Days of Future Past The X-men UNIFORM evolution on the sequel

Just give me that. Can you do that Singer, can you?

X-Force inspired-costumes for the the original trilogy X-Men would be amazing! They would look bad-ass! I just hope their costumes would have individuality so they won't look very similar to each other's costume.

Wolverine = should have those scratch-like design
Rogue = jacket
Storm = cape

X-Force would be a nice compromise for a more superhero look (which I assume Fox wants because of the success of Avengers) & Singer's stupid ass black leather costumes.

In the movies I always found it weird that Storm had a cape when all her teammates didn't. I mean I know storm's original costume has a cape but on screen it looked weird as no one else had one. It would have made more sense of she didn't have one which would emphasise the whole team uniforms or if they all had their own indivdual loks like Avengers.

I personally love storm with a cape but it still seemed weird.

because she was the member who could fly. And it was a clear nod to her comic costume.

if she hadnt one, the fans would have complained even more, lol

I don't see what flying has to do with a cape. And Storm didn't properly fly until X3. In X1 she slightly levitated out of an elevator shaft and In X2 she never flew.

If they had somehow found a way for the cape to be usefult o storm. Like Banshee and his wings. or if they had just had storm make a passing comment on how she loved capes or something it would have been better as it would have been a persobality statement which would individualise her but they make no mention of it and it stands out. Also the cape in the movies really restrict her fighting. In X31 and X3 Storm can barely lift her arms to defend herself. They should have given her the cape wings she has in the comics or not have given her one at all.

I understand that the cape was a nod to the comics but why didn't the do the same for Jean and Logan. And Rogue, Iceman and nightcrawler in X2. They all had completely different costumes with no nods to their comic book looks.

It was not weird to me. Like Angamb said, the cape is nod to her costume in the comics.

And for Rogue, Iceman, Nightcrawler, Jean and Logan. Their costume might not have an inspiration to the comics but Storm's cape was something that was very easy to pull off. Plus Logan had his jacket and the sleeveless white shirt and the scratch-like design on his X-Men costume. Rogue had her gloves and sometimes she was wearing a hood.

I hope the costumes are in the vein of Storm's pilot suit in X3.

It's not leather and it incorporates blue and yellow while still maintaining the general aesthetic the other suits had.

I hope the characters in the future are wearing something more like the comic book costumes. Storm needs her cape (the winged design from the comics), and even her headdress could be adapted as a communication earpiece. If Nolan can find a way to give Catwoman her pointy ears, there is no excuse.

yeah, I think this direction is the right one, just give each x-men her comic colour on some parts of the costume and show all the uniforms bit broken and dirty, and There you have it!

It looks better on screen and seems much less restrictive than the leather outfits. Plus it looks good on halle. Shame no one else got to wear one I'd have liked to see how it would have looked on the others.

Id LOVE to see Anna wearing an uniform like that but on green and some yellow

:hrt:

You guys don't think it looks too much like a pilot uniform? I'm with X-maniac on this one. Let the 60's X-men wear their blue and yellow flight suits. Give the future X-men their signature garb including Storm's black leather with cape (though I wouldn't mind the simple punk look of leather vest paired with a mohawk but I think that's just me LOL).

No pilot uniforms for the future please :(

It's too boring, too much of a reminder of X3 and I'd prefer a skintight outfit on Halle. That suit looks okay from the neck to the waist then it is all creased across her hips and it makes her look too thin when she is much more curvy.

Simple answer: No!

I definetly get the pilot vibe from that Storm uniform, but it was used just for one scene on X3, so if Singer give them colour uniforms, we can be sure it wont be the same design.

There many possibilities today to adapt comic costumes, as we have seen on movies like F4, Spiderman, Captain America or Man of steel recently, so Singer and co. can do a good work easily.

any decent designer could copy the best ideas from those costumes and create the x-men uniform, you know :D

I for sure can do it

No, Halle needs a skintight outfit. They managed it on Black Widow and Catwoman, and Halle has just as good a body as those women.

Let's be a little more adventurous, and truer to the comics.

Those In future probally won't be In any superhero uniforms.

Yes a skintight outfit would look good on Halle.I always wished when she played catwoman they gave her an outfit closer to Michelle Pfeiffer's.She would have rocked It.Well at least they give her a whip.I still can't believe Nolan didn't give Catwomen a whip In Dark Knight Rises.

TDKR had a lot more problems than a simple whip could fix but let's not go there :P

Speaking of comic book movie costumes one thing they should try to avoid is the Spalding basketball material costumes that they've managed to do with new Spidey, new Supes and even Catwoman's costume. It looks really cheap.

I get your point, but honestly I dont see too much of a difference between that Storm uniform and Black Widow, in terms of body fit.

Storm just needs to show a bit of her chest, and have a cape, and thats most of the work, you know :woot:

she can show her hands too, if some fans want more skin, but they cant use the same design of comic Storm because there she show toooooooooo much skin, like many other x-woman on the comics.

The actresses would look more like pornstars than a serious heroine, hehe.

Well I could also mention the problems I had with ending,JGL's entire character
and what was done to character of Talia. But,I thought I would limit It to no whip for catwoman.

But storm and most of suruvung mutants may be In prisoner's uniforms In DOFP.Any redisned superhero costumes would likely be saved for 1960's.

They don't have to be in prison garb if they're prisoners. They could be in the same uniforms from when they were captured.

exactly.

I mean, there will be many mutants with the prisioner costume, but the x-men who gets captured during the movie, will be in their regular clothes, either in uniform or casual clothes

Id would like to see some x-men in a prisioner costume, tho. It would be something unseen on the movies, so they cant miss this chance

It's obvious why she didn't have a whip. He wanted something new, not the same as the Michelle Pfeiffer or Halle versions. I can see why he opted for something slightly different. Most importantly, they found a way to make the pointy ears work and Hathaway's Catwoman never looked silly or out of place, even in his very grounded world.

I wouldn't expect that exact comic book outfit, which was more like something for the beach.

But they can provide the winged cape, high heeled boots (because Storm glides and flies and doesn't have to run!), a skintight outfit (like the one mohawk Storm wore) and maybe even the headdress could be worn as a communication device or headpiece.
