William MacIntrvly, was given his powers in a freak accident that gave him control over the elelctromagnetic spectrum which allows him to hear or see TV or radio signals, control over metal, flight, force-feilds and near invulnreiblity.
Back in the early days of the JLA, Triumph was one of the founders of the Justice League however after he saved the world from a grave threat he was put into limbo and the world forgot him. Ten years later, he returned shocked to find out no one remembered him and decided to join the Justice League Task Force however shortly after Jónn Jonzz fired him from the team he made a pact with the demon Neron, only to lose his powers. Contacted by the fifth dimensonal imp- Lypx he soon regained them and attacked the JLA Watchtower but was defeated by Superman and Steel and frozen by the Spectre he was kept inside it. It was soon however destroyed and the former hero used his powers to fly towards Earth, only to lose them once again; now Triumph has spent the past three years without a job and without gain as the forgotten hero of the world.

An intresting take on a forgotten and intresting character and hopefully a welcomed new villain addition to this RPG.

I used to be one of the best, but they denied it to me. They all did. Billy Mac thought to himself as he sat on a lonely bar in the outskirts of the city of Metropolis, this was the location where he had spent most of his days for the past three years. After escaping by the skin of his teeth from the moon he had used up all his remaining power getting back there, that stupid little imp had failed him and was now dead. So too was his revenge.
"Can I get another glass of Jack?"
'Eight dollars."
Billy reached out to his back pocket and got out a his last ten dollars giving it to the bartender who gave him two dollars back. And with that he drank another glass of the harsh fire of the whiskey, he had nearly five for the past year everyday. Needles to say, his liver was not pleased, neither was the bar keep or the regulars who spent their days there. Sitting their quietly, Billy was on his fourth glass of Mr.Daniels one more and it would be back to the old tales of his former glory and eventual end to his carear. He looked over the television and saw the current Justice League all fighting the world´s heroes; Superman, Wonder Woman,Green Lantern, Flash all of them and there Billy said quietly to himself;
"That should be me...."
And without hesitation he chugged down the remaining parts of his drink in one gulp the alchol send shiffers down his body that was now beaten by his drinking. All the regulars looked towards him wondering what he was going to do now, and he pushed the glass forward to the bar keep.
"One more."
"Ten dollars!"
"But it was eight just two seconds ago......"
"Ten dollars."
Billy sighed and put his hands on his face; "Look man, I´ve got no cash on me. Can´t you just put that on my tab?"
"You haven´t paid your tab in over six months, you still owe me seventy for all the times I´ve given you some free beers and scocth. Come on Billy, pay up!"
"But I don´t have the money."
"Fine, then get out. I´ve been too laid back with you and that ends now, pay up right now or get out till you get that money!"
"Yeah Billy, why don´t you use your powers or Super hero buddies to help you out!" There was laughter around the bar, they had been waiting to say that for a while now.
"**** YOU, TERRECE!" Billy grabbed a near by beer bottle and broke it and rushed over to the man who had just mocked him, but he was now very drunk and his balance was gone and as soon as he had left his chair he tripped up and fell on the floor. The bar rawed with laughter.
"Right that´s it Billy!" The bar keep got out of his table and walked over grabbing Billy Mac by the shoulders. "Let go of me! I used to be Triumph, I could have vaporised this whole bar if I wanted to!" the bar keep chucked him out the door and into the streets; Billy´s head knocked over a street curb. 'Why would the Justice League ever accept a ******* like you!" the bar keep said. Billy was now angry but his words came up mumbling.
"You´ll bee sorry! Yoou pricks! I swear, you will! I´ll get my powers back! I´ll be special again....I´ll...."
"Shut up!" one of the regulars said shutting the door as Billy crawled to a hallway trying to finish his sentance.
"....I´ll.........I´ll be a hero again....."

hey everybody I was wondering if I can get a brief rundown on what is going on with Batman and Gotham in general? I'm thinking of taking up a Batman villain but it really seemed all over the place last time I was playing here: Bruce leading the League of Shadows and multiple Batmen running around. I have a general plot in mind but I don't wanna start fleshing it out until I get a better grip on whats goin down.

[FONT="]Long ago, when the rogue Manhunters rampaged through Space Sector 666, Atrocitus was one of only five beings in the entire sector to escape death. He and the other four survivors formed a terrorist cabal known as the Five Inversions, bent on the destruction of the Guardians of the Universe and all who served them, and with Atrocitus serving as their leader. The Five Inversions performed a ritual which allowed them to peer into the future and discover the prophecy of The Blackest Night which decreed that all life in the universe would end.[/FONT]
[FONT="]After Abin Sur began making periodic visits to the planet Ysmault, where the Five Inversions were imprisoned after the Guardians destroyed their Empire of Tears, he began to ask questions regarding the Blackest Night. Sur even went so far as to free Atrocitus from his imprisonment so he could lead the Green Lantern to Earth, the birthplace of "the black" that would end the universe. Caged in Sur's starship, Atrocitus instilled fear in Sur, allowing the yellow impurity to seep into his willpower constructs and weaken them enough to allow him to escape. After slashing the Green Lantern in the chest, mortally wounding him, Atrocitus jumped from a point high in Earth's atmosphere to escape Sur's failing ship.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Atrocitus continued his violent rampage on the planet Earth. After killing an unspecified number of Air Force troopers, Atrocitus recited what would later become the oath of the Red Lantern Corps and performed a ritual which gives him the name of the herald of the Blackest Night: William Hand.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Atrocitus created a device using gun parts which acted as a cosmic divining rod, and used it to lead him to Hand (the device eventually became Hand's criminal weapon). Once he tracked down the human who, it is said, will play a prominent role in the coming of the Blackest Night, he attacked, and planned to take Hand's innards back to Ysmault. Before his plan proceeded, however, Sinestro and rookie Green Lantern Hal Jordan intercepted him, spiriting William Hand to safety. Atrocitus used his newly-constructed device to sap the power from their rings, leaving them with only their wits to defend them before the master of the Five Inversions.[/FONT]
[FONT="]Sinestro was able to restore their rings' powers through his power battery, but Atrocitus still had the upper hand. Just as he was about to crush Sinestro with a power shovel, Hal used his ring to blow up the yellow vehicle. This act surprised Atrocitus greatly, as he believed Green Lantern rings did not work on yellow. Defeated, Atrocitus was contained by Sinestro, and taken to Oa. He was later returned to Ysmault by Sinestro, where he prophesied that Sinestro's home planet Korugar would soon erupt into chaos and disorder. [/FONT]

This makes him a little more malleable than most others. I would like to run a good Lantern focused story, but I think Attrocitus and his Corps could form a good threat ot any of the games heroes..

Far on the dark side of Ysmault there stands a figure, bathed in blood and fire. His muscled torso covered in red and black, his breathing shallow and angry. He looks up at his construct, magnificent in its power. It glows, red and imposing in the surrounding darkness.
He smiles at his work, a mouth lined with white, deadly fangs stark against his red complexion. It is finally done, and now the universe will finally tremble. Thoughts of his imprisonment fuelled every step of the monoliths construction. Sinestro. Jordan. The Guardians. The Corps.
All so arrogant in thier safe little cradle of power. Well they would be safe no more. He knew anger and violence. Pure unbridled rage coursed through his monsterous form. The red ring on his finger bristled with red energy as his heart rate quickened. Yes, he would take thier cradle and crush it mercilessly. They would pay in blood and in their defeat his own Corps would rise.
The figure steps forward and lifts a smaller version of the construct into the air. It drips with blood fresh from the corpse at his feet. His free hand moves to the hanging lantern and he brings the glowing red ring into line. [/FONT]

He could feel the power of the ring grow exponentially. The Power Battery would help recruit more to his cause in due time. But for now he was one and he was hungry for vengeance.
