The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

I'm sure the WWE could do it too as long as they don't travel.

They can do it, that's fine. My issue is that AEW should not get a pass from criticism for doing the same thing that WWE is doing. Both either should be equally praised for giving us a distraction for a few hours weekly, or be criticized equally for doing live wrestling during a pandemic. AEW should not get a pass and WWE should not be criticized for doing the same thing.

Tonight's Smackdown is all about 25 years of Triple H. You can be assured I'll not be watching. I've never cared for him as a talent.

The way I screamed laughing at this lmao.

But same here. To be honest, I only became interested in Trips when Chyna came to ringside and started beating up on the guys. And then I only cared about her during his matches.

But obviously he’s done alright for himself becoming a McMahon.

I've always found Triple H 'meh' as a individual talent. I did enjoy the Attitude era DX stable though

So I ended up catching a bit of Smackdown. Looked like Michael Cole was about to get another Heidenrich moment with Sheamus.

I liked the Forgotten Sons on the main roster. I'd also like to see Lucha House Party get a run with the tag belts.

I think they didn't take the Forgotten Sons far enough as heels in NXT. I'm a fan of the group and want to see them succeed.

Aleister Black is my prediction for MitB winner.

I loved Triple H when he was wrestling. Saw him in person a couple of times.

Except for his backstage politics, i always liked Triple H.
I liked this themes, his entrance, his moveset, the way he sold moves...his whole attitude and all.
A bit less selfish would have done so much for him.
Im still so salty that they had him beat Booker T at WM, that was such a dumb decision.

Yup, they are a cool group...its a shame they didnt do more with them.

At the moment, yeah i go with Aleister.
Could see Daniel Bryan but he seems a unsure number considering the rumors that he doesnt want to work as much and especially during these times.
So Black ist the best bet imo at the moment...i would like that.

I wanted them to really go deep with the forgotten portion. Focusing on PTSD, having their finisher called the Shellshcked, and hiring Chris Melendez from TNA as a guy who lost both his leg and his mind from his service. Show how hard it can be to reacclimate to society after serving.

Them slowly build them up into faces by having them accepted over time facing teams like the Grizzled Young Veterans and others than can allow them to transition.

Triple H was a great heel, but, I gotta agree, I wasn't a fan of him burying Booker T and Chris Jericho. That coloring my impression of him ever since.

I agree. Even though AEW has been taking these long breaks, they are still taping and running events. Meltzer has been very lax in his criticism of AEW but his attitude is basically **** you Vince McMahon and Dana White.

I don't think forgotten sons were ever going to get over as faces on nxt. The nxt crowd is very smark heavy and the forgotten sons stable gets a meh/dislike reaction from most smark fans online

It's because he's likely on AEW's payroll. I enjoy AEW better than WWE, but they should not get a pass doing these shows just because they are the hip, cool new promotion. It makes people who bash WWE and yet praise AEW for doing the same thing as hypocrites.

I don't think he's on AEW's payroll. I think AEW simply caters more to his sensibilities, which I understand. It does to mine as well. Not to mention, he's friends or at least friendly with the people in charge, Young Bucks, Cody, Omega, etc. Young Bucks named their finishing move after Meltzer.

When you've watched WWE's declining product for so long, AEW feels like a breath of fresh air. I think that's what's influenced his coverage and not being AS critical for AEW.

I'm sure he's got a number of sources in AEW as well.

From the vault I bring you Skinner!

Random thought but Buggy Nova would have been good as Sister Abigail.

Anyway I need some new quarantine viewing. Give me your top 5 matches of the following, please.

Aleistar Black
Adam Cole
Andrade
Cedric Alexander
Ricochet

@DarthSkywalker you like lists. Do your thing.

Andrade v Gargano in NXT. All of them. In order.

Not gonna lie, I said a little prayer for Asuka and Shayna when I realized they had to compete against Nia with a ladder involved.

25 years in WWE for Triple H. Not many people knew he started in WCW for a year in 1994-95, where I first saw him as Terra Ryzing and Jean-Paul Levesque when he teamed up with Lord Steve Regal aka William Regal.
