That's true. Retention can always happen. It's title changes that don't happen more than a few per card. When was the last time you can remember both top titles changing hands?

Off the top of my head I can't really think of any, but that's no reason it can never happen.

Plus having two world titles is stupid anyway, and this brand extension sucks and is a failure.

Does anyone like Takeover moving up an hour early? I don't mind it as long as we continue to only get 5 to 6 matches that range from solid to awesome. I think there will be some more call-ups, I don't know who those call ups would be though. I would have to think about it, but I see a big name on NXT being called up.

Pretty big. People reacted before he was even shown on the screen. How did we come across on the network guys? I felt that we were loud and into the entire show. That was a total package show IMO.

The Tag Match and NA Title match were both great.

The Women's Match was quite good as well, and Kairi winning was the right call. They needed to pull the trigger on her, Shayna had already beaten all the other top babyfaces, and with the MYC II coming up, it opens up more potential possibilities.

Velveteen continues to be really fun.

Gargano vs. Ciampa was good, but I still am having a bit of trouble buying this "Gargano hates him that much" storyline. Mostly it's because he beat Ciampa about as decisively as possible the first time, so there's not much left to prove after that (and he should point that out).

I feel bad that you have to sit there for what feels like 12 hours. This is what makes NXT so great, 5-6 matches that last 2-2.5 hours. Last night Takeover finished (for me) at 8:40 Central and for you at 9:40 Eastern, before 10 PM. Don't be surprised if Summerslam ends right before Midnight tonight.

Yeah I'm dreading that. The only bad thing about NXT Takeover Brooklyn 4 was that it ended. Most main roster ppvs u just can't wait for it to end. I've never been to one so i didn't want to pass it up.

Yeah to both. That 2nd match was pretty much a hint of what was coming with Takeover itself.

So this will be the first Summerslam since 2003 without John Cena.....that is weird.

Ideally:

-Samoa Joe should win, as he needs it far more than AJ does at this point and it could lead to some interesting stuff for AJ's character.

-Roman should win, and then Braun cashes in on him. It's time to pull the trigger on Braun.

-I want Becky to win, but sadly I feel like she's just been built up in order to lose in the big moment, you know like they always do with her.

-I suspect an Ambrose heel turn.

-Ronda should just squash Alexa with ease, that'd make the most sense.

-Etc.

But knowing WWE, very little of this will actually happen. They have a habit of overcomplicating things.

I see that the one complaint people have about Takeover is the pre-show. I get it because all it is talking segments and video packages, but I don't watch NXT Takeover pre-shows anyways, so I don't have any issues with it.
