Does it make me weird that out of all of the current generation of divas, I may find Kaitlyn most attractive? I really just got back into watching a month or so ago, and she is the one that kinda stays with me (well, her and AJ). I honestly don't even know if I could definitely pick the Bellas out of a line-up of similar looking women.

[BLACKOUT]The Playmaker is the default finisher debuting guys. Only person that made it look good was Elix Skipper.[/BLACKOUT]

It's one of those moves that is so clear a result of cooperation that I hate it.

Nice selections. I watched 50 Greatest Finishing Moves, CM Punk's DVD, and nWo Revolution on Netflix. All three are entertaining. The order of the finishing moves is hilarious. Some of it made me go, "There's no way this move is better than that one."

CM Punk's DVD is great. Curious to hear your thoughts about it.

WWE list sets seem designed for that very reaction, not just from fans but even people within the business.

I actually saw the Punk documentary on YT ages ago, it's the most real one I've seen from a WWE release, it doesn't feel like he's trying to sell you anything, just the straight truth even if it comes off harsh or cocky at times.

Agreed. I came up in the late 70s/80s, so in addition to what we've named, I watched a lot of Super Friends, Spider-man & His Amazing Friends, Battle Of The Planets/G-Force, Thundercats, Blue Falcon/Dyno-Mutt, Space Ghost, the Herculoids, Johnny Quest (loved reruns of 60s
Hanna Barbera action cartoons), etc. The stories don't always hold up, and yes, most 80s cartoons were designed to sell toys, but I still feel that there was a heart there that is lacking from a lot of today's animated series. (Or, I could just be a nostalgic old guy...lol) That being said, some of my favorite animated series of all time has been more recent efforts, particularly Justice League/Justice League Unlimited, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Young Justice.

I loved the Clone Wars as well, but like the best toons of the 90's it was based off a very established set of characters, the toons of the 80's created original characters and mythologies.

I actually want to see Cena/Taker. It would be HUGE box office, as Cena would be viewed as the first real threat to the streak. Further, the match hasn't been done in 10 years or so, since Cena's "Doctor Of Thuganomics" days. (Damn, I miss THAT Cena!)

I can see why people want it, I'm just so burnt out on Cena vs once a year guys at Mania as the main event.

As for the Rock, I'll always be a mark for him, but if he never wrestles again, I'm ok with it. That door doesn't need to remain open...just put him in the Hall of Fame and move on.

I think if they put him in the HOF next year and then had him come out and be interrupted by a young guy that led to a mic back and forth and a Rock Bottom that would be a fine way to sign off.

I'm with you...I generally prefer the smaller, athletic, ring general type of guys. While I was "a good little Hulkamaniac" when I first started watching wrestling in '84, I quickly discovered the NWA and became a Flair mark. So, my taste in wrestlers began to change, and I moved away from the muscle-bound heroes like Hogan into the workers like Flair, Arn, Tully and Savage. I was a big fan of Bret in his Hart Foundation days.

That being said, there are some muscle-bound/power-based guys who just have "it." Reigns is in this category...dude should become a huge star. All three of them should. WWE has something special here. As you said, each guy brings something unique to the group. I go back to the rumor of adding a 4th member. If they do that, it needs to be someone from NXT, and someone who brings something different from the other three. I'm not sure what that is, but he should compliment the current members, not copy any of them.

I feel the same as regards the powerhouse, I tend to prefer monster heels but I confess I was a Goldberg mark in 98, so I'm not anti a powerhouse face if they have that something extra in their presence.

As far as a 4th member of The Shield goes, I'm against it in general and agree it should be someone from NXT if they must add another guy. The only current roster guy I wouldn't object to is Cesaro.

I am terribly behind on my dvd collecting. I used to buy a lot of them on the day they were released, but I just haven't had the disposable income the last year or two. I'll get caught up, though! I want the Bret/Shawn set, the NWO set, the second Best Of Nitro set, the Punk set, the Clash of the Champions set and a few of the upcoming releases like the War Games and Mid South sets.

I'm behind as well, I need both volumes of the best of Nitro as well as Mick's new set and the Bret Hart Dungeon set.

Paige simply because she doesn't get enough love in this thread

Oh yes! It's a nice bonus that she can actually work as well, if they give her the chance.

- In what can't be a good sign for Ryback getting over in the feud with John Cena, word from RAW is that he got zero reaction when he came out after the main event on Monday's RAW to show that he was still in the building.

I think the problem is twofold, he looks like such a direct Goldberg rip-off and his heel turn has moved him into a feud with Cena too quickly, at a point where he's yet to get his heel character fully developed and where fans don't believe for a second that he has any chance of beating Cena this soon after Cena has won the title for the first time in 18 months.

I don't know how I feel about this:

WWE is currently advertising CM Punk for upcoming RAW tapings on 5/27 in Calgary, Alberta, 6/3 in Hartford, Connecticut and 6/17 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Punk is also listed for both WWE events in Tokyo, Japan on 7/4 and 7/5. He is not listed for a number of announced live events in the coming months outside of the Tokyo dates. Punk has been taking time off since his match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania to rest up some nagging injuries. There was also a major blowup between CM Punk and the WWE creative team several weeks ago.

While it is possible for plans to change, it had been reported earlier this week that Punk was not listed as being part of any WWE events through August. That no longer appears to be the case based on these updated listings from WWE.

It's one of those moves that is so clear a result of cooperation that I hate it.
It's actually not. The move is using your own momentum to execute, which throws the opponent.

That is a legit move. I've seen my Muay Thai/Grappling Instructor use it in competition.

I think they just ranked the wrestlers instead of the finishers. I mean, why was something like the Scorpion Death Lock ranked in the 30's, yet the Sharpshooter was ranked somewhere near the top 10. Same thing with there Five Star Frog Splash, and Eddie's Frog Splash. Similar moves, yet they were ranked far apart.

^^ awesome!!
Looks like I need a PSN card..ASAP!
Too bad they didn't implement online match functionality. That would have rocked my socks.

Haven't they done things like that before and then change it at the last minute?

Seeming like a fishing scheme to sell more tickets.

Any WWE Top lists are always hilarious.

The "Dean Ambrose is just a Joker knock-off" excuse just makes me shake my head and laugh.

I like his character work and it doesn't feel borrowed. It's been a while since we had a good wildcard type of character. I can't wait to see where it goes.

Just bought the blu ray of The Best of In Your House. Its time to take another exciting trip down the WWF's memory lane!

I'm watching it now  I just watched HBK vs Double J. It's a shame the IC matches don't seem important like they used to. The crowd came unglued when HBK won and there was even a celebration in the locker room (although it turned into a t-shirt commercial).

I'm guessing that its probably because that's what the kids wanted, since it was Make a Wish day. But aside from that, I was reading an article on IGN where they said they were hoping that when the contract with USA ends, they hope Raw goes back to a two-hour show because they somehow find a way to fill those three hours not just with commercials, not just from the regular ones you'd expect during a break, but also during the actual show. Whether its the Dominoes thing, or them plugging their new app, it just seems like they're spending more time advertising products than they are on actually matches or stories.

I just watch RAW in clips via youtube. Three hours is a long time and it makes mediocre segments and matches harder to sit though.

I really enjoyed Tough Enough hosted by Stone Cold Steve Austin. That should of been the "third hour".

One of my friends suggested that the 8-9 slot should be the Raw Pre-Show, where they can do all the recaps of ongoing storylines and other things that seem like filler on the show since then.

When it's used in wrestling you can clearly see the guy holding the leg and spinning himself, I'm sure the real thing doesn't look the exact same way.

so im hearing they did a movie called pro wrestlers vs zombies. cept most of them are on somas so they are.

It depends on who's on the receiving end of the move when it's executed. If you look at some Elix Skipper and MVP vids of them doing it, you'll notice it. Same goes for how it's sold. Some spin themselves, others don't.

And yeah, the real tings is closer to Elix Skiper's version, quick with less exaggeration.

WWE just made a deal with Yahoo.com to show content. Supposedly there will be a RAW pre-show.

I think we should have more sit down interviews. Similar to the stuff you see on UFC ppvs. They did a segment where superstars talked about Triple H vs Undertaker and Brock talking about his return.

- Regarding The Rock's future with WWE, Vince McMahon was asked if he's finished as a wrestler at the annual stockholders meeting on April 26th and blew it off like there was no way that's the case.

People close to Vince note that he believes Rock vs. Brock Lesnar will still happen at WrestleMania XXX.

As noted before, WWE wants The Rock to appear at Hell In a Cell this October from his hometown of Miami. That may be where they decide to do the angle between Rock and Brock.

- Lately there has been a lot of talk within WWE about bringing Bray Wyatt from NXT up to the main roster.

- We noted before that WWE is planning on bringing NXT TV to the United States this fall. Word is that SyFy may be the network to air the one-hour show.

There is also talk of bringing NXT matches to the RAW and SmackDown live event tours and billing them as NXT matches, to give the developmental talents the experience of working in front of larger crowds.

- WWE is now saying that John Cena's bruised Achilles heel injury took place on April 23rd at the RAW live event in Nottingham, where he faced Ryback in a Tables Match.

- We noted a few weeks back that MMA veteran Mark Coleman got upset at the April 13th UFC event in Las Vegas because UFC producers chose to show CM Punk in the crowd and not Coleman. Coleman reportedly wanted to fight Punk at the event.

Coleman contacted The Wrestling Observer Newsletter and was sorry about what happened. He said he was only trying to work on his image and was playing around. He added he has nothing but respect for Punk and said he was his favorite WWE performer.

- As noted before, the April 29th WWE RAW did a 3.06 rating with 4.28 million viewers. RAW was the highest rated show on cable for the night, going up against competition from the NBA and MLB.

In the segment breakdown, Ricardo Rodriguez vs. Zeb Colter vs. Big E Langston opened at a 3.10 quarter rating. Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton lost 10,000 viewers. Naomi vs. Brie Bella lost 136,000 viewers.

The Shield speaking plus 3MB coming out and then Kane and Daniel Bryan gained 431,000 viewers for a 3.31 quarter rating at 9pm. Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler lost 326,000 viewers. Backstage segments and the Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar video lost 175,000 viewers. Zack Ryder vs. Jack Swagger plus the Mark Henry tug-of-war segment gained 270,000 viewers. Henry vs. Sheamus in a tug-of-war gained 102,000 viewers for a 3.21 quarter rating at 10pm. These are weak numbers for that timeslot.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Antonio Cesaro lost 408,000 viewers. Fandango vs. The Great Khali in a dance off gained 44,000 viewers. Kane, Bryan and John Cena vs. The Shield in the main event gained 513,000 viewers for a 3.32 overrun rating, about average.

It's things like this that make me slap my forehead in disgust. That match was the best match of the night, better than most of the matches at WM, and involved the current WHC and the USC. Yet all those people turned the channel. If they don't want to see good wrestling, then why to they watch wrestling? I don't understand, and never will.

That match and Orton vs Rhodes were my favorite parts of the whole show, yet the dance contest is one of the segments that gains viewers.

Ugh I hate when viewers tune out during ALMOST all of the good matches.

The reason is that modern WWE fans need a reason to care about the match, what's it's purpose? what will be the aftermath? how does it forward either character?

If you look at Raw it had several good matches but they all lost numbers because they all meant nothing. I'm an oldschool wrestling fan and even I was bored because I knew that Kofi, the new US champion, was just being used as a JJTS, I knew Cesaro and Cody would eat mat, basically three guys who were put into cold matches as glorified enhancement talent, it kills interest in my view.

Yeah....

I don't see the attractiveness in the Bella Twins. But the Funkadactyls.....well that's different.

I guess it's taste but I don't like the Funkadactyls at all. The Bellas look a little rough these days.
