The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

Taker and Goldberg could have done serious damage to each other, from the clips I've just seen.

Need to hang it up now. Please.
I watched the match. They both dropped each other on their head/neck. It was some scary stuff. Taker looked so upset after it was over, like he was legit going to cry.

I'm not surprised Undertaker almost killed Goldberg. It was at WrestleMania 34 where he even struggled to get up John Cena for the Tombstone.

Undertaker should've retired years ago. This has to stop.

If you all want a real wrestling show free of BS, watch the Best of Super Junior final. It is easily a Card of the Year Candidate.

Also, the storytelling is there, it simply happens in the ring.
Honestly, I thought the card was decent enough coming up to the main event. I enjoy their meaningless tags, as they almost always have something fun in them. But the main event... my god the main event. It was worth staying up all night to watch it.

Will Ospreay is really coming into his own as a top guy.

He is already so good. I am a fan of the size he has put on. He did it, without losing what makes him so special. If anything, it might have added something to him. I also loved his promo after the match.

His rise over there reminds me a bit of Omega, which is definitely not a bad thing.

He does look like he's put on some mass like he's prepping for a heavyweight run. I don't think he's much longer as a jr heavyweight after this current run.

I'm reading (and seeing) that both damn near killed the other with their finisher. That Saudi money must be good.

Just a reminder to everyone who is a wrestling fan. You don't have to watch WWE.

AEW exists now. They debut on TNT this year. They have FYTER FEST running this month, and All Out in August.

If you have the internet, you don't have the excuse. You don't have to subscribe to WWE. You can subscribe to NJPW World and watch AEW and watch good wrestling for a change.

Stop COMPLAINING and START enjoying wrestling again.

It's rough... I haven't watched anything this year since mania, I'm done. But seeing those clips was tough, being a fan of both of those guys.

What are you done with exactly?
Wrestling, in general. I can't help but check the results / headlines every now and then but I've just stopped watching altogether.

When I say wrestling I've never watched anything other than WWE in some form, and I have tried to watch other things. Maybe my taste has just changed as I've gotten older? I don't know.

You can always watch other wrestling.

It's tough watching your favorites get old and slow down. I understand, but it's something all athletes have to deal with at some point.

Of course, Im not naive to that.

I just can't seem to find the joy in it that I used to, its somehow lost its magic, for me.

As I said, I'll probably always look out for results etc though. Old habits and all that.

Considering how Moxley/Ambrose and others have described Vince’s post-Attitude Era creative process and how entrenched it’s become, it might be fair to say that the product has changed a bit too much. I’m not talking anything drastic, but just more that as Vince got more and more insulated from the audience, the product just shifted further and further away from its strengths and more towards its flaws. The “Ruthless Aggression” era still saw enough of Vince’s strengths and enough running threads from previous eras to keep connecting, but its turned stale in the last few years, particularly recently.

I’d say it’s worth it to give other promotions (and NXT) a quick, casual perusal if you can.

When I mentioned wwe I did mean nxt as well, sorry I could have been clearer. Although that's clearly superior to the main roster no doubt. But I still look at the main line up and think they should be doing so much more, its like they have 10 x more athleticism but 10 x less psychology I guess.

I'm not sure about the vince thing, has he really lost it that bad? Guy was an innovator... Maybe when HHH takes over everything I'll try again and see if that makes the difference, but I think that people expecting nxt 2.0 on the main roster are being silly. It's a different thing all together.

I actually think some of the recent funk is as much the result of recent issues exacerbating others as it is long term problems, and Vince making just a few more crucial mistakes than usual. I mean, stuff like Kofi Kingston’s rise to the top heading in to Wrestlemania and them adjusting to Becky Lynch’s popularity show Vince and the ‘E are still quite capable of putting out solid content... but people still seem to have doubt they can keep up momentum, especially with stuff like the Wildcard Rule and Brock winning Money In The Bank.

I think Vince May just be incapable of connecting with audience *consistently* right now; he’ll connect with the audience on multiple ideas at multiple different times... but then disconnect and abandon them just as quickly. It’s exhausting for everyone, most likely: fans have issues with investing in anything to its fullest, talent feels like their running their head against a wall, Vince is driving himself nuts trying to figure out why the audience won’t just get the picture, etc.

As much as I have hope for AEW, I think the most likely outcome is that WWE eventually adjusts and holds off any real rivalry with its overwhelming resource advantage. I mean, stuff like the Brand Split should be a manageable way for ‘E to exploit its roster; no, going full NXT is unlikely, but if they’ve got the talent they have and get a bit smarter and more focused on their whole roster, they’ve got an insurmountable advantage.

I just think that right now Vince is suffering from a lack of faith in his roster being able to do what he thinks they need to, in part because of how controlling he is in the creative process, and simple stubbornness. I won’t say he’s incapable of changing, but I could see him firmly believing he has no reason to, and that the problem is everyone else.

I plan on watching both AEW and NXT. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. NXT is the only WWE programming I watch these days anyways. If there is a match on 205 Live that people are talking about, I will watch that match. As for NXT UK, I watch that whenever I can. Even if weekly NXT TV sucks, I still watch weekly NXT because I know what is going to happen when current NXT storylines finish. I know 100% that Takeover will be fantastic, so weekly NXT TV being meh for a week or two is something I can live with since the Takeovers I have watched since Takeover Dallas (which I attended) have been great. If next week's NXT TV sucks, to me that's okay, because I know Takeover Toronto in August will be fantastic.

Now if AEW is on the same day as NXT, I will watch AEW live and NXT on replay. I am perfectly fine with one hour of WWE programming weekly in the form of NXT.

That Supershow was extremely bad.
Like a really bad houseshow.

The wrestling is becoming more and more stale, repetetive and lackluster.
The storys lack fire and structure.
The Arenas show how less they care, they are without character or theme...just empty to present shows that could be normal weeklys.

It was bad, randy vs hhh and corbin vs rollins was good but for a supershow just bad.

The main event everybody talks about...yeah it was bad.
Until Goldberg hit his head on the ringpost(what a dumbass), the thing was decent and better than expected.
But after that it gone downhill fast and hard.
Undertaker 10 years ago could have carried a goldberg to a decent match, undertaker 2019 can not carry a probably concussed goldberg to a decent match.
I dont even blame them fully you know, i assume the ring was hot as hell and the air must have been pretty thick...considering a guy like rollins was breathing incredible hard early in his match.
Getting two old guys way past their prime into such a Ring is idiotic, that they are alive is almost a wonder.
Its a damn shame because they both deserve better than this...but they just can go the mile anymore.
Maybe with a younger guy having one last match...but then they both need to stop, they are done.

So yeah, supershow was bad...the WWE inches closer and closer to the WCW under Vince Russo...i fear the worst.

Impact Wrestling’s Plus event A Night You Can’t Mist was great with the Great Muta’s appearance.

On Friday it was two strikes against Pursuit channel when they aired last week’s Impact episode instead of the correct one.

The fans in both NY and Philadelphia were disruptive as they were thrown out by security.

That doesn't sound annoying at all...

Was tempted to go to those NYC Impact shows since they're recorded 5 block from my job but didn't have the strength to. Will be checking out the episodes when they air.

KENTA back to Japan. Now in NJPW!!!! An awesome night keeps getting more awesome.
