Brodus could have won this last year before he lost that weight...

Bottom line is it should be a big deal and very rare, not a weekly Raw occurrence where the IC or US champion is used as a jobber to the stars.

I completely agree. I'm from the generation where the Intercontinental champion could headline the B or C house shows for the WWF. If WWE ever wanted to run three shows on one day, an IC or US (or tag) title match should be prestigious enough to headline the third show.

Left for a second, come to see shades of Hercules vs Warrior tug of war.

I will also co-sign these statements. In fact, I was thinking earlier about how back in the day, the IC champion was not just the work horse, but also seemed like the guy who would eventually get to be the WWF Champion in a year or two, assuming they were able to carry the belt for a significant amount of time.

On The Air, it's your cue bro! :D

lol...sorry...had to take a phone call.

Cena seriously just call Maddox, Braden Walker?

The Wrestling Thread defeated Zeb Coulter earlier tonight

Even after Ricardo's hyping of the crowd, Del Rio comes out to no reaction. :lmao:

What a man that Cena is...

Cena is a real American, he'll fight for the rights of every man. Fights for what's right, fight for your life!

When you hurt his friends, and you hurt his pride. He's gotta be a man he can't let it slide!

Likewise and I really miss those days, which I guess makes us old lol.

The IC title headlined Summer Slam :(

Exactly, it was a prestigious belt in it's own right but also a testing ground to see if a guy had the potential to move up and be WWF champion.

This is so true. Even if they didn't end up getting a run with the WWF World title, being the IC champion helped them look like a legit threat.
