There's no arcade mode?! What is the main single player mode then? Nice videos. I hope SFVI is on Xbox again.
yep. as of now. no arcade mode in SF V. shocking isn't it?
Hell, they didn't even have the option to choose a CPU opponent in Exhibition match at launch. It was only Player vs Player.
that's how messed up and barebones it was.
the main single player mode? I guess the only sp mode where you'd spend the most amount of time is the challenge/survival mode ( or whatever they call ). basically, you try to survive through as many opponents on a single life bar. the # of opponents is based on the difficulty level. If you survive all opponents for that difficulty level, you unlock more colors - for the costume you used to bear survival mode.
which is a tedious way to unlock colors.........
other than that, there's the main full length Story mode. and then individual "story modes" for each character, which feature nice artwork cutscenes, but are so laughably short and easy ( talking about 2-4 single round matches per character ) that it offers no challenge whatsoever.
so yeah, a proper Arcade Mode is LONG overdue..........and with that, SF V finally feels more like a complete game. to me at least.
and yeah, SF VI needs to go multiplat.
speaking of which, Capcom also announced a massive SF Collection game that IS going multiplat ( PS4, X1, Switch, PC ). It's coming in May 2018 and includes all the SF 2, SF III, and SF Alpha games.
