. They found evidence of the Unity's existance on the other side of the galaxy during our little war back then. They knew about Unity, but they didn't tell us, their teammates, about their discovery. Instead, they kept watch of it and collected info in secret, discovering that it could resurrect dead tissue, essentially bringing dead crap back to life. They were probably trying to come up with some way to harness it and use it to rule the world, or some bulls**t like that." The Parasite gritted his razor-sharp teeth in anger. "Luthor and Sinestro knew all about the Unity, but left you, me, Joker, Prometheus, Zoom, Boomerang, Faust, and Amazo in the dark. Of course, even after draining Lex consistantly for a few months, I still didn't know about it because of the effects of his mindwipe, courtesy of Hal Jordan." Rudy clenched his fist hard enough to crack his knuckles quite loudly. "Things could have been so different if they had told any of us about the Unity's Coming. Sure, things seem simply orgasmic right now; my powers were upgraded and you got your daughter back, but the fact remains that those two bastards betrayed our Society in not telling any of us about Unity and this apocolypse."
The Parasite's eyes glowed red.
"And they're gonna die for that betrayal."
