I'm interested in seeing if ECW gets any main event guys since they truly don't have any. Last time I remember, Kane and Big Show were technically Smackdown.

Anyways, I'm intriqued to see what happens in the draft.

Guys I expect to be moved are:

Elijah Burke
Umage
Batista
MVP
CM Punk

The only drafts that would absolutely shock me are:

Edge to RAW/ECW
HHH to ECW

The posters who post in the forum over at WWE Fanation are mentally ******ed. Have you seen their mock drafts? They have like 10-15 superstars per brand being drafted when at most there will be 3 or 4 per brand.

ROH has posted the match listings for their two new retail DVDs, which come out on July 8.

Both sound excellent. I'm really surprised they put Joe vs. Kobashi on a compilation.

Damn good lists, Sage. I read the RAW one while you were typing up the others a few days ago. Great reads, with many of the points being similar to exactly what I was thinking, as well.

Hunter's earlier post on Carlito makes me wonder if Carlito's problems aren't all intertwined. He wants a push but doesn't work hard enough to warrant it, but possibly doesn't work hard because he's frustrated he's not getting a push.

Tho I do admit the, "only push the money players" line bothers me. Sure their money players now, but there are plenty of other guys who have the potential to bring in money but never get a push. If you keep building the company off the same guys you know draw, then you run into the WCW problem where eventually the younger unproven talent that have tons of potential get frustrated. Of course in this case there's no other promotion that will pay them better, but still. Also it does make me wonder why Rhodes and Holly have been pushed all this time over the hosses, Cryme Tyme, Carlito and Santino (despite them not being great, their better than R&H), and Londrick. With ratings affecting pushes I'm seeing long term problems poping up from their short term solutions.

Cant wait for the draft tomorrow night! I heard cena to sd and cm punk to raw!

The WWE Draft takes place tomorrow night on a special 3-hour edition of WWE RAW. WWE has promised to shake things up - here's the latest Draft news. Keep in mind that NONE of this stuff is confirmed:

-- The John Cena to SD! rumors continue to circulate among many backstage. This would be the 'big' shakeup. Keep in mind the Mickie James-John Cena storyline came to an abrupt end and they really want someone big as the main promotion when they move SD! to MyNetwork TV in the fall.

-- Much like previous years, WWE is keeping the draft very secretive, to the point that most all of the talent will find out if they're changing brands as soon as the audience does during the live show.

-- There has been some talk of moving the Women's Title to either ECW or Smackdown but no official decision has been made just yet. Vince feels that both of those brands need something to distinguish them from what RAW offers and the Women's Title just may be the answer to that.

-- JBL wanted to make his in-ring return on SD! several months back and he has Vince McMahon's ear. A move back to SD! for him would not shock me.

-- Brian Gewirtz is a huge fan of Santino with his comedy so don't expect him to leave.

-- Jamie Noble works as a backstage producer/agent on SD! so don't expect to see him move.

-- There could be something to Lance Cade appearing in the main event of RAW last week. There is talk that it could have been a setup to send him over to possibly ECW as a top heel.

-- There were rumblings that Randy Orton was a candidate to move to Smackdown before he broke his collarbone. And now there are rumblings that Batista could join him on RAW in a new Evolution faction that would likely feud with Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

-- Umaga is expected to be traded to SmackDown.

-- As stated on WWE RAW this week, The Undertaker will not be a part of the Draft.

-- Don't expect Triple H to go anywhere other than RAW.

-- Back in 2002, WWE did a live draft for television and a secondary draft with the results posted on the company website. A number of mid-level and lower-level wrestlers had to log on to the WWE site late at night after the draft to find out about their futures. It's expected that WWE will do something similar this year by announcing some of the trades on WWE.com after RAW as well as on ECW and SmackDown! later in the week.

I like the idea of Cade as top heel on ECW.

http://pulsewrestling.com/2008/06/23/updates-on-angle-steiner-warrior-wwe-ppv/

Here are some wrongly impressive statistics about the lack of originality in the WWE title scene. Since the creation of the World Heavyweight Title in 2002, every Raw title match on PPV bar two has featured Triple H, John Cena or Randy Orton - and the two exceptions both had Triple H in the main event nonetheless rather than the title match. On the Smackdown side of things, every PPV world title match since 2006 has featured Batista, Edge or The Undertaker, even though all three men have been out for lengthy periods since then.

A great many people in TNA are concerned about Kurt Angle’s well-being. Karen Angle was practically in hysterics backstage at Sacrfice whilst watching his match with A.J. Styles. She was consoled by Tomko, who assured her that Kurt was just working when he appeared to be out of it.

Scott Steiner is expected to be cleared to wrestle for the Victory Road PPV. His injury at Sacrifice was never acknowledged on-screen due to his heel character.

There is no talk backstage at TNA about bringing in the Ultimate Warrior.

Cade to ECW? Not a bad idea. Better then him on Raw. I got tired of seeing Mark Henry on ECW anyways.

The Womens Title on Smackdown? Why do I get the feeling that Vickie Guerrero is going to bring a diva into La Familia just for that?

Why would Vickie create a Diva's championship if they're going to move the Women's title to SD?

I call false on that one. I say Mickie stays where she is.

The Diva's that I can see moving are Melina to SD and Kelly Kelly to Raw.

The Womens Title either stays on Raw or goes to ECW. If it goes to ECW, it makes itself different from Raw or Smackdown and with the "extreme" taken out of ECW, they need something to distinguish themselves a bit. I guess this would be the alternative if they are not going to bring back the CW Division.

It's going to stay on Raw.

Yep.

Hopefully it turns out better then last year. The best pick of the entire draft came during the Supplemental Draft when John Morrison moved over from Raw.

Ric Flair retired, Torrie Wilson (the only diva chosen) left, we all know what happened with Benoit, Booker T went to TNA, Snitsky has done nothing, Khali was World Champion once (but hasn't done anything since), Big Daddy V is inactive right now as he needs to shed 100 pounds, etc. and Bobby Lashley left.

My predictions as of right now are

To ECW: Lance Cade, Santino Marella, and Chuck Palumbo
To Smackdown!: Umaga, Carlito, CM Punk and Melina (Possibly John Cena)
To Raw: MVP, Rey Mysterio, Kelly Kelly, and Batista

because an internet "insider" said so?

Raw- Batista, John Morrison, Rey Mysterio and MVP
Smackdown- Jeff Hardy, Umaga, CM Punk and Carlito (maybe Cena)
ECW- Super Crazy, Big Show, Santino Marella and Mark Henry

I don't see Cade moving personally. The reason is he's just starting off his push under Y2J, and it honestly got us curious why he was out there, what's his relation to Y2J, why would he lay them out? Unless their going to act like there was no alliance and Cade just wondered out there for kicks, I see him staying on RAW and developing his character under Y2J until he can branch off on his own. Not that he wouldn't fit on ECW, but honestly we don't know yet. Haven't seen him solo long enough to tell if he's good solo, and he hasn't been solo long enough to grab attention to bring in ppl to watch ECW. ATM he's still just a former tag team title holder, he needs to flesh out a bit more. I will say tho that he does have promise.

Though I can't wait for tonight, the magic is slightly out of it for me due to it taking place before Night of Champions. It just doesn't make sense.

Anyway here's what I expect to be the main drafts;

CM Punk and John Cena to SD

Batista to Raw

Umaga and MVP to ECW

*Some drafts that I would like to see but doubt will happen*

  • Kennedy to SD
  • MVP to Raw
  • Jeff Hardy to SD

There is an outside shot of La Familia breaking up tonight.

And hopefully the return of Edge Shock Face if Cena gets drafted.

Don't feel like searching for my last draft predictions (actually thought it out), just going to toss some names out this time tho.

Raw - Batista, MVP, CM Punk, Kelly Kelly
SD - Cena, Umaga, JBL, Mickie James
ECW - Big Show, Murdoch, Palumbo, Cherry

I keep changing who I think, because I put who I want and not what WWE would do. Last time I had Cade to SD (wrote right after him and Murdoch split), but now don't think he will switch based on current events. RAW always seems to have the best night, if SD is getting Cena and JBL and Punk does move RAW will prob get him to give RAW the nod (even tho I think Punk would get the Londrick treatment on RAW).

I do think there will be more tho. My guess is 3 stars announced per brand during the show, and then they'll put a list on the site of other stars who were drafted but not mentioned on the show like last time. I also guess that Mickie will go to SD and at night of champs Katie wins to keep the belt at RAW (where last week I guessed a Katie and Mickie fued).
