The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

Cody is just finished a program with Dominic and is likely continue his feud with Brock Lesnar, thus keeping him away from the world title picture.

LA Knight has not won any singles championship and likely should have won the MITB match given how over he's been lately.

Also, Bray Wyatt got lost in the shuffle not long after his big return.
Fighting (and beating) Brock Lesnar and the most over heel in pro wrestling (Dominic) is a push. In what world is that not a push?

LA Knight has been on the main roster for less then a year. I'm a fan, but why are you acting like he's been held down for some extended period of time? He's getting television time, every week.

Bray Wyatt's issue is his inability to write a coherent wrestling story or stay healthy. He wanted creative control, he got it. And then wrote himself off TV.

Now please tell me how all those obvious fan favorites I named, aren't being pushed. Or do only the ones you think aren't getting push, count? I listed more people then you did.

Watching Post Wrestling's post show for MITB, and they were talking about why the UK audience seemed to be into the faces and heels as they were actually aligned, unlike back in the day. And they of course said the obvious. WWE creative is listening. 5 years ago, LA Knight isn't in the MITB match. They don't get a chance to cheer him.

WWE ratings and ticket sales are up massively, because fans are enjoying the product. Unlike AEW, which has gone super cold.

Going from the Undisputed Championship to getting his ass handed to him by a glorified part-timer isn't what I would necessarily call a push. Sure, he has a pinfall victory over Brock. However, Brock has been the dominant one throughout most of their so-called feud.

While Seth Rollins is a clear fan favorite, he's also fortunate enough to have a lot of support with the right people backstage. Also, I still don't get why they gave the MITB briefcase to Damien Priest. Unless I missed something, he's not exactly drawing a lot of heat from fans as a heel.

You do you realize you just pointed out that Cody won the Rumble and got to main event Mania THIS YEAR. Is that not a push?

Also, if you've been watching it's clear Cody and Brock are wrestling at Summerslam in the rubber match. Apparently, it will be a gimmick match. I think it's safe to say, Cody will be going over. But even if he doesn't, he's having a trilogy with Brock. Who does that?

Seth doesn't count because he has support? Did Austin not count because he had support? The Rock?

They gave MITB to Damien, because he made a program work with one of the biggest celebrities in the world, in PR, and it was a smashing success for the WWE. He's also in the second most over group in WWE. It's story stuff, built week to week.

What about Iyo? Gunther? Owens and Sami? Do you think the Bloodline aren't fan favorites? How about Rhea and Asuka? Becky?

You said no fan favorites. That's clearly not the case.

Bloodline broke up, so Judgement Day moves up a spot Darth :oldrazz:

I'm gonna enjoy watching Simon's Ups and Downs of this event.

I don't think anyone could have called Shayna's turn.

I'd heard rumblings of Drew and Randy possibly appearing.

Cena was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

They are 30 mins and glorious. Love when they're live.

There was some talk about Shayna and Ronda wanting to wrestle not team a few months back, but even then, I was not prepared for that. :funny:

With Vinnie Mac still in charge of creative, I don't expect to see any fan favorites get major pushes any time soon. That old buffoon would rather burn his own company to the ground than listen to what fans want.

if Vince was booking the match, he would have let Logan Paul win.

I'm not 100% convinced of that. Priest has everything Vince loves to push as a top guy. Though I wouldn't be surprised that Vince was debating between Priest and Paul while LA Knight was just an afterthought.

I would have preferred Knight winning but I'm not upset with Priest getting the case, either.

I wonder what the story for the Shayna turn will be. I'm expecting it to be because Rhonda was stealing her spotlight, which is fine. Hope it leads to some sort of Shayna push. I miss her being a dominant badass.

Glad Lady Texana is tag champ again. Crowd seemed to react to her positively. The way she hesitated to look into Rhonda's eyes reversing the top rope armbar into a powerbomb was wonderful.

Iyo handcuffing Lynch and Bayley together was may favorite spot of any match. The rest, though, I just couldn't care. They tried to make some spots less obvious but still didn't help take away from the staginess of it all.

I'm not a Riddle fan, but him and Gunther had a good fight. Glad Gunther is still champ though, for the time being.

Cody is Cody, fun to watch and Dom Dom is a wonderful chicken**** heel. Ripley was great outside, adding to the match.

Skipped Rollins and Finn, couldn't even make it through Franklin's entrance.

Slept through Civil War.

I think that if Vince was 100% booking the match, it would have been Logan Paul, Otis, Boogs, Ziggler, One of Veer/Sanga/Jinder, Corbin and maybe Omos (although Omos has the Omosapiens).

I'm not convinced that Priest would be pushed to the moon under Vince. Besides, Vince wanted to bury GUNTHER and he has the size that Vince usually loves.

LA Knight back in 2013 when he was Slate Randall on NXT. He couldn't even get TV time a decade ago on NXT and now he is mega over on the main roster

I thought MITB was a great show, honestly. The Bloodline Civil War match I thought was fire. I think for me, that story has a lot more going for it now the Bloodline split in half. Doesn't feel like the same exact finish to matches and the stuff with the Usos has been great. I don't think Jey is gonna beat Roman for the title. I think Cody is still on line for that. But it's been Roman's best program I think in a while

I didn't know SmackDown was in MSG tonight. Man, I miss going to shows there.

So since I got home I've watched Austin Theory vs Sheamus, and Edge on the Grayson Waller effect. Edge is having a match against Grayson later tonight. Right now is AJ Styles vs Karrion Kross

Edit

Kross lost in under 2 minutes.

The way Samantha Irvin announces Chelsea Greens name is hilarious. Also congrats to her and Ricochet
