I can't stomach WWE's product and presentation but I've been keeping an eye on Bron Steiner as he makes his way through NXT, why have they changed the black and yellow colour scheme and made everything look like a box of crayons have been vomited inside the arena?

At any rate, can't believe they've thrown this match away like this... and they've hotshotted using Rick for an NXT angle instead of waiting until he's on RAW or SD where it could have been with a top star.

So honest question for you guys: Is there anyone you like in any promotion who you would find hard to believe would ever be a world champion? I ask this because there has to be a guy you like that you think "I like him a lot, but world championship material he's not" or are all of your favorites deserving of a world championship? I have quite a few on the list of wrestlers I like, but not world championship material. New Japan's Toru Yano is one of mine. I really like him a lot and he's one of my favorite New Japan guys, but he's not world championship material. Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, Minoru Suzuki and Hiromu Takahashi are all World Championship caliber guys who are also my favorites in New Japan. Yano is a solid mid card hand. I am sure that there's someone in AEW that you guys like that you really like but should never be World Champion and to me that's Colt Cabana. If all of your favorites are deserving of a world championship that's fine, but that's not me. I have favorites who are not world championship material in all promotions I watch regularly (WWE, AEW, Impact and MLW).

Sunny strikes again and unfortunately what she did this time had fatal consequences:

Ex-WWE star Tammy Sytch suspected of DUI in fatal crash

They should lock her up and put her under the cell.

She should. WWE won't remove her from the WWE Hall of Fame. Now WWE deserves criticism for that, but in real sports hall of fames, there are Hall of Famers who have done as bad as she has, with the most notable example being:

This doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth given there were plenty of contradictions in Kimber Lee's claims, both by herself and others. It took a photo taken by some dumb kid 6 years ago, that she inexplicably held onto for far too long of her own partner, to get him fired.

I read a rumour that he potentially has her bang to rights for a defamation case and I hope so. Don't care if I get flack for this, needs to be said. Unreal reaction from a company that held onto Velveteen Dream as long as they did.

Seems like he might have been canned not due to the allegations but rather a dumbass photo he took looking like Hitler saluting.

I read that on wrestlingnews.co. But take everything with a grain of salt.

So Sammy and Tay mocking one of the great invasions of privacy in pro wrestling history isn't going well? Shocked. The reported reactions from this coming Rampage sound vicious. Good for Boston.

WALTER is going up, and what happens in NXT has no bearing on the main roster. It's like it never happened.

Interesting, I figured the first 4 even though I'm not sure about Bianca beyond her physical gifts, and Liv has really progressed but not sure she'll ever get a strong push. Rhea could be a fantastic monster heel, like a female Road Warrior if booked right. Ronda's return seems to have ran out of gas early with an ill judged hand slapping face push and if she's already upset at not going on last I'm not sure she'll be there beyond Summerslam. With Alexa, I liked what I saw of her title run when she was doing the Goddess stuff, she was great on the mic but in the ring she's mid as a worker and looks like she'd struggle to punch her way out of a paper bag, her current gimmick is just ultra stupidity. I think Charlotte needs to go away for a while, let fans appreciate what she actually brings, absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that jazz.
To be clear, I'm not talking about talent/skill. I am talking about star power. Charlotte is probably the third best worker in the company behind Io and Becky. Just ahead of Bayley and Asuka. Asuka has slowed down a bit, which makes sense considering her age.

Rhea will be a great heel, but she'd be a much better Hogan style face imo. She's an overwhelming force, who is incredibly likable and has a great look. Fans really, really like her, and if they pushed her properly, she could be the face of the division the way Becky is now.

Bianca is incredibly likable and has a fantastic look. Fans have really connected to her. Her biggest issue is she can't talk all that well, which I feel like causes her feuds with anyone other then Becky to fizzle out. Still, she's way over.

Ronda is a main stream star and the general audiences dig her for that. But she also got the poison pill of feuding with Charlotte. Still, she sells tickets and people tune in for her.

Liv feels a bit like Becky before she broke out. She isn't as skilled or talented as Becky, but the fans are just waiting to get behind her. I'd put her in a feud with Charlotte for the title and let her actually go over. I think it would go over very well.

Alexa got one of those prolonged monster pushes and made the most of it. She's instantly recognizable to the fanbase and many outside of it.

You watch more non WWE/AEW than I do (I basically don't at all), so I'm not sure you mean slowed down from Japan or even NXT, but she's been out with injury for awhile and now she's just sitting at home because they don't know what to do with her because she can't cut a promo in English.. In WWE, if you can't talk & they can't find a manager to talk for you (they barely use managers anymore anyway) then you don't get pushed or very rarely do... I've always found her a bit overrated (I first saw her in NXT) but I agree, she's very over with the fans so you can put her in the star category for that...

Rhea will be a great heel, but she'd be a much better Hogan style face imo. She's an overwhelming force, who is incredibly likable and has a great look. Fans really, really like her, and if they pushed her properly, she could be the face of the division the way Becky is now.

I mostly agree, only minor disagreement is that I think she'd be a better heel because her promo ability is kinda shaky, so just being mean and angry all the time fits her promo ability better IMO... Though I absolutely think she could pull off face or heel... She definitely should be further up the card as a solo act, they had momentum with her when she wrestled Charlotte but they squandered it as usual... More on her in a minute...

Bianca is incredibly likable and has a fantastic look. Fans have really connected to her. Her biggest issue is she can't talk all that well, which I feel like causes her feuds with anyone other then Becky to fizzle out. Still, she's way over.

My personal biggest issue with Bianca is that she doesn't do much besides power lifts and tumbling/summersaults... The other issue with her is that I think her gimmick & catchphrases are SUPER repetitive, at least for me anyway... That said, she's good at what she does do in the ring & while she's not a great talker, "hot take", I think she's arguably just as good on the mic as say a Sasha or a Bayley, who I think are both wildly overrated on the mic... And yes, fans wise, she's well over with the fans... Though I do think, and maybe it was just the crowd the other night but she got a mild reaction to her Championship celebration promo for the most part... Like I've said, babyfaces are always more over with the crowd during the chase, we'll see how this Title reign goes, I feel she might be in for some rougher waters keeping the fans interested with her repetitive gimmick...

Ronda is a main stream star and the general audiences dig her for that. But she also got the poison pill of feuding with Charlotte. Still, she sells tickets and people tune in for her.

Ronda is Ronda, she has a name that makes her valuable... Still think she should be a heel and get her buddy Shayna more involved because she's wildly underused... Shayna should be a Top heel but she can't talk so Vince might never give her a push...

Liv feels a bit like Becky before she broke out. She isn't as skilled or talented as Becky, but the fans are just waiting to get behind her. I'd put her in a feud with Charlotte for the title and let her actually go over. I think it would go over very well.

I can see the timeline comparison and floundering around like Becky was, I agree... She needs her "moment" or a hot angle, like Becky getting her nose broke by Nia... I think the main reason why Vince hasn't pulled the trigger on her is because not only is she very weak on the mic but she also looks completely terrified every time she cuts a promo (too much cry face)... Again, no promos, no push from Vince 90% of the time... She's not great in ring, but she's definitely good enough and getting better all the time, she's gorgeous and blonde like Vince likes, so she has everything he's looking for except the promos, I think that's what is holding her back with Vince...

So, with her and Rhea, I think they should go for a Shawn Michaels/Diesel style relationship with them, except a babyface version since Liv is over and Rhea would be if they hadn't booked her into oblivion (her crowd reactions have been perking up lately though)... I think in terms of the Women's Division they might be able to pull it off, the only issue is they're both not that great at promos, so that could trip it up a bit, but in the woman's Division they're OK enough on promos to do it in comparison to most of the other woman's promos not being all that great either... I think it would be a perfect way to use them if they're gonna be together long term... Because Shawn/Diesel would wrestle solo almost as much as if they weren't together, but also team whenever needed... That's what they need if they stay together... More equals/friends than a traditional tag team...

Alexa got one of those prolonged monster pushes and made the most of it. She's instantly recognizable to the fanbase and many outside of it.

Alexa is the best talker of the women IMO, or maybe 2nd to Becky (I lean Alexa for consistency, Becky can be a bit up and down at times on the mic to me)... But I've been hearing rumors that Alexa is considering leaving wrestling... She asked for her release at one point because of social media harassment getting to her (Fiend gimmick/only hot can't wrestle), they gave her time off instead, she's only done the Saudi Elimination Chamber since then... We'll see how that goes, because I feel like if she trends back towards something similar to her Goddess gimmick, she can be incredibly valuable to the Women's Division due to her great promo ability and she's solid enough in the ring to make things happen with the mic skills she has...

Sunny strikes again and unfortunately what she did this time had fatal consequences:

Ex-WWE star Tammy Sytch suspected of DUI in fatal crash

They should lock her up and put her under the cell.

It was just sadly a matter of time, it was either she kills herself or kills someone else.
Why she isnt locked up right now is beyond me.

Seems like he might have been canned not due to the allegations but rather a dumbass photo he took looking like Hitler saluting.

I read that on wrestlingnews.co. But take everything with a grain of salt.

I would assume its because of both and the WWE doesnt want to take any chances.

They will forever be questioned why they held onto guys like velveteen dream for as long as they did, so maybe the act now sooner rather than later.

The strange thing is that so far i have nobody seen that denies the Domestic Abuse on Kimber Lee, but somehow still try to make her look like the wrong one here.
But as usual with such cases, its a very unclear situation.

What i dont get is why people still find it "funny" doing nazi gestures, shaving a hitler mustache etc...what is funny about that and even more so that you feel like taking a photo of it?

You watch more non WWE/AEW than I do (I basically don't at all), so I'm not sure you mean slowed down from Japan or even NXT, but she's been out with injury for awhile and now she's just sitting at home because they don't know what to do with her because she can't cut a promo in English.. Yep. I assume they decided to wait for post--Mania returns for Bayley, Asuka, Alexa and Lacy Evans (she returns tomorrow).

As for Asuka, I was talking from her Japan/NXT/Early Main Roster days. She moves a bit slower, a bit sloppier, and had blown up a few times in matches. Perhaps she just needed some time off. She had more then a couple of injuries she was dealing with, so maybe she's comeback rejuvenated. Either way, still love her.

I definitely get you on the mic stuff. I also believe you and Hunter will get your wish. They are setting her up to turn on Liv imo. Probably to feud with Bianca.

I think this is all pretty accurate and has to do with how much of a WWE product she is. There is a lot of the classic, "WWE branding" about her repetition. But I think you can see her potential when she's in there with Becky, Sasha, Bayley and Charlotte. Wrestlers who challenge and guide her to mix it up. I was super impressed by her match Mania with Becky.

Ronda is Ronda, she has a name that makes her valuable... Still think she should be a heel and get her buddy Shayna more involved because she's wildly underused... Shayna should be a Top heel but she can't talk so Vince might never give her a push...
She should 100% be a heel. But I think she's too thin skinned to be one. I feel like she thinks it will effect her outside of the company as well. Her "real world" gimmick is that of badass superwoman. Why she took her MMA career failings so hard.

I feel like there was a time where Liv would end up being too much like Alexa, but she's done a good job of carving out her own path. No thanks to the WWE. She's prime underdog babyface material, and with the right opponents has shown she can properly go. She's still rather young, so she's going to grown. Just need to invest in her imo.

I definitely like the idea of the Two Dudes with Attitude angle, though I wish they would do that with Dakota and Raquel on the main roster. But they are apparently calling up Raquel on her own.

Alexa is the best talker of the women IMO, or maybe 2nd to Becky (I lean Alexa for consistency, Becky can be a bit up and down at times on the mic to me)... Alexa is apparently getting married soon, so that could be a part of her time off. I wouldn't be surprised if she left, but I hope she doesn't. Love her. Speaking of marriage, Corey and Carmella tied the knot today, and look who was there:

Mox looks so happy to be there. :hehe:

What I took from his partner's wife, is that she was claiming Kimber was emotionally abusive and full of it in general. Kimber has changed her story multiple times, saying he physically abused her but was too drunk to remember, to that he was just emotionally abusive, that nothing happened and they were getting back to together, and then back to he's physically abusive. So, I don't know. Her posting the photo and saying he's super anti-LGBTQIA+ felt vindictive as hell though, and her attempt to get him fired, after no one was buying what she was originally selling.

From what Meltzer was saying, people in the WWE are sympathetic to him when it comes to Kimber Lee. That she apparently started posting all this after he started dating again and she got the divorce papers is definitely awkward timing. I have no idea what happened, but that added to her photos which don't really show what she says they do, mixed with her story and the issues she's had in the business, and I can see why this is so unclear.

As to the Nazi stuff, apparently it's from at least 7 years ago, when he was 20. I understand dark humor, especially with young dumb kids, but to make a record of it is certainly a decision.

This doesn't leave a good taste in my mouth given there were plenty of contradictions in Kimber Lee's claims, both by herself and others. It took a photo taken by some dumb kid 6 years ago, that she inexplicably held onto for far too long of her own partner, to get him fired.

WWE are highly inconsistent with these things, like right now Ric Flair is seemingly black balled for the "plane ride from hell" accusations but they still work with Hogan, Angle and Austin as well as having an award named after the Warrior who was a hateful, repugnant human being, the worst of the lot.

WALTER is going up, and what happens in NXT has no bearing on the main roster. It's like it never happened.

It's the same company though, and he's only been in NXT 5 minutes.....I'll never get the changes in the business. :funny:

To be clear, I'm not talking about talent/skill. I am talking about star power. Charlotte is probably the third best worker in the company behind Io and Becky. Just ahead of Bayley and Asuka. Asuka has slowed down a bit, which makes sense considering her age.

Obviously i don't watch WWE and I know fans hate Charlotte the person, but as an outsider looking in, from what I've seen Charlotte, Sasha and Becky look head and shoulders above the rest when it comes to looking and carrying themselves like stars. I loved Asuka when she was Kana in Shimmer, not seen her NXT/WWE stuff.

Rhea will be a great heel, but she'd be a much better Hogan style face imo. She's an overwhelming force, who is incredibly likable and has a great look. Fans really, really like her, and if they pushed her properly, she could be the face of the division the way Becky is now.

Again I can only go off very limited exposure to Rhea, she is definitely unique and I mentioned the Road Warriors as comparison and they spent 95% of their careers as faces, I was just thinking with Bianca and Sasha as faces and Becky likely to turn face soon, Rhea's best route to the top right now is as a monster heel to go against them, and from the Raw report I read it looks like she's going to turn on Liv when they get their illogical title shot next week, which is a shame in itself given they've just started teaming, as from bits I've seen Rhea and Liv could have had a decent run as tag team champions before splitting, their dynamic stands out.

Bianca is incredibly likable and has a fantastic look. Fans have really connected to her. Her biggest issue is she can't talk all that well, which I feel like causes her feuds with anyone other then Becky to fizzle out. Still, she's way over.

Gotcha, I think from what you and DOBSON were saying her cookie cutter performance centre style work is why she doesn't stand out for me bar her build and look, she's an impressive athlete.

Ronda is a main stream star and the general audiences dig her for that. But she also got the poison pill of feuding with Charlotte. Still, she sells tickets and people tune in for her.

I wonder what the shelf life is on that though, she seems really limited so the more she's seen the more exposed she becomes and less special she'll feel.

Liv feels a bit like Becky before she broke out. She isn't as skilled or talented as Becky, but the fans are just waiting to get behind her. I'd put her in a feud with Charlotte for the title and let her actually go over. I think it would go over very well.

Charlotte would be the ideal opponent to put Liv over, it's whether Liv can get through the Rhea feud without being squashed.

Alexa got one of those prolonged monster pushes and made the most of it. She's instantly recognizable to the fanbase and many outside of it.

Outside of it? Moreso than Charlotte? Alexa seems to have had a hard time lately, the whole stuff with her fiance, if she stays in wrestling she might be best as a manager, for instance imagine her as Heyman to Rhea's Brock?

FTR vs The Briscoes at ROH Supercard of Honor was a very good match but I didn't rate it as highly as Cornette and Last did, yes the Briscoes are very raw and real but both teams ignored the 5 count and 10 counts all match, and there was too much time with all 4 guys in the ring Imo.

Dynamite was another decent show this week, the Twiggy Cole vs Christian Cage match that kicked it off was a solid opener, we've seen the best side of Cole the last 2 weeks when he's not been in there with his buddies or the Gooftroop. Christian kept Cole's worst tendencies at bay and they had a good pro wrestling match without any BS and a clean win for Cole. The post match promo from Page had some base to it and it's interesting that their rematch will be on Rampage, but why another Texas Death Match? It doesn't suit these 2 guys and Hangman just had one with Archer, and it sucked, they don't even use the proper rules for one, it's basically just a hardcore match in AEW under a cooler name.

It was great to see Joe again, he's still a badass! I've not seen any of Joe since the clips of his stuff with Brock a few years ago bar his NXT title win over Karrion Kross. Joe mowed through Caster like he should and progressed in the Owen Hart Foundation tournament and a feud with him and Jay Lethal is an ROH throwback with lots of history that should be good.

The MJF/Wardlow stuff was fine as a building block in their feud and Eddie Kingston's "from the streets" promo was there and it was noticeable that they didn't mention Hager in the "On sight" silliness, I'm sure this feud is leading to some big cluster**** multi-man hardcore brawl nonsense, which is a shame as I really liked the Jericho/Kingston match at Revolution. The Blackpool Combat Club promo setting up the matches for Rampage was ok but I'm not a fan of how this angle is marginalising Danielson.

Jadeberg's promo was decent, she seems to actually get it, on the other hand the Toni Storm/Jamie Hayter promo was really awkward.

The Hardy's vs the butcher and the baker was crap and this fued with them and the AFO just wont end, it's draining the feelgood nostalgia factor from the Hardy's.

Shida vs Julia Hart was a sloppy botchfest, Shida's mediocre and Julia Hart looks fresh out of wrestling school.

The main event of FTR vs The Young Bucks was.......fantastic! :wow: I loved it, best match I've seen the latter have, it was like someone fitted a restraining bolt to Curly & Mo before the match, the pacing was great, both teams used their tags smartly, the big move sequences flowed really well into the finishing stretch with the fakeout 3 count before FTR hit the Big Rig for the win. The crowd was red hot throughout the match which elevated things and FTR were extremely over from the moment they came down the ramp to the big pop on the 3, hopefully they win the AEW tag titles next and build on this momentum. I'll be honest, I thought this match was better than FTR vs the Briscoes and I enjoyed it more.
