Raw thoughts, not the Chris Webby edition!
Things are building well between Punk and Seth, the promo exchange took an unusual approach with Rollins coming through the crowd and playing off being a fan. The brawl that followed was electric and so well shot, WWE's use of dynamic camerawork has massively elevated these scenes so much. I think there's still an elephant in the room that Punk and Seth haven't adressed but the first match is booked and will probably open the first Raw on Netflix.
I also liked seeing Drew trying to bring Seth into his viewpoint, I still think an Axis of bitterness with these 2 and Owens could be money.
Bron vs Kaiser was another solid match between the 2 but the amount of fails Kaiser is having isn't great for him. The finish also seemed a bit awkward, not sure if there was miscommunication or if Bron was genuinely a bit dazed.
Speaking of awkward finishes, I was glad to see Zoey Stark qualify in the Women's Intercontinental title tournament but damn that finish was a whiffer! And the match in general struggled as nobody in it is really over, I think they had it flow directly from the Liv/Rhea promo in the hope of Raquel syphoning off some of that heat, but it didn't really work.
The Rhea and Liv promo was fine, the Jimmy Hart Megaphone gimmick is an ideal addition for Liv. They didn't confirm it but I'm guessing the Women's World title match between them that Rhea said will be happening, happens on the Raw Netflix debut, and hopefully puts a button on this feud.
Apparently this video is for Penta? I'm not sure if it was him or his brother that I saw **** his arm up in some stupid spot in AEW, but one of them is heading to Raw for the Netflix debut.
Putting the War Raiders vs Balor & JD for the World tag team titles on last was an interesting choice, not really sure any of them are over enough for the main event but I applaud the effort to make the belts matter. I was a bit surprised to see Balor eat another pin but congrats to the Big hairy fellas on their big moment.
