The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

I follow everything man I know it all comes down to Vince and his decisions. And like I said and you said some of the roster and creative are trying. But you can’t not think that some of them are also just happy to be there for the paycheck and yes men. Because like you said you can’t speak your mind in this company or you’ll feel Vince’s wrath. Trust me I know what you’re saying and I follow and I’m saying the same thing man.

It’s just sad and aggravating to see things the way they are right now in this company. Everyone deserves better from the team behind the scenes to the roster to us fans. But as long as Vince is still breathing we won’t be getting change anytime soon.
What is a yes man to you? Doing what they are told? That's their job. It would be like assuming Finn Balor was a yes man collecting a check because he was doing what he was being told to do. Of course that is nuts, considering once he moved over to NXT, he showed he is still one of the best in the world. Was he suddenly no longer just there for the paycheck, or was he simply finally given a platform to perform again? How should Ricochet handle things? Yell at his boss? Shoot on his next opponent? Walk out? All are completely unprofessional and would end up with various punishments that would make their time there harder, or even potentially prolong it.

There are definitely guys and gals there who like their position better then others, and guys and gals I don't consider all that talented or creative. But that doesn't make anyone not a hard worker. They all take the crumbs an chances the get, and try to make the most of them. I don't like Lacey Evans or Dana Brooke, but they do their best with what they are allotted.

I wish the other notable companies were being harped on as much as WWE. They deserve it in my opinion. Oh wow another good match I don't see that anywhere ever. I'd be shocked if anyone puts together three months of largely good storylines though . No one has all the elements that make wrestling great honestly.

Damn, even I have to say that one-legged animal print number that Sasha Banks had on made me question my sexuality.

Then I saw a commercial for Total Bellas, and that reconfirmed my sexuality. Who says that show doesn't do any good?

Xavier Woods is on Twitch and Ember Moon recently announced she was coming soon to Twitch as well.

Yeah i dont know if that will work.
You can definitly do a show no problem, but a ppv level event? I dont know.
The WWE already "needs" to rely on showing a full royal rumble to fill the time of a weekly.
I dont know how they could do a full show.

I mean you can do edge vs orton as some kind of empty arena brawl, some said you could do styles vs Undertaker with green screen stuff...same with Cena vs the fiend...but for the most part i dont know how the hell you can pull a satisfying WM off.

Taping it is a good idea imo, tape the thing and then let the people go home to their familys...take a break like the rest and start with fresh new ideas etc when this all is over.

This is the turd on top of the garbage sundae. The empty arena shows have been boring outside of AmDrag/Gulak vs Fidel Generico and crew.

I've been to shows with a crowd maxing at 30 and it still made a huge difference. They're better off not running at all.

I personally thought this WrestleMania was going to be pretty great actually. The 6 pack challenge annoys the hell out of me though . Should have been Bayley vs Sasha one on one. Goldberg vs Reigns is going to be garbage but the rest of the show looked great to me.

This is probably going to be WrestleMania 9 or WrestleMania 11 level now though. No audience is just going to kill this.

I wonder how angry Vince McMahon will be if he has to go through this again when Summerslam comes around. If I had to guess if Summerslam is going to happen, I am going to be optimistic and say it's 55-45 that it will happen as it normally does. Right now, I am going to say that there's a 70% chance Survivor Series happens as normal. Now all that can rapidly change from now to August. But I would think that Vince McMahon sees this as a minor bump in the road and it will be back to normal by Summerslam.

My guess is Vince is going to go ape-sh*t with the spectacle for SummerSlam if society has normalized.

For those complaining about how terrible Wrestlemania is going to be, I ask "What you rather they do?" It's not like their is an abundance of other athletic competition on the TV.

Vince will go absolutely bonkers if the virus forces him to cancel Summerslam. I don't think he wants to do that.

Yep. I have been missing sports something crazy. No soccer, no basketball, no hockey, no March Madness, no F1. This is usually one of my favorite sports times of the year, but instead we have nothing going on. It isn't ideal, but I have really enjoyed having wrestling to watch. I can forgive the lack of crowds, for some action. Does that mean I am happy about WM being at the PE? If course not. These workers deserve the big stage. I want to see Drew conquer the Beast in front of 70,000. For Sasha to finally get that big PPV win, where everyone can shower her with the love she deserves. To see Rhea establish herself with the thousands of cameras going off. I mean, we are about to get Bryan vs. Zayn and the Fiend beating Cena at a WM. Why wouldn't I want all the smarks there? But there are really either two options. You either do it and keep going, or you just stop the WWE until you can have crowds again. And that is not something I want.

What I hope is they go crazy with it. I posted some stuff a few pages back, about being excited for this and why. I don't expect them to actually do any or those. But if they do give into the nature of the show, a lot like how Miz and Morrison did on Smackdown, this could be a bit of a time capsule show.

Nah. Too many good workers.

WWE might have to take a break though as they have nothing planned for after Mania. What I would do is I would use the week after Mania to continue taping at the PC for at least 2 months. This way, should live crowds return again before the two months are over with, the WWE can scrap the remaining taped episodes and it can go live again. The WWE is probably hoping that if they can't do full arena shows again for a while, that they tape at the PC with a limited crowd of 50-100 people. That is what I think the WWE is hoping for come June or July.

0% chance Money in the Bank happens. I give Extreme Rules a 40% chance of it happening because that one is in July. As I said earlier, for me there is a 55% chance of Summerslam happening as planned.

All of this

I saw the Dark Side of the Ring S2 premiere episode on Chris Benoit. Anyone who watched the first season needs to give this a look.

I just watched it too. It's rough going through all of this again, that was such a dark time to be a wrestling fan.

I'm guessing Benoit's daughter wanted nothing to do with this? It's weird that she's kind of erased from the narrative as his son is talking.

I can understand why, it's a tough subject to talk about. Also, I think she's even younger than David, so she was even younger than him when this happened, and he was like, what? 14-15 at the time. Couldn't have been much older than like 10-12. Not sure exactly how old she is now, but the other side of her family might've kept her away from it.

Another person we never hear much about is Benoit's ex.

What is AJ up to these days. For some reason I always thought that she would return to the ring.

She did an interview in November where she basically just said Never say never about a return.

I wouldn't be surprised to see her in a future rumble
