The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

I don't plan on getting this new ESPN streaming service, but I plan on keeping Peacock for the English Premier League.

A lot of wrestling streamers have a VPN, so they will probably continue to watch it on Netflix (BTW, I am enjoying Any Given Saturday, about college football in the SEC. Only on episode 1, but it's fantastic so far).
I dont have a VPN currently. Just can't afford that stuff. I am already cutting back on lots of stuff. Last 2 years I got the Sunday Ticket to watch the Browns. Not this year. 30 bucks prices me out of PLEs. I will keep Peacock cause my kids watch some stuff on it and that I can pay annually and it isn't so bad. Plus I can watch Sunday Night Football. But yeah, I am going to be cord cutting a lot of services if you're trying to charge me this kind of money. It's just corporate greed to ask for 30 bucks

I am not a sports fan, so I am not going to subscribe to an ESPN streaming service just to watch PLEs live. Especially if they don't have anything else in WWE's tape library on there.

I know WWE's big thing now is to basically hand their TV rights over to whoever pays them the most money... but man I liked it so much better when I could consume their content in one place, either the Network or Peacock. But now I got to have a Netflix subscription to watch RAW every Monday, Peacock for everything else, and now I got to have an ESPN streaming service subscription to watch PLEs. They are literally all over the place.

Peacock has the ple's until the end of the year. So there's that. But after that having Raw on Netflix, Smackdown on Cable, Ple on ESPN, and Nxt on CW is too much. The appeal was having it all in one place for one price. And the network used to at least do original shows like legends house etc.

CW network is interested in TNA. That would be easier to watch for me. I could just stick to NXTNA. Hopefully that goes through.

With the exception of yesterday, NXT hasn't been great in recent weeks.

I'm making this announcement now. At the end of the year when John Cena retires at his final ple, I too will be retiring from ple's

:hi:

Cena's retirement tour has peaked. He did a monumental heel turn, got left to twist in the wind because The Rock and Travis Scott both flaked out and it died on the vine, and then he did the "you know what, NEVER MIND" babyface turn and passed the torch to Cody at SummerSlam. Honestly, that is the best its going to get. So what is supposed to be the appeal of him wresting Brock just so they both can get one last Saudi payday? Is he just going to limp along with the rest of this retirement tour? What can they possibly do to end this on a high note?

So people are blaming The Rock for this deal?
I guess

I've just seen that gif posted a bunch of times in response on Facebook and Instagram.

There's also a link somewhere of the wrestlers talking about how wonderful this is  I guess if they're getting paid more, good for them.

I dont blame them, it is sort of their job to shill for the company.

Yeah, that's just a bit too much of an up charge for PLE's. I think I pay $6 for Peacock. I thought if it was going to the cheaper version of the ESPN app (which is $11) that was doable. $30 ??? Absolute insanity. I'm sure people will pay for it, but maybe not as many as they hope. I expect a boom in VPN accounts lol.

Do you have regular old ESPN?

United revenge season incoming!

I dont have live TV or cable at all. So I don't have ESPN at all
I use a digital antenna I got from Best Buy for live TV. It's like 30 bucks, and there are cheaper versions you pay once ever . They work well, I cut cable many years ago with that. Basically an updated version of what we called rabbit ears back in the day. Then I switch the input on my TV for the streaming stuff.
