When I see the first pic all I hear is Beth saying "Hows the collarbone feel *****!!"

The photo of Layla makes me think of Bugs Bunny....lets just say I'll never think of that wabbit the same ever again

That magazine shoot = :wow:

One of WWE's best PPV commercials:

- MyNetworkTV’s running a new commercial promoting the WWE Divas of SmackDown, calling them “the most glamorous women on television,” not to mention “beautiful, desirable and dangerous.” Maryse, Michelle McCool, Maria, Eve Torres, and The Bella Twins are featured in the commercial. The two SmackDown Divas not shown in the commercial — Victoria and Natalya. Back in October, MyNetworkTV ran a similar commercial promoting the Divas of SmackDown with both Victoria & Natalya getting the red-headed stepchild treatment in that one too. Alicia Fox was featured in the original commercial over them even though she had barely been featured in WWE by that point.

- Believe it or not, one direction WWE is going for at the Royal Rumble is to have Christian Cage make his return and cost Jeff Hardy the WWE Championship in the match with Edge. The idea would be to have Jeff not look weak and earn the WWE Title shot for WrestleMania 25, likely at No Way Out but then give it up for a match with Christian Cage. Yes, give it up. The plan has Christian Cage screwing Hardy enough times and building heat with him bad enough that Hardy wants the match with him at WrestleMania 25 regardless. Triple H factors into the plan somehow as he is slated to face Edge for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 25.

As we always say and as Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer notes with the above news, things are always changing in WWE, sometimes day to day but this is one direction they are looking to go with. These plans will more than likely change as well but Jeff Hardy is set for a feud with Christian, who is returning to WWE. At one point they wanted to put a stipulation on the Hardy and Edge match at Royal Rumble but Vince nixed it.

Whether or not Triple H will win the WWE Title at WrestleMania is anyone’s guess, but he hasn’t had a victory at WrestleMania since WrestleMania 19 when he defended the World Heavyweight Title against Booker T. He’s lost every year except when he was out with injury, so you could say he’s due.

Jeff Hardy...giving up his title shot?

And HHH getting his due at the next Wrestlemania has been countered by his title reign for the majority of last year.

Yea I hope they don't go with that plan. All it does it make the title seem unimportant.

I think if they do go that route, its obvious WWE still doesnt have full faith in Hardy, which is understandable.

But I could do without another HHH title reign, ugh!

Great avvy there, Hunter.

Oy, but not surprising. But why waste giving Hardy the title shot just so he can drop it for a match with Christain? Have Christain cost Hardy the show in the E.C. at NWO by eliminating him and have the match build from there.

Exactly, it would be idiotic booking, and it would make Hardy look like a moron.

Time to get the HHH pitch forks out again I'd say, I was always his biggest defender on here b/c I always felt the guys he was meant to have held back weren't really that over or good enough, but right now it's pure egotism as Jeff is quite clearly good enough and obviously beyond over enough. This will make HHH's 6th title match out of the last 7 Mania's and the only reason it's not 7 for 7 is he was injured at WM23, I guess it's an attempt to surpass Hogan (8) or something stupid like that, he should note though that all Hogan's ME's went on last (even though at WM8 it was not a title match), 2 of HHH'stitle matches were mid way through.

I'll give credit though: With the exception of Wrestlemania's 2000 and 19, HHH has lost every title match at Wrestlemania he's had, for the right reasons: to put the new guy over because it needed to be done. Don't understand why it wouldn't need to be done here for a guy who's mega over and that he's been building for over a year.

The problem is like you said earlier Sage he held the title for the majority of last year. Its like he'll let others get the Mania moments so that he can add a title reign or two during the year.

That was his first title reign in three years (Not counting No Mercy 07).

Vince does that whole "put you up, tear you down thing" which I think you shouldn't do to everyone....He'll put someone on top of the mountain and then kick them off to see how they handle it

lol

AND a feud with Umaga. :cwink:
Haha see, you and I just covered everything in Triple H's career from 06 till now. Although to be honest it has been longer then his last title reign but I guess Im just that tired of him as champ that when I think of it it doesn't seem like THAT long ago

On a side note 600 posts ago I was at 0. Now Im at 600!!

I think in the cases of Batista, Cena and Benoit he did the right thing and they were the right matches. The 2 he won (18 & 19) were also in the right as well IMO. However last year Orton and Cena didn't need him in the match and the triple threat was a mediocre waste for the biggest show of the year, but he HAD to push his way in and now this year Jeff and Edge could have held the ME up no problem, yet again he is politicking himself into the title match, and win or lose is irrelevant given both guys are concrete over.

The Christian/Jeff rivavlry will have to be INTENSE beyond belief if we are to believe that Hardy would drop a chance of earning that title again, especially since the last half of the year was him chasing it.

That article mentioned HHH being due a win, but that's not what it's about IMO. A title win at WM should be for that guy who dreamed of being a wrestler finally getting the title, or that good guy finally overcoming his arch nemesis (for lack of a better phrase). It's to make the crowd pop and think finally, then go home or turn off their TV feeling they got their monies worth. It's not for the guy who's had a dozen title runs to get another, that's not the magic WM can produce.

HHH doesn't need a title to be relevant, HBK has shown this time and time again. However WWE seems so afraid that Edge or Jeff can't carry a show that they always stick them in there with a sure thing like Taker or HHH. Guys like Edge and Jeff will never truly stand on their own if their never trusted with the WM ball. HHH may not have had a win at WM in a bit, but he has been part of several WM ME's, and ME'd many of the PPV's in the meantime (whether it was THE ME, or part of a double ME).

Everytime HBK wrestles in a title match, it's to put the champion over.

I don't get why HHH can't get his win in a non-title match. They should have Koslov cost HHH his chance at going to Wrestlemania and let them settle their problem there.

how about Kendrick and Jimmy Wang Yang at WMania....hows that for out of the box??

Did anyone ever expect that the Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels storyline would turn into the feud of the year between Jericho and Michaels?

Kendrick will probably either be in Money in the Bank, pre-show dark match, or WWE.COM exclusive match at Wrestlemania 25.

Yang may not make it to Wrestlemania 25.

But yeah, that's out of the box.

This sums it up perfectly, last year really had no moment in either title match and the show ended flatly, but it was saved overall b/c HBK and Flair had that classic that ended with the greatest Mania moment since Hogan slammed Andre.

Jeff's really more over than he is.

And Edge is a better heel than him, so I'm sure he's not keen on being second fiddle.

Here in lies the difference between HHH and HBK, my dad has always said HHH is defined entirely by the belt and when not involved with it he's just treading water, Shawn doesn't need the belt, he doesn't need the ME and he doesn't need protecting, he's one of the true icons and a fully 3 dimensional character who's past is one of the few that actually makes up his present character. Shawn brings emotion and relevance to any feud he does, HHH needs it to be about being "The Best" or else he flounders in a sea of lame smug jokes.

Awesome! :oldrazz:
