Damn that Dolph promo was money! They need to show that on Raw, it felt like a lot of it was real as opposed to storyline driven.

I hope he gets to do a similar promo on TV soon because as much as the crowd already likes him, this would be great for him.

This was THAT MOMENT for Ziggler. Just like the 2011 Pipepomb was THE MOMENT for Punk or the Austin 3:16 KOTR promo was THE MOMENT for Austin.

What logical reason is there for putting such a good promo on a damn APP. I know that supposedly it's been downloaded 10 million times or whatever but still. Doesnt make sense to me.

... and now I miss bat**** crazy R-Truth :csad:
I miss him everytime that poor excuse of Truth is on my screen.

It's my 4 year Anniversery here on the Hype and I just want to let you guys know that this thread is truly the one reason I went from a long-time lurker, to signing up and why stick around. I'm here everyday, whether I post or not and I do read everyone's posts.

I know I never say anything game changing or thought provoking and you guys put up with my lame attempts at jokes, but I enjoy the fun we have with each other and here's to the many years to come.
This thread and its creatures are the only reason I'm still here too.

Bless you Hat Guy.

Also, Lobo, MMMM...Pancakes, Triple R, The Chris, Pink Ranger etc...Anyone lurking this thread, What are your thoughts on the Ziggler promo I linked here? That's probably the closest to a pipebomb that we'll get from him so I'd love your thoughts guys.

Honestly, I think it could have been a defining promo for the guy, if it ACTUALLY MADE IT ONTO THE F___CKIN SHOW! How does good promos by underutilized talents end up on Backstage Fallout and the damn WWE APP? Put it on TV where people will see it
They haven't allowed the real Ziggler on TV for years. Here's a guy who's had great matches with almost all the top talents from Del Rio to Punk and Cena to Orton. A guy with a real passion for the business. He'll bleed for the company, he'll travel to exhaustion and then He'll steal the show. Ziggler at this point should be in the main event rotation. There is simply no excuse for him not to be. He was probably in the top five pops at the RR, even bigger than Batista's. I honestly don't get. He is charismatic and good looking which means he can capture the female audience as well. They're really shooting themselves in the foot not using him properly, but then again how is that a surprise?

All I can say is if I'm getting emotional watching a promo, it means somebody's doing something right.

It could also mean I'm off my meds, but most likely the former.

Cesaro should be face by default because Swagger has no charisma.

Ziggler, Punk and Bryan should have been at the forefront of the authority angle. The fact they tried to hand it off to Big Show and Cena is what threw it's momentum completely off the rails.

They really could've had something special, but they really **** that up. Probably missed out on a lot of money too.

Agreed completely, that would have been ideal but what did they do? Decide to intentionally screw these guys over just in time for the Macmahons to take a ride on the frickin Part Timer Express. It has to be on the core motives behind this crap...Why I say that? Because there's this recurring theme of burying and screwing over rising talent during the Fall in order to justify making Mania Season into Nostalgia season. For them, the Summer is a stop gap period to rebuild good will with their audience so they can slap them in the face again once Summer is over. That's what it seems like to me.

Outside of the fact that Anytime HHH involves himself in a big angle, he gets carried away and pushes himself over everyone else.

Imagine SS being headlined by a Triple H/Orton/Shield vs. Punk/Bryan/Ziggler/Rhodes bros elimination match. Reigns could have still had a star making performance by having him be the last one eliminated by either Bryan or Punk. But what do I know. I'm just an internet smark.

That Ziggler promo is better than most promos we see today due to the sheer emotion about it, and it's a shame it was relegated to WWE.com. Those are the type of promos that get people behind your character, that make people fans (as if Ziggler is struggling to make fans). That's a promo that helps make main eventers.

Damn shame.

Ziggler's comments on the "pipe bomb" he did for the APP:

thanks @wwe app for letting me be ME 1 day we'll do it on tv.
ps cesaro is a badass, congrats buddy
Hopefully They'll either show this on Raw ORRRRRRR Let him do a variation of this promo on Raw. Either way, this was gold and WWE would be foolish not to let the world hear something this good.

Agreed completely, when promos like this are done, they should be either on TV or on PPV not on the internet or a fricking APP. boneheaded move by WWE I tell ya.

- As we’ve noted this week, some of CM Punk’s frustration had to do with being booked against Triple H in a match at WrestleMania XXX. Word is that Punk felt that a program with Triple H is not a “big feud and a big match” when he’s stated numerous times that he wanted to main event the biggest show of the year.

Haitch was ******** over that I bet. :lmao:

If that's true, I couldn't agree more with Punk. Beating HHH at this point means nothing, and HHH is too old to have a great in-ring performance. I can fully understand why Punk, who is nearing the end of his prime, would want to make the best of the years he has left. He can't do that with the likes of Kane and HHH.

They better make a T-shirt or Hoody for Ziggler that says "I WILL NOT BE OUTSHINED" on it after that epic promo of his on that stupid App.

Watched the Dolph promo earlier. Holy ****! Hopefully this leads to something huge for the guy but honestly the way he's been booked in the past year makes me extremely skeptical.

Okay, the possibilities for Wyatts vs the Shield are awesome. I loved the promo with Triple H in the beginning - it actually made the Wyatts look like a serious threat, like the Authority is wary of them and HHH wants to protect his mercenaries. Which, of course, only infuriates the Shield more. I predict that at the end of that feud, the Shield will finally fall apart and the Wyatts will emerge as the bigger bad.
To be honest, I have hard time to buy how three crazy hillbillies could be so scary, but it's still cool.
It seems that Roman and Dean will have a singles fued soon, but I wonder where Seth goes; will he be involved, and if yes (it seems likely to me) whose side would he be on? So far he acts like the voice of reason of the group and looks more like a face than Ambrose, but I guess we'll see.

Ah, and Alexander Rusev. It's cool to see a bulgarian in the WWE. Back in the early 00s wrestling was insanely popular in Bulgaria lol. He cut a fun little promo. "There will be monuments in my honor, streets will be named after me. The name Rusev will be remembered for thousands of years." Arrogant much? He probably speaks better English than this, but this character needs a mouthpiece. I dig the chick. Though in all honesty, I don't think he'll go far with this gimmick, there is only so much heat that an Evil Foreigner can get in this day and age.

A thing I could see happen, is this Monday hhh buries punk hard on the mic. Claims he had no guts how everyone loved him, use the chants as proof and say he was selfish and just ran away when he didn't get what he wanted

It might be the simplest way to address the whole thing while using to an advantage.

Umm just seen the dolph promo, why in the holy hell was that relegated to ****ing app. Seriously there is dolph, Bryan, punk and more all busting they're ass on all aspects and could do huge across all media(this week alone proved that) and are all pushed back to give some roided up, dress to young selfish *****ebag of a grandfather/actor/part timer ( take your pick it applys to all the past few years)

Why the heck wasn't that promo on Smackdown? Dolph was fantastic. His words were good but more importantly, his delivery felt honest and heartfelt. That was nearly an Austin 3:16 or Pipebomb moment.

Dolph Ziggler is money. The man is rounding himself out as a worker. I can't figure out what he's missing now. The ability to give a promo like that was the one component lacking. Now he's got it.

Let him cut one like that on RAW. Particularly in this time. The crowd might start hijacking segments to chant his name too.

Agreed with all of this. That NEEDS to have been on tv. That was his Austin 3:16 moment. That was a damned good and emotional promo.

I just don't understand why Ziggler isn't pushed properly. He's the total package. Not only is he a good wrestler, he also has a superstar look (unlike, say, Bryan), he's a good talker and he's entertaining to watch. This is a guy who has IT. The only thing he needs is support and faith from the brass. Give him a push, put him in a good feud where his character could be developed and his abilities can shine and then just profit. But nooooooo.

Even I have to admit that Dolph has that superstar look that the company goes for more than Bryan does. His mouth has gotten into trouble, though his comments IMO weren't anything to warrant taking away his push.
