I still don't get the hype for Ambrose, he is in super average shape, not even good shape for WWE just like an average Joe.
I've seen nothing in ring that makes him stand out in WWE or whatever I can find on Youtube.
He might be good on mic but his overuse of the Ledger/Joker type, with the way he speaks just takes me out of the promo.

I'm actually with you. I just got back into watching Raw a week or two before WM, and I was just like "these are the guys people go on about?" I do agree that they are solid and are being booked well, but yeah, I actually don't like Ambrose on the mic like others do. I feel like his look/mic work, as well as Rollins' weird hairstyle, really don't fit the gimmick. Ambrose seems like he would fit a "wild card" (Brian Pillman, which people have been comparing him to) role more than a SWAT/police/enforcer/whatever he is supposed to be.

I've said it before and have said it again: even without having followed Cesaro on the indies, it's clear the guy has the raw makings of something special. His viciousness or ferocity so to speak is very impressive, and the guy genuinely can come across as someone who could manhandle you.

But the gimmick, good jesus, is horrific. He's like a Swiss version of Sandow but not even half as entertaining as the latter when he speaks down to the audience.

Cesaro is exactly why we need managers and/or stables back. I also liked Vlady Kozlov, but again there was a worker who was talented (he was good at the big-man game, IMO) but was missing just one thing that connected him to his audience.

I'm thinking back to the 1980s, and see guys like Hercules, Paul Orndorff, John Stuff, Volkoff (heck, I'll even throw Bret Hart and Bundy in there) as good workers who would otherwise have had a difficult time getting off the ground without a manager.

Arn would work well with Cesaro IMO. Or Striker who I still champion as a manager lol. As far s Cesaro goes I never watched him on the indes, but he has impressed me with what he ha done on tv. Guy is a great worker, with freakish strength. He does have a truly awful gimmick, though.

Currently we have The Shield, and 3MB as our only stables or i gues you can count Dolph/AJ/Big E. If you guys were to create a new stable, who would be in it? Would it be four guys or three? What would you call it? My only thing with stables is that the members of the group should not exceed the championships available.

What was the whole thing with bringing make a wish kids out last week. I've seen stuff like that done before. Usually it's not televised. I'm glad those kids got a moment , but it seemed odd WWE made a spectacle of it.
I'm guessing that its probably because that's what the kids wanted, since it was Make a Wish day. But aside from that, I was reading an article on IGN where they said they were hoping that when the contract with USA ends, they hope Raw goes back to a two-hour show because they somehow find a way to fill those three hours not just with commercials, not just from the regular ones you'd expect during a break, but also during the actual show. Whether its the Dominoes thing, or them plugging their new app, it just seems like they're spending more time advertising products than they are on actually matches or stories.

First of all, I would buy Jack Swagger a one-way ticket to Orlando. Then I'd take Zeb Coulter off TV for maybe two months, to give his character some "reset time."

Then, as a surprise swerve, Zeb comes back out as the new manager of: THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS! A definite mid-card shocker, it will help transition Zeb away from being a racist caricature, and some older fans may find some humour in it as well. The PTP become more serious and stop with the dancing, and yeah, start winning more too.

Then, in a match vs. an ad hoc tag team of Tyson Kidd and Ted Dibiase Jr., Titus and Zeb leave Darren to get beaten up and pinned. Then Titus, Tyson and Ted high five each other, because it was all a test to see if these guys had the right attitude Zeb is looking for.

Further down the road, Cesaro is revealed as the fourth member of this group. I'm not sure what they call themselves, but they are a group (Coulter, Cesaro, O'Neil, Kidd and Dibiase) that seeks to bring honor, tradition and competition back to wrestling. No more charity work, no more "pipe bombs," no more movies, no more woo woo woo: just wrestling. And they will cripple anybody who they think is an embarassment to the sport.

I'd have Punk and Lesnar as a two man power trip led by Heyman. Lesnar goes after the WWE Title much to the chagrin of Punk, but Heyman appeals to Punk's ego by telling him that the World Heavyweight Title needs him.

A title that was once prestigious has become a glorified mid card title, Punk capturing it would help elevate it back to where it belongs, much like what Punk did for the WWE Title. Well that's how I'd have Heyman pitch it to Punk anyway. :oldrazz:

PUNK: Paul, I really don't like holding this title.

PAUL: Whatya mean? This is one of the TOP prizes in the sport!

PUNK: Why does it have a big butterfly on it?

PAUL: Uh, because ... it means you can soar to new heights!

God dammit Pink! The Diva's Championship was never prestigious. :o

- In what can't be a good sign for Ryback getting over in the feud with John Cena, word from RAW is that he got zero reaction when he came out after the main event on Monday's RAW to show that he was still in the building.

- There were a lot of teary-eyed people backstage at Monday's RAW during the John Cena Make-A-Wish segment on the stage.

Ambrose oozes charisma, he's a natural on the mic, and while his move set might not be all that flashy, it's his mannerisms and psychology that sell it. IMO.

As for the Ledger/Joker type, he's been doing that longer than Ledger's casting.
I think many fans (myself included) see him as potentially filling the void left by guys like Flair, Piper and Roberts, none of them being particularly impressive physical specimens even in their prime, but very intense psychological performers.

And then they made him Yodel.

The "Dean Ambrose is just a Joker knock-off" excuse just makes me shake my head and laugh.

For those that aren't aware, Fire Pro Wrestling Returns is available to download on PSN as a PS2 Classic!! Probably the greatest wrestling game ever next to No Mercy. There's a group that figured out how to convert their PS2 saves, so I don't have to go crazy trying to created characters!

I can't wait to get the addiction going again.

tl;dr

The game play is very deep, difficult, and one of the most rewarding experiences.

Just letting everyone know that Fire Pro Wrestling Returns is now available on the PSN store as a PS2 Classic!

For those that don't know about the series, the game play is very deep, difficult, and one of the most rewarding experiences. Plus it has the deepest CAW mode.

Extra bonus is that a group figured out how to get their PS2 saves converted, so there's no need to get all those wonderful rosters again.

The addiction is back!
