The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

Two titles with the same name is incredibility dumb. Put another word in there.
Is it? One will be held by a man, the other a woman. Makes it pretty simple imo. I don't think it was necessary, but I am sure it will be fine. Becky mentioned wanting this to happen, so I am sure the women are in favor of it.

Bianca Belair not making your top ten Darth?
The competition is fierce. Only one Horsewoman made the list. No Kay Lee Ray, no Xia Brookside, no Piper Niven, no Isla Dawn, no Alexa Bliss. no Nikki Cross, no Peyton Royce (who has sadly disappeared). I just know I am missing a name or two, that will slap myself over later as well. The collection of talent is so impressive.

They gave him the North American title as a bone to fans. Could be worse for fans of his. We're not getting a good Rumble winner this year. No Lee, Riddle, or McIntyre. It's Cain or Roman. I'd even take Lashley winning and facing Brock but fat chance of that.
I think it is too early for Lee. But I do hope that we might get the swerve and McIntrye will eliminate Brock, leading to him taking the title off him at Mania. I know it is fools hope, but they are legitimately pushing him right now and a boy can dream.

As we did the women's list, how about a list for the men? Especially as this the start of a new year and the Rumble is right around the corner.

It's completely idiotic in my opinion. Everyone will refer to it as the women's title anyway in conversation. It's like WWE calling itself sports entertainment when it's never caught on as a term.

How is it idiotic though? They want to place the titles on the same level, and it seems the women want this to happen.

Thinking about it, when I am talking about the women's titles, I don't think I call them the women's title all that often if at all. I say who I want to be champ, or who has the belt, etc. I know what division I am talking about when I say it.

NXT Champion Adam Cole
NXT Champion Rhea Ripley

I know which is and I were talking about Io beating Rhea, I wouldn't be talking about the NXT Women's Title. I'd just be talking about the title.

WWE is copying UFC because in the UFC, Amanda Nunes is referred to as UFC Bantamweight Champion by the announce team rather than UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Valentina Shevchenko is referred to as the UFC Flyweight Champion, not the UFC Women's Flyweight Champion.

To me they are on the same level but if the women feel they need this then whatever. I don't like titles looking the same let alone having the same name but you have every right to like it. All titles should have a different name. Every. Last. One. Just my opinion.

I see the WWE's logic in trying to rename the titles as that's what the UFC does with their titles when the announcers announce the titles. Sure, the gender names are still with the UFC titles on their websites, but the announcers refer to all titles as UFC Championships and doesn't distinguish by gender. Bruce Buffer doesn't do it neither does the announce team for the most part.

I wish the titles all looked different, and had different names. I miss the days of the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Title. I hate that the two women's titles are branded by the show they are on. RAW Women's Title and the Smackdown Women's Title? Blah.

If you had the chance, what would you name the titles?

For me it would go something like:

Smackdown
World Heavyweight Title
Women's World Title
WWE Intercontinental Championship
World Tag Team Championships

RAW
WWE Championship
WWE Women's Championship
WWE United States Championship
WWE Tag Team Championships
WWE Women's Team Championships

NXT
NXT Heavyweight Championship
NXT Women's Championship
United Kingdom Heavyweight Championship
United Kingdom Women's Championship
United Kingdom Tag Team Championships
North American Championship
NXT Cruiserweight Championship

I'm the crazy person who wants the women and men wrestling in the same divisions at some point so what do I know ? Kill the concept of women's titles at some point. I used to buy into the idea of believablity years ago but now I couldn't give a crap about it.

Not a huge fan of intergender wrestler, but whatever.

Everyone gets really touchy about this subject. I don't see what women wrestling the men really accomplishes.

We as a society get so up in arms when we see depictions of women being harmed in media, but we also want women wrestlers to wrestle and beat up the men? But then shouldn't that mean seeing the women get hit and beat up too? Seems like a contradiction and conundrum to me.

I quite liked it in Lucha Underground myself. I know people have issues with it but I expect the women's wrestlers to push for it far more than someone like me, so it will happen one day I believe.

Not a fan of intergender either. I think it could work in WWE but they may have to go the comedy route to make it work.

I'd lose my **** in a good way if Cena won the Rumble this year. For me he's done enough since 2013 with his string of kickass rivalries to earn that 17th title reign. DO IT. DO IT NOW. That U.S. title run was insane! Greatest U.S Champion in WWE history. For real.

There are rumors that he's going to have a high profile match at Mania.....assuming the movie studios allow him.

Roman would be better than Cain. Talk about worst Rumble winner ever, if it happens.

The world has to wittiness the legendary Britt Baker promo on Dynamite though I'm serious. First amazingly awful promo of the decade. Darth, you must watch it.

Finn/Ilja was rather good. Though you could tell that the audience just wanted Finn to win and nothing else. The slow walk to Finn/Johnny continues.

Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne are already an all time odd couple. That promo was so good. :funny:

Riddle is such a star.

DIY vs. Moustache Mountain... :mrk: :mrk: :mrk:

Two of the best themes in pro wrestling, two of the best tag teams in pro wrestling history. I like how properly big this match feels. Also love the new DIY shirt.

Also Devlin wins the CW title after a great four corners matches. Really good show so far.

Fantastic tag match. :atp:

The Tegan/Dakota segment got me so hyped. :hehe:

Loved that the crowd was into it, and wanted them to keep fighting. Good booking HHH! :D

What a main event!!! The crowd was there for Walter, and he along with everyone else delivered. Shame what happened to Wolfe early on, and I really hope he is okay. He took that kick right on the chin. Everyone did their part. I love how much of a little street gang hoodlum O'Reilly is.

Toni Storm matches have the weirdest ending sometimes. They come out of nowhere.

Those dudes beat the hell out of each other! Damn! AND we have a Takeover in 3 weeks! I'm Feeling spoiled with NXT right now.
