- According to WWE's latest monthly business figures report, Elimination Chamber has a preliminary buyrate of 210,000 purchases. The buyrate is based on the confirmation of Royal Rumble drawing 498,000 buys. The EC buyrate is up from last year's 178,000 buys and 199,000 buys in 2011.

- It was going around backstage that tonight's Impact Wrestling show sold out. The company has been very happy with the advance sales for their Impact tapings since hitting the road. [Credit: PWInsider]

I noticed they had a pretty good sized crowd tonight. It looked really good on tv and helps the atmosphere of the show a lot. Such a refreshing change from the Impact Zone.

They did a good job pushing that they were going on the road well in advance. Gave people plenty of time to find out about it and I think that really payed off in Chicago.

What were your guy's favorite storylines from wwf/wwe videogames?

For me:

Hulk Hogan & The Ultimate Warrior defeating The Legion Of Doom to become the WWF Tag Team Champions in WrestleFest.

The Rock defeating Stone Cold at Wrestlemania 17 in a Hell In The Cell match for the WWF Championship in Just Bring It.

Chris Jericho defeating Hollywood Hogan to retain the Undisputed Championship at Wrestlemania 18 then posing with him to the fans' delight in Shut Your Mouth.

Eddie Guerrero stealing The Undertaker's urn in Smackdown Vs. Raw 2006.

Sheamus, Wade Barrett, Drew McIntyre, and William Regal joining forces to become The United Kingdom stable. (Forgot which game)

If Rock and Lesnar are going to work extreme rules and Punk is going to rest, then I suggest they get Rock/Cena III out of their system.(Rock will have a rematch clause no doubt.) and Have Lesnar beat Orton. Lesnar will need a big win after losing to HHH and Orton is the biggest behind Punk and Cena. This can lead to a frustrated Orton who turns heel.

It's the reason I don't miss the Impact Zone at all.

This week's Impact was more like a transition because the next two Impact seemed to be more important. I can do without the Open Fight Night concept since they're on the road permanently.

It's also good to see Petey Williams back.

That crap wit HHH and Barrett was nothing more than an attempt to make HHH look cool and funny..especially after mocking Lesnar and challenging him. My thing is...was it needed at all? Heck no. They threw it in there justo do it. HHH vs Lesnar has already sold itself. Embaressing your IC champion and making him look like a jackass is stupid. It didn't even get Barrett good heel heat.

Unless Triple H is planning to work a program with Barrett it'll just be another tick on nostrils list of *****ebaggerry for his own self gratification.

I have to wonder if AJ's look and style has held her back now. She doesn't have the modelesque stature and she's not glamorous in the traditional sense. If Kelly Kelly had gotten over in the exact same way as AJ did I seriously wonder if WWE would have pushed her harder than AJ was and not bungled it. My gut tells me they would have done a far better job running with it.

I think it could be the size thing, she has the alternative appeal Lita had and when Ashley Massaro came along they were willing to run with it again but she never got over enough, but with AJ being so tiny I think they are unsure if people can buy into her as a fighter.

I always thought of McCool as queen beef. As far as road beef goes she was at the top of the pecking order by virtue of who she was with. Nobody would dare f*** with her.

The funny thing about McCool is that I've barely heard a bad word about her from any Diva shoots, most seem to feel she's been unfairl "Haitched" due to her being Taker's Missus.

Rock vs HHH in the Battle of Who Doesn't Have It Anymore and still think it's 2000? Could be fun.
:hehe:

As much as I like the Rock, I think I'd rather see him not come back.

Unless he gets in some cardio so his matches are better, maybe has a proper run with no films to get in the way. It's not like he will be not making money doing some WWE for a proper year.
Ditto. If he's not gonna be the Rock he used to be(or @least something much closer to it than what we're getting now) he's better off not getting in the ring again.

GiJoe 2 is better than the 1st, but that's reeeeeeeally not saying much. I give it a thumbs horizontal. Rza & the chick who played Jinx should never have talking roles again.

Hernandez is strong as a mofo.

Having a difficult time not tuning out whenever G.Bischoff is on TV.

really wish they'd offer lita a legends contract

Vader should have one more run, but as a part-timer where he can be the surprise opponent for guys, as a recurring character. Seeing Ziggler bump around for Vader would be awesome.

Lita could rejuvinate the Divas division, if they were serious about it, but they need to rebuild the division before they throw her in there. The New Age Outlaws still have something to offer the tag team division by putting some guys over.

Former WWE star Ken Shamrock recently appeared on Ring Rust Radio, and spoke on a number of topics, including a potential WWE return:

On a return to WWE and how winning the World Title would cement his legacy:
"Oh, definitely. I’ve tried to reach out, but I’ve been hitting some walls. I’m not sure if my messages are getting through or not. In my career, if you follow my career and watched everything that I’ve ever done from the time I was in high school to where I’m at now, I’ve always been able to reach the pinnacle. In football, I was able to win championships and go to bowl games in college, be an All-American linebacker and there were a lot of things I was able to accomplish. In my professional career, every time I jumped into an organization, I always reached the top and the title. I know with NWA with Jeff Jarrett, TNA, I was their first heavyweight champion, so I was able to reach that pinnacle. With Pancrase, I was their first champion and was also able to bring it to the U.S. using my character. I also reached the level in the UFC as a heavyweight champion, one of the first of all time, also rookie of the year, fighter of the year. I got into pro wrestling, I’ve got tag team champion, Intercontinental champion, King of the Ring. There were several times where I wished I had got that opportunity, and probably should have had that opportunity, to at least challenge for the Heavyweight Championship belt. I never got that opportunity, and I’m not sure why, but it is what it is. I will keep fighting to try and get that opportunity and close this thing up to be probably one of the only persons in sports history to go into several different organizations and become world champion in every one of them."

didnt he have a drug problem while he was in the wwf? (and was also a bit of a *****e backstage?) I recall someone giving a shoot interview stating that.

Ric Flair's 24yo son Reid Flair passes away!
http://www.pwinsider.com/article/76485/reid-flair-passes-away.html?p=1
"Reid Flair, the youngest son of WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair, has passed away, PWInsider.com has sadly confirmed. He was only 24 years old.
Reid was seen in the latter days of WCW, where both he and his father had heads shaved as part of an angle where Ric feuded with Vince Russo. Reid later began training as a pro wrestler under Bobby Eaton and George South, but personal issues, including a heroin arrest, sidetracked what was expected to be instant stardom for Reid, who had an excellent amateur pedigree.

At one point, he was slated to debut with Ring of Honor when the promotion was owned by Cary Silkin, but the arrest caused ROH to back off on those plans. That led to the beginning of the end of their relationship with Ric Flair.

Since then, there had been talk of Reid going to WWE developmental and the company had taken a look at him, but didn't sign him to a contract. He had worked in All Japan this past January and was slated to make appearances with Ric this weekend in Maryland.

Our deepest condolences to the Flair family during what can only be described as a tragic, sad day."

R.I.P.,May God be with the Flair family at this time.!!

Hulk Hogan and Sting had an intense verbal confrontation that almost resulted in a fight until security came in. They escorted Sting out of the building, but Matt Morgan interjected himself while they were doing that as he pointed out more Hogan's mistakes.

As for AJ Styles, he was doing what Sting did in 1996-97 as he was in the stands saying nothing while James Storm was on the mic. As Storm was trying to fight off the Aces and Eights, AJ left.

Condolences to Ric Flair's family with the loss of his son, Reid.

Sorry to hear about what happened to Reid Flair- I'm curious on the cause of death

I'm loving this dark AJ stuff so much,It's one rehash I don't mind in TNA!!

What do you all think of WWE '13? I was thinking of eventually picking it up. I used to love the games and would get them most years for PS and PS2. I think the last one I played was like '09 for X-Box 360.

Specifically, curious about the CAW and career/general manager/whatever modes.

Attitude Era is pretty cool and brings back memories. I haven't played online often since of the servers always having issues but since 2K has taken them over I don't know if they have improved.
The CAWs people create and upload are extremely impressive at times, the WWE Universe mode is okay, I think its pretty repeative at times though. I played Attitude Era for the most part and to me was worth it just for that aspect of the game.
