Guess for six NXT picks: Finn Balor, Bayley, Nakamura, Joe, American Alpha, and The Revival.

Since SmackDown Live is a two-hour show and Raw is three hours, for every two picks SmackDown Live receives, Raw will receive three picks.

Lol.

So six NXT talents are going to be drafted......

If the rumors are true about NXT signings (Ibushi, Gran Metalik, Cedric Alexander, ZSJ, Jack Gallagher, Tozawa, Lince Dorado, Big Damo, Tommy End, Roderick Strong, Noam Dar) plus rumors of the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and Adam Cole next year NXT is going to reload fast.
I think ZSJ is going to have to bulk up a bit if he wants to make it in the WWE.

My picks are Finn Balor, Bayley, American Alpha, Tye Dillinger, Mojo Rawley (to join Ryder) and Alexa Bliss.

I wonder if a brand can draft an NXT guy and retain rights to him or her when they eventually go up. Or will they have to jump ship right away.

Right away I'm guessing.

It would be interesting if in some cases, American Alpha for instance, the main show keeps their NXT pick on NXT for a while, and just stops discussing them for a few weeks until they debut later. It gives the WWE the veneer of a legitimate sport (player development, farm teams, etc.) while allowing the show to spread out the big pops that a debut of a new talent can bring to the show. Myself, I'd rather have talents like Bayley, AA and The Revival debut after Summerslam, and not necessarily immediately after either.

There's a rumor that Bayley will be Sasha's mystery partner at Battleground, but the hope that I've heard some people have is that Bayley doesn't get drafted, that way her appearance at Battleground can truly be shocking and more impactful.

And guaranteed to be the more over with the crowd, easily.

Sasha's partner is going to be a returning Harvey Wippleman in drag.

Would they draft Joe even tho he's the NXT champion? He'd be doing double duty

If he loses the belt to Nakamura, then that could be a big hint that he's on his way up to the main roster soon.

so, over the weekend, I ventured onto Youtube and listened/watched Finn Balor's theme and entrances for the first time.

Holy ****!! :wow:

I was watching his "goofing off" segments with Bayley, and they were awesome. :)

SEVEN hours of Raven shooting! :wow:

Big E, Paige, Sasha, and Owens were NXT Champions when they were called up. Being a title holder doesn't necessarily matter, guys.

I am going to have a long post about NXT as I've been noticing something about it and I can't tell whether or not it's good for NXT......

NXT began as a developmental system to get guys and girls ready for the main roster. As time progressed, it became less and less developmental and more "Indies" like. I thought that when the WWE announced the Draft, we'd all expect NXT to be raided and it likely will and NXT goes back to what it was originally intended to be with guys like Austin Aires serving in a player-coach type capacity. However, I hear rumors that the next NXT signing spree will include a bunch of Indie names and guys from the CWC. These guys are rumored for NXT in the next several months:

- Kota Ibushi
- Gran Metalik
- Tommy End
- Zack Sabre Jr.
- Lince Dorado
- Cedric Alexander
- Jack Gallagher
- Big Damo
- Noam Dar
- Akira Tozawa
- Roderick Strong

Plus rumors of Adam Cole, Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks (and I heard in a rumor from yesterday) Jay Lethal all of interest to NXT in 2017. To add alongside a roster of Austin Aires, Hideo Itami, Shinsuke Nakamura, TM-61, Gargano and Ciampa, Bobby Roode, Eric Young (possibly), Rhino, Rich Swann and Oney Lorcan (the former Biff Busick). As loaded as that roster is going to be a year from now if all of those guys sign with NXT, it won't leave any room for the "Homegrown" guys like all Josh, Mada and ZZ from the last Tough Enough.

This tells me that the Homegrown guys aren't progressing well enough to get on TV, which is leading to all of those Indy guys rumored for NXT. These guys are in the localized Florida House shows for NXT, but if NXT signs all of those Indie guys there's not going to be any room for them and NXT will officially become the third brand ECW wasn't.

Is this good or bad for NXT? Do they bring back FCW for the Homegrown talent? Do they send some of the Homegrown talent to Evolve?

I heard a rumor awhile back that some in WWE (including Triple H) wanted to potentially make NXT into more of a third brand on par with Raw and Smackdown. Which honestly, I'd be all for.

And if they were to end up doing that, then all of a sudden it'd make more sense to keep some of their top talent (Joe, Nakamura, Bayley, Asuka, etc) instead of moving them to the other brands.

I think they'll keep one of Joe or Nakamura and I think Nia Jax will be drafted. Would not be surprised if Carmella is drafted either, meaning two of their big names stay. Or Bayley isn't drafted, but is Sasha's partner at Battleground and that's how she debuts.

If they were to make NXT a third brand on par with Raw and Smackdown, what do they do with the Homegrown talent? Bring back FCW? Send them to Evolve? Buy out FIP and make that the true developmental?

They make NXT a third brand, they'll need a secondary singles title.

I'd say the second option you listed is where they would go, Evil. EVOLVE seems like a natural fit should NXT just became a touring brand.

Goodness, Steph looks good in that dress!
