-Funny story from a recent Hulk Hogan interview on Bubba the Love Sponge. Hogan was asked if Floyd Mayweather Jr. was really getting paid $20 million by WWE. Hogan replied, "Who is he? A boxer?" Hogan said for $2 million, he would go to Wresltemania and job for any midcarder. Hogan went as far as to say, "I would even job for (Dave) Meltzer."

You will see in the next couple of months that the WWE is planning to start heavily marketing towards children. I thought that sounded weird at first, but it kind of makes sense.

They are opening up http://www.wwekids.com and the first edition of the WWE Kids Magazine is coming out very soon and Punk is featured in it. Two of the main wrestlers that have been pushed towards children are out of action due to a drug suspension (Jeff Hardy) and an injury (Rey Mysterio). So, with that in mind, the WWE wants CM Punk to be highly pushed towards children and their parents. You will really notice this after Wrestlemania. The WWE public relations machine has already had Punk attend a few schools and there is currently a newspaper article about going to a WWE show and one of the major parts from it was that these parents took their kids to the WWE show to see CM Punk, since he's drug, alcohol, and steroid free.

Linda McMahon also always mentions his name during most of her television interviews, as both she and Vince are HUGE fans of CM Punk and they appreciate his attitude/lifestyle.

I'm guessing with Londons' constant health issues its better to have Kendrick compete on his own. I would guess London is either going away for a bit to heal up.
I guess banging Ashley won't help him out this time.

PWInsider is reporting that WWE is scheduled to announce Eddie Graham (owner/operator of Championship Wrestling from Florida) as the next inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame - Class of 2008 tonight on ECW on Sci Fi.

It should also be noted that while Hulk Hogan stated he would be inducting Graham at the ceremony on March 29, the belief at this point is that Dusty Rhodes will be doing the induction and that Mike Graham will accept on behalf of his father.

Raw last night was great, ME wasn't too much but it was interesting and enjoyable to say the least. Speaking of that did you guys see what happened after the match ended on WWE.com? I wish they ended the show with that ending instead. It was great to see Santino not once, not twice, but three times that night... actually, take out the third because that was when he was wrestling. "Snoopy the Dogg" bit was fun, and Santino stealing King's sandwich was pure gold. The Highlight Reel segment between Jericho/Big Show was much better then their match if you ask me, mainly because of the way it had ended. Also, did someone steal Christian Cage's finishing move last night?! McMahon vs. Flair was decent, nothing special but it was good to see Flair in action either way. The only thing I dispise about Flair is when he bleeds which is in like almost every match he's in. And that's funny because if you play any of the WWE games you'll notice that Flair's match speciality is the 'First Blood' match... weird. Anyway, loved the show and, 'Mania eve is always good because we get so much great stuff like the 'Hall Of Fame', 'Mania Rewind matches, etc. Overall, great show:up:

Long time since I've been in this thread. Mainly because I'm so busy with school and work, and I'm usually backed up on my DVR and I don't want to get spoiled. I know I've missed a lot of great diva pics.

Really sad to hear about Candice. She had the most amazing physique I've seen on her when she came back, and now she's gone on injury again? I noticed something was wrong during the match, I was hoping it wasn't anything serious.

Santino is hilarious. Snoopy the dogg, and on commentary with Jerry, implying he was fat and also the patience comment.

The main event was great. Randy Orton's RKO has to be one of the best finishers. How can the crowd not help but cheer?

On Smackdown, Maryse got eliminated first?! I find this very hard to believe since she's hardly ever been on tv, BUT her beauty has been getting her some of the biggest diva pops since she started appearing in the ring. She's now my #1 diva. Didn't think anyone could beat Trish, Stacy or Kristal for me, but she does so pretty easily.

That was an amazing match between Y2J and Hardy last week. I was getting worried for Y2j, but he's got some nice momentum going now. Whats been happening with the drugs is exactly why I don't see Hardy as a main eventer.

I'm glad MVP didn't lose his title against Batista. He looked strong, and it's amazing that so quickly, he's almost out of the mid-card and in the upper-card.

The thuganomics character Cena had is too good to be left behind. I understand why they don't do it anymore but I say they give it to someone else that will sell it and be able to hold unto it.

No thank you:dry:
That was as ennoying as all hell, that's the reason why people booed him in the first place, he resembled a stereo-typical, African-American "gangster" or whatever the hell you call them. I didn't really care because I never watched Wrestling when it was on SpikeTV.

I love hearing this stuff about Punk. It's great to see that he is getting support from the company bigwigs.

Maryse is about as useless as Kelly Kelly...if not more...
I agree with you on Maria but honestly, every comment I read from you has something to do with thinking the Divas are useless as all hell. Are you bias? I mean, I agree with you occasionally it's just it seems that every comment you make in this thread has something to do with dislike or disrespect for the Divas. I agree that Kelly Kelly and Maryse are about as useless as a wad of paper and that most of the Divas are but my reasoning is because when I hear the term "WWE", I expect "Wrestling", not swim-suit contests or cat-fights every second. If they wanted that to be the prime example of WWE why don't they just change their damn name?!

is there still a chance of Matt Hardy being in MITB, or is it set at 7 competitors?

Candice. She's been using it ever since she got good at wrestling.

Well there are 5 more shows 'til 'Mania so there could be a chance, maybe a surprise entry or 'Money In The Bank' qualifier.

Yeah, but Cage should sue for gimmick infringement.

In an update on backstage WWE politics, it should come as no surprise that Triple H and Shawn Michaels are more influential than any other wrestlers. Triple H is seen as being rather protective of his position but does try to keep Vince McMahon away from toilet humour. Some hold him in higher regard than others and believe there would not be so much criticism of him if he was not married to Stephanie. Others point to things like him openly mocking Chris Jericho’s returning gimmick as a negative example. Michaels is said to be more neutral and relaxed about his creative involvement these days than in the ’90s. Both of them are the only wrestlers willing and able to voice concerns about the product, yet still face an uphill battle when it comes to trying to change Vince’s mind on something. The Undertaker also has a lot of influence but is nowhere near as involved in the creative process. Other would-be influential upper mid-card wrestlers are simply biding their time for now rather than pushing to replace these three.

Also, according to Jason Powell, WWE considered approaching Steve Austin about refereeing the Big Show vs Floyd Mayweather match at WrestleMania. For whatever reason, it never happened.

After taking a stiff shot from Jeff Hardy last week, Chris Jericho again took a legitimate punch on Raw. The Big Show was the guilty culprit this time around, duh. WWE has been telling people to keep their punches tight since the move to HD broadcasting.

Ric Flair is going to be participating in a ‘reality’ show for CBS, Secret Talents of the Stars, as a salsa dancer. It starts on 8 April.

***ECW SPOILER***

The next WWE Hall of Fame inductee, to be revealed on ECW tonight, will be the late Florida Championship Wrestling promoter Eddie Graham. Dusty Rhodes will do the induction speech and Eddie’s son Mike will accept it on his father’s behalf.

I don't like the divas with no discernible talent for wrestling.....Kelly is at the top of that list...

well, wwe.com says that Morrison clinched his spot as the "final" entry for MITB. It just seems weird to have 7 instead of the 6 or 8 of the past.

I'd say why it's like this but I think we all know why it's 7 instead of 8 this year. It's all simply a matter of contracting and crap like that and I don't think they had back-up plans for stuff like this.

Elijah Burke...my favorite ECW wrestler.
I wish that they'd give him the extra MITB because personally, I'd like to see him in it over Matt Hardy because this year I want to see more crazy stuff along the lines of what Shelton Benjamin did at previous events.

I see CM Punk wining at mania because of that article above, and I think Kofi vs Punk would be a fun match one day

Sounds good, Kofi Kingston is an entertaining Superstar to say the very least. He's just a guy you can't help but route for when you run into him and I hope they have him win the 24-Man Battle Royal at 'Mania to win the title from Chavo because I honestly don't see Chavo representing ECW, that's why ECW's rarely above sea-level as of late. Most of their champions don't deserve to hold the title. John Morrison was a great ECW Champion with a whole hell of a lot-a athletism which is what ECW should be all about. When I watch ECW I want to see athletic guys go at it in "Extreme Rules" matches while still delivering to the fans with Classic ECW like what we say with that "Extreme Rules" Tag-Team Match for the World Tag-Team Titles, loved that, nice little mix of athletism and classic ECW. But back to the topic, I think I'd like to see a match between Kofi & Shelton Benjamin/Elijah Burke, or hell, if Kofi could win the title from Chavo, have a Triple Threat "Extreme Rules" match-up for the title between the three at Backlash, after all, doesn't ECW stand for "Extreme Championship Wrestling"? So an "Extreme Rules" match-up from ECW once in a while shouldn't be too much to ask for consider "Extreme" is mentioned in the main-title.

WWE is currently taping this week's edition of Friday Night SmackDown from the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi. Below is ongoing coverage from tonight's tapings written exclusively by Richard Gray.

Pre-Show Notes:

- I am told that there is a briefcase on a cable hanging above the ring.

Dark Match:

- Vladamir Kozlov b. Jamie Noble with some type of inverted clothesline maneuver

WWE SmackDown (Air date 3/20)
Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi

- Batista comes out to a huge pop from the crowd to open the show.

- (1) Batista b. Deuce & Domino in a total squash match. Batista hit a Batista Bomb on Domino to get the win.

- A backstage segment airs with Cherry talking trash. ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero vs. Undertaker is announced for later tonight.

- Teddy Long announced that tonight's Diva competition between Cherry, Eve, Michelle McCool and Victoria will be an arm wrestling match. The arm wrestling table was setup in the ring. Victoria beat Eve, Michelle McCool beat Cherry. Michelle McCool beat Victoria. Victoria is the diva eliminated by the fans. Victoria attacks Michelle but she is able to counter and Victoria gets knocked to the outside.

- (2) Big Show b. Andy Douglas, Chase Stevens, & an unknown wrestler in a total squash match. Big Show nailed a right hand on Chase Stevens to get the victory.

- (3) World Heavyweight Champion Edge b. Funaki in a squash match. Edge mocked Undertaker by picking up Funaki and hitting a Tombstone.

- The briefcase above the ring on the cable was for MVP's VIP Lounge which is up next. Chris Jericho is announced as the guest. The segment features a lot of verbal sparring. Jericho plays with MVP's name calling him a zit, loser, and a jackass. MVP ends up climbing the ladder and Jericho pushes him off.

- (4) Kane vs. Chuck Palumbo ends in no contest. The Great Khali comes out and gives Kane a hard chop and then a tree slam to both. Mark Henry comes out and takes out Khali. He hits a splash on Palumbo and the World's Strongest Slam on Kane. Big Daddy V was not featured in the segment.

- (5) WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison b. Jesse & Festus to retain. Jesse takes a pretty big beating before Festus gets the tag and cleans house. Festus ends up getting thrown out of the ring. The Miz scored the pinfall on Jesse after he hit the Reality Check.

- (6) ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero vs. The Undertaker is up next. Edge comes out with Chavo. Undertaker dominated throughout until he ended up choking Chavo out. After the match, Edge hits the ring along with Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. Undertaker attempts a chokeslam on one of the Edgeheads but Edge hits the Spear. All three beat Undertaker up in the ring with chairs.

The following will probably not be shown on television:

Batista comes out to make the save. Undertaker and Batista re-gain control as Undertaker gives Edge a Tombstone.

What a load of crap.

They should of kept it even , they could easily add someone to the mix.
