Now THAT would bring some insane heat with it, that is perhaps the most uniquely interesting storyline/match up they could do for WM25.

Yes it is. The latest main-event acquisition against the franchise. It'd be great. That would be the new Warrior/Hogan. As far as I'm concerned, Batista's losing heat and is losing his marquee value while Cena retains his. Might as well change it up.

Or have him wrestle Triple H in an interpromotional match.

there's a reason CM Punk is in the IC tournament...he'll get the IC belt and be the standard bearer for that division, I don't see him getting into the title scene anytime soon...maybe spring or summer next year for Punk...

No doubt Batista is getting stale, all he does is grunt about the belt and rassle, he's had so many title matches it's like a running gag now.

Punk/HHH ?

Couldn't agree more. Plus, Punk and Regal would put on another great match.

And that achieves absolutely nothing since he was already more over than roid **** anyway.

Way way too soon. Punk has to get high up in main-event stature. Otherwise, he wouldn't go over.

Punk will get another title opportunity it's just not going to be RIGHT NOW....

What interpromotional match were you meaning then ?

Yeah which is stupid, given how they have nothing of interest in the World title scene on Raw.

Batista vs Triple H.

Punk will do fine in the IC division. He'll most likely restore the belt's prestige and have great matches with guys like Matt Hardy, Morrison, Regal, Mysterio and Ted DiBiase Jr. It's just that he's to RAW what Jeff Hardy is to Smackdown: a fresh main-eventer that the crowd can rally behind. Not utilizing him in that capacity leaves us with the same old, same old.

Granted, I like Cena, but he needs to put someone new over. No one better than Punk on RAW right now. Guess I can hope for a Summerslam match.

Well Batista vs HHH is happening this coming Raw.

Ugh, the idea of a guy going backwards is so redundant to me, Kofi could have spearheaded that division, they didn't need to waste Punk while Vince tries too make ppl believe Batista is on Cena's level, when in truth he is more or less a modern Sid with more ability.

I like Cena but he is rusty as hell right now and the new Michael Jackson character is nauseating.

With risks come the greatest rewards.

Besides, people weren't changing the channel because of risks. WWE was losing ratings due to the return to stale programs. I noticed a ratings increase starting with the Punk title win and the Jericho program with HBK. the ratings only went down a bit when Batista was introduced into the title picture on RAW and Santino won the IC belt (honk a meter was one of THE LOWEST RATED segments on RAW. Cena's comeback and the
On SD! they have had some growth as well.

The injuries at WWE over the past year mostly have been the result of overworking talent in long programs and house shows. Vince didn't effectively use his talent; he was paying a lot of people to sit backstage and do nothing and now he's paying the price for wasting all that money by having to release so much talent. Had he used that talent in some mid-card feuds or as jobber fodder it would have given overworked guys like taker a chance to rest injuries and refresh themselves.

While we can't tell what's going to happen in the next 6 months with superstars regarding injuries and suspensions, there's nothing like seeing someone else take a spot or a push to make a wrestler get themselves together.

It's taking chances that made Vince money, so he might as well give it a shot. Using Punk in a main-event capacity isn't really too much of a risk since he gave RAW a ratings' spike as you said. The only failure of the run was booking of his matches: he rarely won clean.

Because you said HBK, a respected veteran if this business who has proven time and time again that he's one of the best there ever was...doesn't deserve a win. But, Jeff Hardy does, who is just now learning to work the ring and has been in trouble several times before. That's what he's confused about.

I don't believe Assassin meant that a Michaels win over Taker wouldn't be deserved, what he meant was that there is no point. If anyone is to beat Taker at Wrestlemania it should be someone who is going to be around for a while and 'carry the torch'. Michaels is not that person.

A lot of the current main eventers on the roster are pretty damn old with 1-3 good years left in them. Only Cena, Orton, Edge and Jericho will be around in five years. Why else would they want Christian Cage back so badly? I don't think Cage will be misused if he signs with the WWE because the WWE will have to push some brand new faces in the Main Event scene by 2009 at the earliest, because they have to prepare for when a large amount of their guys all retire.

They have to create fresh blood pretty soon to be elevated, otherwise in five years the entire main event scene in the WWE will consist of John Cena, Randy Orton, Edge (barring injury) and Chris Jericho (barring injury as well).

If they do Cena/Batista at WM 25, they should turn Batista heel and have him screw Cena out of the belt.

Then you can have Cena chasing him, with HBK, Rey, and Punk also being there to challenge Big Dave for the belt.

Batista doesn't need the belt, and I don't think any program where he's champ is going to be good, no matter who he faces.

Finlay and the Midget vs. Henry and Atlas........next week on ECW.

Well, then in that case, I completely concur.

Vince needs to remember one of the reasons as to why the Attitude Era was so succesful. It was a sudden push of talented workers who earned the main spotlight, like Triple H, Stone Cold, The Rock, Mankind, and so on. We need that now, with CM Punk, The Hardys, and Morrison. Out with the old, in with the new, so to speak.

What does "need" have to do with it?

As a babyface, Batista has no more use. He's basically Cena Jr who grunts about wanting to be World Champion. But a well done heel turn could pump new life back into him.

And if Cena is going to be in the World title picture (and like it or not he gets bigger reactions than everyone else on the roster, even if it's mixed, so he should be the main star), I'd rather have him be chasing the belt for long periods of time as apposed to holding it for long periods of time.

I like the matches set up for the slammy night. Havent seen some of those matches for years. Also, i love the push melina is gettin fresh off her injury. I hope she goes over Beth for the title.

Looks like she's fitting into the role of face quite nicely. And it feels like hasn't even been gone that long, also is it just me or has she gotten hotter since she's been back?

She looks extremely hott since coming back. I love me some melina. She's my favorite diva now!

I think what makes her look better is the fact that she's smiling more.

This Friday, Dec 5th, Hurricane Helms Returns to the Ring!

Albany, NY Rules!!

So this Friday, Dec. 5th, marks my return to Smackdown, and I want to go on record and thank the Albany crowd for the reception they gave me. Crowds really do make a difference in a show. A dead crowd can bring a great show down, while an excited energetic crowd can make an average show seem top notch! The energy from a great crowd is something that I feed off of and I know others do as well. Great crowds and towns are always high on our list of places that we, as performers, like to go to. Chicago, Detriot, MSG, Toronto, Montreal, and Anaheim are among some of the loudest crowds that I have been in front of and therefore, these are the places that I've always liked the most. Well now, I must add Albany to that list! Albany was very good to me! The various chants they gave me were exciting and I must admit also very touching. A "Welcome back" chant caught me off gaurd right off the bat, and it bought a touch of emotion to my return. The "Hurricane" chant was nice to hear after such a long time not hearing it. The "I'm just saying" chant almost made me chuckle, and right behind the "Welcome Back" was my favorite of the night! I believe there was a "Rosey" chant too, which I'm sure Big Ro-Ro will be happy to hear about. There was also a small chant about my tattoo, which I heard, but I couldn't make out exactly what was being said, but it was still very much appreciated. This past year and a half was about as tough a year as one could have and by far, the toughest of my life. The injury notwithstanding, the loss of my mother was, and still is, something that affects me all the time. On top of that, about 6 months later, I also lost my step-mother Bridgette. Bridgette was my father's 2nd wife, and was whom I, my brother and my sister were raised by for nearly 13 years. I kept that loss out of the media as best I could, because to be honest, I just wasn't ready to deal with that yet. A few months later, two close friends of mine, Brannon and Crystal, and their 7 day old newborn, Skylar, were struck by a train and killed. A triple funeral was held for them and up until that point I'd never seen an infant in a casket before, and I hope I never do again. That will indeed put your life in perspective if nothing will. Finally, as if that wasn't enough, a few months later, an uncle by marriage, Ronald, also passed. I understand that death is a part of life, but this last year, it played a HUGE part in mine and I honestly need a break from that!! At least in Ronald's case, their was a small blessing in that it re-connected me and my family with his daughter Tina, my lil cuz who I hadn't seen in years.

So it is with all that knowledge that I hope everyone watching the show this Friday understands that at the end of the match when I probably should've been a little more jubilant, I was honestly trying my best to hold back a few tears. I'm far from the most emotional guy on Earth, but that "Welcome Back" chant coupled with the thought that my mom wouldn't be able to see my return got to me at the end. I haven't seen the playback yet so I'm not even sure what will show up on camera, but just in case, I thought I would let you know. And Albany....Thank You!!! You guys are the perfect example of why I do what I do! I've said before that I didn't get into this industry for the fame and fortune, hell, I fell in love with pro-wrestling before I even knew what fame and forture were! I've just always loved it and crowds like Albany re-inforce that love. Thank you again guys. It's good to be back!

So be sure to tune in Friday night! And I'm not sayin'....I'm just sayin!!! :):)

I can only think of 2 times HBK has won at WM...He should end the streak IMO
