There's no doubt in my mind that Stone Cold's goal in his career was always to be the next big thing, especially at Wrestlemania. His match with Bret Hart was all about that. Even the Rock/Austin series was about creating Wrestlemania moments, such as Rock locking Austin in the Sharpshooter a la Bret Hart match with the image of blood pouring down Austin's face, or their last encounter in which the Rock finally defeated Austin.

I'd argue that the end of Wrestlemania X-7 with Austin and McMahon was made to be a Wrestlemania moment.

I guess I see it now as so much more blatant, perhaps it was because I was younger when I used to watch it and saw it differently? I really don’t remember them being this obvious before. It seems like there’s no subtlety, especially with the announcers just flat out saying “wrestlemania moment” every other segment. Who knows, maybe I’m just crazy lol

The show was pretty bland last night.

- Was really hoping to see the tag match, wtf?

- Taker/HBK wasn't just MOTN it was the OGMOTN(only good match of the night )

- Expected HHH to win, but damn the match was boring.

Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels was the definitive match of Wresltemania 25 and should of closed the show.

The Orton and Triple H match was decent but I was expecting something more. The ending didn't seem to have much of an impact.

The Triple threat seemed short to me but they put on a decent match. I think the ending makes Cena seem like the rightful winner and i thought the move looked impressive.

Hardy vs Hardy was good . I wasn't a big fan of the buildup but these guys had an entertaining match. Good for Matt ,to pick up the win.

I thought the Money in the Bank was really fun and I liked all the spots. there were some botched that were kind of scary but luckly no one is seriously hurt. I thought it was cool when Christain stopped himself on the ladder and when he came really close to winning at the end. Shelton really went all out and did a great job.

I didn't like the Kid Rock set, it didn't seem to flow for me. I like some of his music but I wasn't feelin it.

I missed some of the legends match but caught thee end with Rourke. It all semed kind of obvious but his appearance was still cool. He is great in the Wrestler so I can appreciate it even if might of felt tacky.

The tag match not being shown was a letdown and the I.C. title , well, that speaks for itself.

The Diva match was also a big let down. I could hardly make out anybody because they came in during a kid rock song. Gail Kim fell out of the ring, I'm assuming it was a botch. "Santina" was funny but should not have won the match . It's a sad day for divas. I wanted to see a bit more of Sunny

Rey was pretty damn ridiculous during the Filthy Animals era. It's probably why that entire chunk of his career wasn't in his recent dvd set.


Speaking of which, it is pretty humorous to see how much Rey Mysterio changed during the years. From a skinny little shrimp to the bloated tattooed Rey we know today....
