I bet its so that he escorts Shawn to the ring in white as a counterbalance to Undertaker's darkness as well as a bit of revenge for the whole cement hullaballoo from yesteryear.

That. Would. Be. HORRIBLE!

Paul Bearer has posted a blog debunking online reports saying WWE officials were trying to get an updated phone number on him in hopes of getting him into Houston, Texas for WrestleMania festivities this weekend.

While they did manage to reach him, he will not be able to attend the festivities due to prior commitments.

Here is his blog in its entirety:

Standing on the soapbox...

Gosh I hate it when I get like this, I really do. So... bear with me.

The wrestling internet is such an amazing beast. A "major" pro wrestling news website reported that WWE was trying to get in touch with Paul Bearer, but couldn't find a current telephone number for him. A "minor" wrestling website (I am certain there were more than one) picked up and ran with the story too.

First of all... please... put on your thinking caps for a second. Do you actually believe that WWE does not know how to contact me? Secondly, suspend your disbelief and if that were indeed factual, would they leak that to the pro wrestling internet superhighway?

Wait... **I'm counting to ten** I rufuse to get my blood pressure up over this minor thing. It is just unbelieveable that there are folks out there that are actually playing 'Dog The Bounty Hunter' and are trying to track me down for WWE. I know they may mean well, but I am getting emails, and hearing that there are posts on message boards to tell me that WWE is looking for me! Sweet Jesus!

If you would read my BLOG post above this one, you would have found the answer. I once was lost but now I am found. Sounds like a gospel song, doesn't it? Amen! Hey... I didn't even know I was lost. I hope they still have my mailing address, because it is royality time!

Once again. Just to clarify things, I WAS contacted by WWE to appear in Houston this weekend in conjunction with WM-25. Unfortunately, as much as I would have enjoyed (and needed) the trip, I had previous personal and business plans for the weekend and had to decline the thoughtful invitation. I WILL NOT be in Houston this weekend.

Be that as it may... it is still raining around here. But the forcasts say that it will end soon.
Have a wonderful Thursday!

Be Blessed.

Shawn Michaels says the younger wrestlers in WWE tend to shy away from physical contact in the ring. Michaels doesn't want to imply they lack passion, but says they were introduced to wrestling much different than he was over 20 years ago.

"That (physical contact) was engrained in guys years ago that I'm not so sure - I don't want to imply it's not in the guys - but I don't feel that when it comes to them," Michaels told David Barron in the Houston Chronicle to promote WrestleMania 25

Many of Michaels's peers, especially in Texas, played college football and thrived on contact. Michaels says the younger generation is getting into wrestling for money and not necessarily to be physical in the ring.

"Now, I think a lot of guys see our business and get into it because it's so big now and years ago it wasn't," Michaels said. "To get into the wrestling business years ago, it wasn't because of money or fame. It felt like you were a little bit different than the average guy."

Michaels says he asks himself from time to time whether he's a little different than a non-wrestler because he enjoys physical contact in the ring. Even though pro wrestling is a work and he can control the amount of punishment he endures, Michaels says there's an old-school mentality about wanting to be physical that makes him different from the average person.

"In my line of work, you have to love contact," Michaels said. "You go through life and it may even become a struggle where you wonder if you're a little off because you just thrive on that physical contact. You get a charge from that."

Probably not if it was someone who he disliked as much as Bret did Shawn.

The thing with Triple H is, all the wrestlers ha may have said didn't need a push, I think HHH, whenever he ahs pulled that card, thinks he is doing whats right for business, and he has just been wrong at times. I think Triple H would put over a guy he hated, IF he thought it was good for business.

For example, Triple H really didn't think Chris Jericho could draw. Probably still doesn't. And he is wrong. Triple H didn't think Kurt Angle was a convincing champion because he was small. Obviously wrong.

If TNA would have Samoa Joe lose the knife, and the pants, I would dig were the Joe character is going. The Main Event Mafia has sent someone over the edge, and Joe stands up to them.

Plus, there is a serious lack of badass babyfaces in wrestling right now.

Another FCW name change:

- Dakota Darsow is renamed Barry Allen

so the WWE throws Booker a table scrap and he's all "Thank you massa....o thanks you"?? huh??
Jimmy was the original talent that was pulled from the event. All WWE did was give him the ok...AGAIN to be there. Its not like WWE needed him so badly anyway

Oh....the way I read it I thought it was 6 or 7 people....I stand corrected
The only other person I was aware of was Torrie Wilson I believe but shes actually gonna be in the Diva Battle Royal. I dunno an doubt if it would of affected her match but w/e. Besides I feel Booker is trying to stay neutral while away from WWE in case one day he does end up going back he doesn't want any burned bridges cause of a charity event

This match would've been great if done right...they should have tried to pick some of the top Attitude Era Divas (Trish and Lita of Course...and then between Sable...nevermind she's pregnant, Jacqueline, Luna, Sunny, Debra, The Kat, Terri, maybe even Tori and Molly)......and of course they should have made sure the women are availabe before announcing the match...this Wrestlemania sounds terrible? What Happened?

Torrie Wilson, Victoria, Molly Holly and Sunny are all confirmed to be there, Trish is a possibility . As for the rest , some are pregnant (Sable) and some turned it down (Lita). I think they were under the impression this would be easier to pull off. Poor Sunny is fighting to get back in shape and she would of been with more time .

Im ok with not watching wrestling....but I still like all the stuff that goes on in between shows....

I've thought about the card, and the matches won't be all that bad.

Yes. Goofy buildup and all, the matches will probably be good. I think there have been worse looking cards going into a Mania recently (I don't think Wrestlemania 23's matches were that great overall, only three good ones (MITB, Taker/Batista, HBK/Cena).

The following is a note from the official Mickey Rourke website, UniquelyRourke.com: http://www.uniquelyrourke.com, the official Mickey Rourke website, has been updated with the following: "Wrestlemania 25 is this Sunday (April 5th). Site visitors have asked us if we will be in Houston to watch the event or watch the pay-per-view. Well the answer is NO to both. Our budget doesn’t warrant another trip or the PPV. So, we are going to be relying on those Rourke fans that have coughed up the dough for the trip or the PPV. Let us know what happens. I’ve been told the Chris Jericho match is the first match of the evening.. "

This is likely referring to the website crew not being able to cover the event live, as Rourke is scheduled to be involved in the Chris Jericho/legends match in some form or fashion this Sunday.

Hurm...I just read on an imdb forum (yes, not the best source, and they don't really have a link)that some WNW reader said that
Mysterio/JBL is the first of the night. Mysterio supposedly said it on the radio in Houston.
Makes more sense to me than Jericho being first. They had Less buildup, and they've opened Manias before, although seperately.

That never stopped Batista.

Since he worked there maybe he has a bit more insight than most.

Like I figured Orton would win, but for some reason Shane's betrayal slipped my mind as a contributing factor even tho I thought he would have joined them earlier on. Also how he brought up Stone Cold...even tho it's Texas, I honestly forgot about him showing up.

I don't agree with him on Edge tho, 2 heels winning/retaining the title at the same WM? Nah. I just don't see it. Plus there's the rumor that Edge is going to take a little time off for an injury.

I also hope he's wrong about Santino winning...but then again that match will be the low part of the show...so don't really care. Not like the win would go to Stratus anyway, probably to Taker's woman...I'd rather have Santino win than her.

I'm not sure I can buy Matt winning (even tho I want him to), but I do think the fued will carry on after WM.

MVP is an interesting pick for MITB winner.

That was a total waste of 2 hours.
