Well, I'd argue I still would want her to have the iconic red hair, but otherwise I'd agree.

her overall "style" and look in those pics is way more evocative of what MJ is supposed to be. give her red hair or at least reddish highlights in her hair and there you go.

I've said this before but Hollywood doesn't believe in non-white redheads. Hell, I'm sure people here don't even know that there are a lot of biracials with red hair that exist or that being a redheaded black person is very common, hell the same for being a Latino with red hair, and that there even redheaded Asians.

If Zendaya is Mary Jane or another version of MJ she is not gonna be a red head.

The thing that's funny is if they asked her to be a redhead, Zendaya would have no problem accepting.

If, like you said, Zendaya does turn out to be MJ, why don't they at least have her be a redhead? I'm fine with Zendaya playing her, but is it too much to ask that the character still have her visual defining trait?
