The Wrestling Thread has much larger nipples

Nice to see Mustafa Ali

Cody was able to finish his story, can he finish his?

Mara Sade is an interesting choice for Team TNA six months after her WWE release, although it does explain why Lash Legend lost. They don't want a situation where Lash and Mara are on opposite sides of the ring and there ends up being hesitation on both of their faces about fighting each other and the NXT crowd tells them to hug it out.

There was a Victoria Crawford (Alicia Fox) sighting tonight as well as Cedric Alexander and Matt Cardona and the former Xia Li.

No appearance by Dolph Ziggler though. And I hope that Matt and Jeff Hardy win because I hate Dark State.

So yeah, Oba Femi is getting called up, because he wasn't there tonight, not even among the NXT talent in the last segment.

I'm thinking he's going to answer Sammi's open challenge, and probably win.

Also Jordynne Grace and Joe Hendry not being part of either team is inserting. Personally I'd like to see Jordynne go to Smackdown to challenge Giulia.

Victoria Crawford, Mustafa Ali, Matt Cardona, Mara Sade, Yei Ling Li, Elijah (before he was injured), Ash by Elegance, AJ Francis, Zack Wentz, The Inspiration, Brian Myers, The Hardys, Xia Brookside and Cedric Alexander have now all appeared in NXT since they were last under WWE contracts.

No appearance yet by Indi Hartwell or Nic Nemeth.

We need a Mara Sade and Lash Legend backstage interaction. I was surprised neither of them were ever called up.

Smackdown was tightly booked this week, with some really good in-ring action.

The US title open challenge was a strong match between Zayn and Black, that also saw the trigger being pulled on the Miz and Melo tension beforehand, and Black vs Priest in a Last Man Standing match being set up in the aftermath.

Zaruca vs Chelsea & Alba was a fun tag match, I know Sol is the being earmarked as a top future singles star, but I'd like to see them move to the main roster as a team, as the division is threadbare.

Good to see Je'Von Evans on the show, I think filtering NXT talent into the main roster like this is a good idea, it gives them a chance to be seen in front of bigger audience, but gradually, while they continue to develop in NXT.

The Crown Jewel Women's contract signing was a bit stiff, as promos aren't the strongest suit of either Lady, and while I liked Giulia inserting herself, I'm still not buying this pairing with Kiana, she's playing her role well enough but she has no cache to be acting like a female Heyman, and it makes Giulia look less, as she's a world travelled star and she's kinda being led by a rookie, it's not either woman's fault, it's just an unconvincing dynamic. At least the tag match it set up for next week should be good.

These Solo vignettes they've been playing over the last few weeks are treading an odd line between brooding crime family and the precursor to an erotic orgy. I wonder who the final piece could be that Solo was talking about. 🤔

Heyman's promo wedging more uncertainty between Cody and Orton was well done, and the main event was a good match that once again had the Brons looking strong, they've done a good job with the consistency of the push for these 2, and are really getting them over, the running knee on Cody from Bron that put him through the barricade looked great, and Reed pinning Orton with the Tsunami was another huge moment for him. The aftermath with Seth also did a good job of continuing the build for the Crown Jewel main event.

Sting's son Steven Borden made his pro debut last night at a show where he was in a tag team against Darby Allin and Killer Kross.
