As a child growing up in Daxam, Sodam always interested in the stars and their various systems. However, due to Daxam's isolated culture the young child could never explore the stars. That changed one day when he saw a meteorite crash near his home and as he investigated he found an alien from another planet. Sodam nurtured the alien back to health, and tried to help him rebuild his ship. The two then became close friends teaching each other of their culutures, but then the Daxam council caught on and found Sodam's friend Tessog and murdered him. Since then, Sodam tried to fix his freinds' ship but when he did a Green Lantern power ring found his way and recruited him to the Green Lantern Corps.
Sodam Yat is a member of the Green Lantern Corps, the intergalactic police force that gives members a weapon known as a power ring. Power rings operate with the willpower and imagination of all those who use them, it also gives them flight and the ability to breath in space.
Sodam as a Daxamite under the influence of a yellow sun as the powers of invulnerability, super speed, strength, ice breath, heat/x-ray vision and natural flight. However he is very vulnerable to the element of lead.

At first I had very little interest in the character of Sodam Yat, however after reading his origin in Green Lantern Corps 18 and his fight with Superboy Prime, and role in Alan Moore Tales of the Green Lantern Corps, I becam extrmley intrigued with the idea and properties of the character.
I hope to have a very intriguing and fun time with playing the character of Sodam Yat in this RPG. And hope other people will enjoy it as well.

The Planet Daxam, Space Sector 1760 a few months ago
"I'm sorry for what happened to you Telssog, but maybe I can find a place in this universe that will respect other beings and other life forms."
I say in the wind of the place I first met my best friend, who crash landed here one faithful day and changed my life once and for all. I look at my star ship, using my knowledge from my studies of Daxam technology and Telssog's race I hope it will be able to work. I look behind me to gaze at the natural forests, it's one of the places left of nature. Then again, where else was my solitude going to be in a place like this of fear and loathing.
Then I gaze once more at the stars and what they mean; eternal light it truly is remarkable the prospect of what can happen up there and what's in store for me and other beings, other races. Hopefully not ones that prosecute you for being different, so tired of looking at people with blue eyes and black hair. So tired am I truly.
Without a moment's hesitation I enter the ship's cargo pit it's cramped but enough for me to operate inside. "Systems ready?" I ask the ship's control Systems operating at 80%.
I nod slowly as I prepare for take off, it hovers above the grand slowly and rises up towards the moons and sun of this wasteland. And as I reach towards this world's atmosphere I think I have gone higher then any other Daxamite has gone before, with a smirk I whisper to myself.
"Goodbye, Daxam."
And with that, I launch outside the planet's atmosphere and I don't dare look back. I'm quite far ahead of the moon and see more and more stars with this, I am amazed by it's brilliance.
All of a sudden, my ship picks up something on it's radar. WARNING! Unidentified flying object approaching vesicle at high speeds. I look towards the outside and notice a small emerald light getting closer and closer, dammit! I hadn't prepared defences I try to manoeuvre my direction quickly, plotting it to 80 degrees the other way. Only then do I notice it's coming to my direction.
WARNING! OBJECT APPROACHING AT INTENSE SPEEDS! ABORT! ABORT!
No! I've come this far, I can't stop now. As I think that I use all my will to put the ship to full speed but it's no use I can see the green object approaching towards I cover my hands over my head, when all of a sudden I hear my name.
SODAM YAT OF THE PLANET DAXAM, SECTOR 1760.
I then feel a strange presence over my hand and fingers that tingles all through my body.
