The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

I wonder if the whole thing dies down in 6 months. If it doesn't, and this stuff is still going on in January, does the Rock go like "Yeah, I don't know about a program with Roman, I'll focus on XFL instead."

Generally, these types of investigations often lead to more discoveries and more scandals. Something tells me this case is only the beginning for Vince.

Ironically, Vince could have boned a hundred ring-rat strippers across the American South and it wouldn't have meant much. But when he got his publicly traded company involved over one woman, and involved both his money and theirs, suddenly it becomes an actionable issue, especially if the other board members see him as an enemy of progress.

On his show yesterday, Pat McAfee said that he didn't know anything about what goes on at WWE Headquarters and that all he does is arrive, do his thing on Smackdown and leave. He did say what has been alleged is disgusting though.

I firmly believe what is really going to hurt him the most is that fact that he doubled this woman's pay while firing half of his roster. That's inexcusable.

What the **** was the point of this? Jesus Christ. Coming out acting like nothing is going on and bringing up this **** about “together”. No Vince we aren’t together with you in this **** at all. And these fans were cheering and applauding. Typical E drones. This man lost his damn mind a long time ago. Became so senile and has the most ridiculous ego ever add all of that to his fame, power and the money and this is what you get. What a terrible look. This is not something to be celebrated and these morons in the audience cheering. It’s a ****ing shame.

I think what this is, is Nick or one of the bigwigs on the board basically told the old man he can come out tonight and say a goodbye to his audience, and leave a positive last impression on them, because we don't know when we'll let you see them again.

To pop a rating and to blend the real world scandal in with the carney nature of pro wrestling. That's Vince's way of diffusing these things in the past, and it honestly might work. If nothing else comes out of course.

I can't believe they brought back Brock. The crowd was so hot for Riddle. Clearly the guy who should unseat Roman. But no, Brock vs. Roman for the one millionth time.

Oh I know it, doesn’t make it any less disgusting and horrible though. And I’m not saying it isn’t to you if you feel that way too. I know what you were saying though with that quote.

THATS WHAT THE FANS WANT. This is what Vince and his disciples believe so. You better ****ing be pumped and ready for it again! :o

This right here is why they struggle to make new stars that might propel them forward.

At the end of the day they will always push some wrestler from 20 years ago over their current crop of guys in a main event

So we're all going to hate the Rock when he faces Roman for the titles, but when his next film comes out after Black Adam we're all going to love him again......is that the plan for next year? If so, that's going to be interesting.

After watching Vince's little ratings ploy, I'm now confident that he is fighting a battle he knows that he won't win this time.

The IWC after the Rumble when the Rock challenges Roman for his titles: "I cannot believe that this old man is going to main event Wrestlemania stealing a spot from someone more deserving! I hate this guy!"
The IWC after Wrestlemania and the news of his next movie: "Oh that's cool, I cannot wait to see Dwayne in that movie!" or "Sounds good, The Rock should do well in that movie"

My point is that I get that Lesnar is a polarizing figure, that's fine. But this is how I see the fans reacting when the Rock comes back to main event Mania against Roman. It will go from hating the guy back to loving him again once he leaves and makes fun of Kevin Hart on a press junket.

I'd be embarrassed to work for the WWE right now. Talking about "we are together" after you fired half your roster while giving your mistress a pay raise is about as selfish as it comes. Vince is done in my eyes and I will never take him seriously as a promoter or character ever again. He should just retire and go spend time with his mistress instead of stinking up WWE tv even more than it already stinks.

This is what I don’t understand: you’re a multi-billionaire. Why not just hire all the hookers to your heart’s content and call it a day?

He didn’t say there would be though in his post?

Still, I doubt that everyone is ashamed to work for WWE. I bet there are some who are happy to work there. Do you think that everyone who works for the Washington Commanders is embarrassed to work for them? I highly doubt that Carson Wentz is. I don't think Chase Young feels embarrassed and ashamed to play for them either. The rookies and new free agents seem excited to play for them.

Also deleted that response. But I am using the Washington Commanders as an analogy for WWE.

I'm of a different mindset... I believe that little speech and putting Stephanie in charge is him being defiant to the bitter end and giving a middle finger to those coming after him... It's typical Vince becuz he's always won in the end before and at this point he believes he's untouchable... And even if he is somehow removed from WWE, he's not wrong because in the end, he'll still land on a pillow of money and never have to incur any real consequences. Losing his company will be a huge blow to him becuz it's his entire life, it's all he does 24 hours a day, but for normal people or regular business owners that would be the least of their worries in the same situation...
