I just laugh at the thought of some newbie coming in with their eye on picking up Dinah, the Parasite, Aquaman, or a number of others, and being totally screwed because of how much further they've been developed in here rather than the comics. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Exactly. And it is going to be even more of a hassle after I get my Season VI stuff going. You've all seen my preview picture.

Honestly, I think the application should be majorly simplified, whittled down to the player's name, character they chose, run-down of plans and intent and a sample post. Everything else is really unnecessary.

Exactly. Besides, there's no point in removing that part of the application on the basis of it being a waste of time, when the alternative is getting your fellow RPers to go to wikipedia anyway.

I wouldn't be opposed at all to that part being removed, but "powers and brief bio" is actually kind of important for other players to know the background of your character.

Actually, I think we should leave it out. I mean, if you're applying for the character in question it's a given you know their powers and bio. The gutcheck will come in the sample post where it shows how much you know....like when I applyed for Connor Hawke...
