The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

Thank God Mercedes Moné is not All Elite, like some of the marks were trying to predict.

TBH, I don't know if she's going to go back to WWE if it's sold to Saudi Arabia and Vince McMahon is in charge of Creative again. If Triple H is still in charge.......maybe, but she has wrestled in Saudi Arabia for WWE before.

Saudis would be an issue. Vince wouldn't. They get along, well. She even thanked him specifically before her NJPW debut.

DaParty (Adam Cole, Xavier Woods, Claudio/Cesaro and Tyler Breeze) new music video.

Cole with the body rolls and stank face expressions :funny:

Mercedes Mone could always wrestle a match at Forbidden Door.

So how would you guys feel if the new owners of WWE was......AEW?

I can't even fathom Disney getting into bed with WWE. It's just an odd combo IMO.

Tell that to R-Truth.

They are trying to divest themselves of ESPN and ABC, so I can't see them buying WWE.

Amazon could be interesting as Amazon owning WWE could send a bunch of WWE superstars onto Twitch, which Amazon owns. It's been Dakota Kai and Mia Yim streaming on Twitch.

Someone at Squaredcirlce's notes on this weeek's Observer when it comes to Mone:
From this week's observer:

-Meltzer expects Mone to win the IWGP women's title at the 2/18 show in San Jose. if she doesn't, thats a sign that she wouldn't commit to enough shows for New Japan to be comfortable

-there may be more seats open up for the San Jose show closer to the event

-Mone's next scheduled matches after San Jose are the undated Sumo Hall show (should be right after the New Japan Cup - late march/early april timeframe) and the 4/23 Stardom show at Yokohama Arena (apparently the biggest show Stardom has ever run and the biggest women's show in Japan in years). IWGP Women's Title defenses are tentatively scheduled for both the Sumo Hall and Yokohama shows adding to the belief that Mone is winning the title.

-unnamed backstage people are concerned that Mone is promoting Sendai Girls and TJPW more than the IWGP Women's Title and Stardom based on her social media posts. She went to the Sendai Girls Dojo and posted about women in different promotions she wanted to work with. This is looked down upon in Japanese business etiquette but Meltzer's is assuming its simply that no one told her

-Meltzer adds that she hasn't been to any Stardom show or Dojo (which I find odd because i thought it was reported she was backstage at Stardom's big show in the week leading up to Wrestle Kingdom. Can anyone shed light on that?)

Considering the content on SC, the bold seems pretty true. :funny:

Also Keller on Mone:

Full quote on Mercedes Moné: "I know it's not popular with people who really like her, but I'm just reporting what I'm told- I'm not saying she's at the CM Punk level of unpopular with fellow wrestlers and management (in WWE) but she has her critics, and the details I've been given indicate that she's earned it. And if Tony Khan did his due diligence and had to deal with her in negotiations, if it got that far, I mean, I'm not surprised. I'm just not.

And I know...people who are fans of her want her to be in AEW and show up Vince McMahon but....you're getting a lot. There's a lot that comes along with negotiating and working with her and some of the people whose opinions I respect the most who I talk to from WWE are not sad she's gone and that she should be brought back. They don't buy the spin that this was "standing up for their rights" against misogynistic sexism.....and there's women in the company who tell me this, by the way.

But I know people who really like her don't like hearing that. And again, I'm neutral on that- I don't care either way, I just want to convey what I hear and what I think is fair and trusted commentary on her, and so I'm not shocked that Tony Khan didn't bend over backward to make sure that happened (appear on Dynamite) and I'm not surprised Paul Levesque didn't either."

Yeah, she's vain. That's pretty obvious. She has more Punk then Becky to her, in that she wants the world to revolve around her. Which makes the clash between her fans and Charlotte's fans so ironic.

Also why I expect her back in the WWE soonish. They can handle Charlotte, they can handle Mone.

So, in the end who do you guys believe will be the ones to purchase WWE? Disney? Amazon? Comcast?

Make your predictions.

Edit

Gonna ask for one prediction. Which guy, and girl do you expect to last the longest in their respective Royal Rumble's? I'm gonna say Becky, and Solo Sikoa.

I still think Comcast is most likely.

As for the Rumbles. I expect Becky or Rhea to last the longest, with the winner coming out after the other, to protect them.

As for the men's. Longest will be either Sami, Seth, or Drew. Cody wins.

They are definitely cut from the same cloth, but I think it's telling that WWE bends over backwards for Charlotte and not Sasha. I wonder why...
